  1. RIP Klaus!!! ? I really got into Tangerine Dream back in the mid-80's. Picked up a few of their albums on cassette tape and played them in my car stereo or my portable walkman wherever I went, until I had pretty much worn them out. Great stuff!!! Gotta start working on updating those streaming playlists now!
  2. Those classic analog Moog, Jupiter, and Prophet sounds will be found among the original 22, except for the DX-7. You may want to check out the new GS-V, which is based on the early Yamaha GS-1 FM synth, or the new KW-8000, based on the Korg digital-analog hybrid DW-8000. Or the new Pro VS, based on the Prophet VS, with 4 digital oscillators through an analog filter.
  3. I'm happily skipping the GS-V install. Not a huge fan of Yamaha FM. ? Same with the rest. Going to cherry pick what I put on my drive. Already have a lot of the same synths covered by emulations from Arturia V Collection, Korg Collection, u-He, and Cherry Audio. No need to duplicate my Moog, OB, Prophet, and Roland units with samples until I find a good reason to do so... But I'm gladly making and exception for the M-12, because that's friggin awesome!!!
  4. Go for the 11 new synths first.
  5. Yay!!! ... and I'm in with Syntronik 2 M-12. Downloading now... (tip: if you have already installed a synth in the Syntronik 2 CS version, you just need to click on reinstall in IKPM) Holy crap!!! 19.3 GB ?
  6. EZD 3 does not replace EZD 2 on your system it installs side by side. All new!
  7. There's been another new update to SynthMaster 2.9.12. Bulent posted this over at KVR today: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8418427#p8418427 "Guys, please check for updates inside SynthMaster and download the latest version (2.9.12, revision 12558). That version fixed critical issues for the vst3 version."
  8. I thought Rikk was funny, and just a bit over the top. But a good explainer!
  9. These modules will also run in the free version of VM. So it's actually a rather inexpensive way to get an unofficial Moog modular! On sale now for $49. https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/vm900-collection
  10. The Year 3 Collection would add the VM900 Collection for me. It's on my wishlist, but has to wait for my budget to catch up from the other spring sales. The VM900 delivers the audio and visual experience of the legendary Moog 900-series modules... The 26-module VM900-series collection has not been altered or updated to reflect modern trends - panel layouts and operation have been preserved in order to present a one-to-one early analog experience like no other. From oscillator drift to warm mixer overdrive to painstakingly reproduced panel art, it’s all there - the Cherry Audio/MRB VM900 Collection is simply a “must-have” module set for all purveyors of vintage analog synthesis! Moog’s 900 series modular in software, all beautiful imperfections included, in Cherry Audio remake https://cdm.link/2021/10/moogs-900-series-modular-in-software-all-beautiful-imperfections-included-in-cherry-audio-remake/ It’s not so easy to get an authentic-sounding recreation of the classic 1960s Moog modular. So that makes Cherry Audio’s unofficial version welcome to all of us modular fans...
  11. Well that's partly true. Partly because the updated synths do not come with 100% v2 presets. It's a mix of the old and new. I think a lot of the original confusion that some users had was with this point. The synth upgrades are partial content upgrades. Only the upgraded presets can be used in the new editor. If this GB goes all the way to 33, it will result in you having the equivalent content of Syntronik 2 MAX. Even if you are still only running Syntronik 2 CS. The synth engines are the same for all Syntronik 2 editions.
  12. Q. Why would I want to upgrade my original Syntronik 1 synths to Syntronik 2 versions? A. Simple, the 22 original synth presets are included in the v2 version, along with some new presets that can use the all new Edit panel in Syntronik 2. Q. Why would I want to use the all new v2 Edit panel? A. Because you will get access to 4 oscillators, 2 sub-oscillators, a number of wave sets that are assignable to the oscillators, ability to turn drift on/off, and a modulation matrix. Plus control of all parameters appearing on the original Syntronik instrument front panel. The front panels are still available, of course.
  13. I guess we could be rude and give them a ? "Meh" like, and the OP would go negative, but that's not like us to do such a thing, right?
  14. The original 22 synths from Syntronik 1 are also available in Syntronik 2 versions. There are also 11 all NEW synths for Syntronik 2. Listed here >>> https://www.ikmultimedia.com/syntronik2gb/ You will need all 33 Syntronik 2 synths to have everything. If you buy 1, get 10 free (soon), you can get all the NEW synths right away. Then if the Group Buy goes all the way, you can get the remaining 22 for Syntronik 2. Either way, the original Syntronik 1 synths will play in Syntronik 2. So the best plan is to figure out which of those v1 to replace with v2 as the GB adds more freebies!
  15. I have 786 GB free space available on my samples drive. Tell me I won't have to use all that! I still need space for the EZdrummer 3 core library!
  16. Larry, please feel free to save your $40. While your generous offer is sincerely appreciated, I'm pretty certain we can make it without your donation!
  17. Get your wallets ready! Only 37 more to go until 10 free products! That means you can get all 11 NEW synths for the price of 1. $35 + 15 Jam Points.
  18. The official Syntronik 2 Wish List can be found here: https://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=19887
  19. This EZdrummer 3 upgrade appears to be living up to, or exceeding, most expectations for EZdrummer 2 users! I'm glad that I pre-ordered!
  20. Make sure you log into your Cherry Audio account to see what discounts you may have earned there. For example, the Year 3 Collection is priced at $49.82 for me, since I already own a couple of the included bundles. That's significantly less than the full sale price at EP.
  21. The free Tone2 NanoHost has a random patch generator built-in to the menu, that can randomize any hosted VST2 synth's preset. Results can vary and are experimental (may crash), but I have found that it works fairly well with the free OB-Xd from DiscoDSP. https://www.tone2.net/nanohost.html https://www.discodsp.com/obxd/ OB-Xd Desktop is free for non-commercial use. Buying a license removes this restriction. $49. Here's a few other synths that have built-in randomization, but not free: Tone2 Warlock. My favorite! Very cool random generator! $69 https://www.tone2.net/warlock.html AIR Loom II. Another favorite! Sometimes for sale at a deep discount. It was $4.99 at JRRshop a couple of years ago... AIR Vacuum Pro. NI Absynth 5. Included in NI Komplete. A little out of my comfort zone, but makes some very interesting sounds. NI Massive (original). Included in NI Komplete.
  22. The OP did post this, which fully covers things, IMO.
