  1. Yes indeed, that is very strange! I might speculate that something, somewhere is corrupt. I would try re-scanning your plugins with a "Reset" in Cakewalk Preferences > VST Settings > Scan Options. If that doesn't work, try re-installing Cakewalk.
  2. Don't forget to check any Waves plugins that you acquired in the past year! They are still covered by the 1 year WUP plan that was included with new plugins, so you can activate v14 for them! I found 9 plugins/bundles that were eligible, including the new Waves Cosmos and CR8 sampler! I also upgraded to the Inspire Virtual Instruments bundle in the past year, so all of my Waves instruments are still covered! You will need to log in to your account on the Waves website and look under "My Products", then select upgrade to latest version for each one that you want to upgrade. Your selected v14 licenses will appear in Waves Central, and you will need to download and activate the new plugins from there.
  3. WUP required!!! Nope!!! Those bug fixes should be free. I apparently bought defective plugins... I understand if they want to charge for new features & improvements, etc. But charging for bug fixes, yikes!!! ?
  4. Did you try clicking the "Repair" button in Waves Central settings before nuking everything? "Repair function inventories the Waves products on your computer and replaces all of them with the most current version."
  5. Did you go that route, or just hearsay...?
  6. Run the legacy Cakewalk Command Center. All of your SONAR Platinum software components are available to be downloaded and installed from there. No SN or auth codes required. The CCC will handle the activations for you. Ensure that you have the Cakewalk by BandLab plugin scan path set to where you have the synths installed.
  7. Is your keyboard working at all in Cakewalk? Is your keyboard assigned to the MIDI input of your track? Is the input echo enabled on your track? Ober works great here!
  8. I may have to demo this Novum thingy! There is a rather long, and enthusiastic thread over at VI-Control containing a discussion with the developer, Peter V of Dawesome. https://vi-control.net/community/threads/the-dawesome-thread-novum-available.111744/page-32
  9. It was included when I got it. But I was a late adopter, so it was likely already added. All current online references that still list the features for 4.0 include Nectar 3 Plus. Internet Archive: May 2021 http://web.archive.org/web/20210511051821/https://www.izotope.com/en/shop/music-production-suite-4.html
  10. I'm pretty, pretty sure that Nectar3 Plus was already included in MPS 4.0.
  11. Interesting question. Sounds like a job for a CAL script. I have nothing specific in mind, but perhaps somebody has one?
  12. You are right! I had missed that the main difference between MPS 4 > 5 upgrade and the Everything Bundle upgrade is that you need to already own Post Production Suite, RX 9 Advanced, or the Everything Bundle in order to upgrade to Everything for the sale price. I have most of that already in MPS 4.1, but only have RX 9 Standard, which doesn't qualify me for the Everything upgrade.
  13. MPS 4 to MPS 4.1 included this: RX 9 Standard (upgrade from RX 8 Standard) Melodyne 5 essential Groove 3 (1 Year pass) NIMBUS (extra license #) R4 (extra license #)
  14. This looks interesting! How big is the download?
  15. The latest Amplitube plugin loads into a track in about 5 seconds here. Seems solid! i5-9600K, with 16GB DDR4 memory and SSD (SATA 2.5") disk. CPU usage seems reasonable!
  16. This is actually not an issue with any specific multis. Unfortunately it is a bug in Syntronik 2. Only the first instrument slot responds to aftertouch. Confirmed with the latest Syntronik 2 update. If you create the same layers in SampleTank 4 with Syntronik 2 instruments, the aftertouch works with any slot. Not a showstopper for me, but just fyi...
  17. Not seeing the scanner remain open here. I have Waves Scheps Omni Channel, and always see the Waves shells scanned every time Cakewalk launches, but the scanner always closes after the scan. You may need to run a repair on your Waves install. Cakewalk 2022.06 latest release running on Windows 10 Pro 21H2, with Waves Central 13.1.4 and Scheps v12.0.0.
  18. I have found that to be an issue with other search terms that are related to more a modern context. Search engine optimization... SMH.
  19. Go easy on the beater, Ward...
  20. Modular is not really a hassle. It's an open ended world for sound design, if that's your thing. I first checked out Softube Modular, VCV Rack, & Voltage Modular, then decided that the price point for Voltage was the ticket for me. The Core package comes with tons of modules and presets, so no need to spend another dime until you exhaust the included possibilities. Then there are some inexpensive add-on bundles to expand your imagination with!
  21. I've often wondered about that on Window 10. I get an alert when non-signed binaries are used, and IK always triggers that. But the good news is that they pass the Virus Total scan...
  22. It's probably fine for someone that just wants to check out modular in an easy to use package. Without the risk of entering a money pit! ?
