  1. Glad you found them! Just make sure that you have have fully installed all of the synths and presets before you attempt to load the multis. In my experience trying to load a multi without all of the necessary presets available in the path will usually cause Syntronik to crash. Occasionally it leaves a blank slot, but this usually causes a crash for me. How do I know this? I declined to install the GS-V at 31 GB. So I had to hide about 21 multis in the Syn 2 and Syn 2 MAX multis folders that called up the GS-V. So yep, lots of work, but saving 31 GB of SSD space was worth it!
  2. You need to select from the last promo in your promotions list (#32) to trigger the addition of the multis to your account. Peter posted this earlier today:
  3. Well the sale was up for 30 days...
  4. I can see how some folks might perceive the bundle vs. a la carte approach as different. But there really is no material difference here since either way it's all a "not for resale" thing, and you get everything included in MAX, including the new MAX multis! Make music and be happy!
  5. Not to rock the boat, but here's the web page from May 26th via the Wayback Machine >>> https://web.archive.org/web/20220526101731/https://www.ikmultimedia.com/syntronik2gb/
  6. I used the IK Product Manager to download and install the synths. Rather smooth and mostly trouble free. Have you tried that yet?
  7. In general I agree that more engines are not really necessary, unless you cannot do what you need to with a mainstream engine like Kontakt. For example, I'm not crazy about the Spitfire Audio Player, and not sure that was really necessary. Plus you have to load an instance on each track. I see a parallel with Soundpaint and MNDALA. Soundpaint was created to enable a new way of handling velocity and morphing, which obviously needed an engine written from the ground up. This description of the MNDALA technology is a bit more mysterious, but it sounds like Mntra are also attempting to break some new ground... They are a small company, so we will just have to wait and see how things work out. Their stuff does sound good, and it seems to have a loyal following on VI-Control.
  8. I'm going through the MAX multis right now, and opening any crashing multi in a text editor to see what instruments it calls for. I now have all but one of the "new" 11 synths installed, and have reinstalled many, but not all of the original 22 synths. The new one that I left out is the GS-V at 31GB, yikes!!! I may install more of the original 22 synths beyond my favorite dozen or so, depending on disk space... I will probably go into the multis folder and rename (hide) any multi files that call for synths I don't plan to install.
  9. OK, I confirmed this by installing my two missing instruments. The multi loads fine now! Of course, I wish that Syntronik 2 threw an error regarding missing instruments instead of just crashing.
  10. This is a very nice virtual analog synth with some of that juicy fatness. On sale $29 right now! https://www.waves.com/plugins/element#image
  11. I just loaded Pentagon in Cakewalk for the first time in a very long time. Good news is that it did not crash Cakewalk when I saved it in a new project, and then reopened it. But the bad news is that I remembered why I had stopped using Pentagon, even though it can make some great analog sounds.... The optional "Simulator" section is used by some presets, and that can cause the Cakewalk audio engine to freeze/lock up. Some sort of audio feedback loop? I remember scook discussing this a long time ago. At one point I considered going through all presets and saving them all with "Simulator" switched to "off". But there are like 6 banks of 128 presets each to sift through!!!
  12. Maybe the rollout is taking some time to get to everybody. Just check back later and contact support if nothing shows up.
  13. Correct. It's only on the website.
  14. FYI: Just noticed that any multi that tries to load a synth that isn't installed yet will cause an instant crash of the standalone, or the plugin will crash your DAW. I looked inside one of the crashing multi files using Notepad++ (they are XML, so human readable), and yup, there are two out of three synths that I don't have installed. The Harpy and the Memory V.
  15. Nope. "Syntronik 2 Multis" is in "My Products" list at the top. Most recent entry.
  16. Your Syntronik 2 multis have been registered to your IK user area. Log into your account to access the download.
  17. Mntra posted this a while back...
  18. 1.7.12 is the current release on the website...
  19. c0000005 is an access violation. An Access Violation is a type of Exception caused when an application Reads, Writes or Executes an invalid Memory Address. The Exception Code is 0xC0000005 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/shows/inside/c0000005 Probably best to find a newer synth for the intended use... TL/DR: That is a code bug... that synth is no longer supported, so hope for a fix is non-existent...
  20. I like the look and feel of MODO Bass 2 CS better than the previous version of MODO Bass 1, even though it's a bit annoying to be blocked when clicking on certain items. I think the same bass with the same settings sounds better in the new version, but that could be subjective! ?
  21. Is there any way that IK could grant all Group Buy participants an NFR license for Syntronik 2 MAX? That would resolve everything!
  22. If you scroll down the promo items list, it also will not allow you to select the same one twice as a promo! However, if you already had a license for any of them prior to the GB, you can pick them again.
