  1. 254 comp sounds great. In fact, that and the T eq by Lindell are my fav plug-ins from PA.
  2. @TheSteven No you can't install a midi pack or EXP for EZD without having EZD installed.
  3. Wonder what difference is between these new ones and the old Latin Percussion?
  4. @ZokZTM @Craig Fowler Demo'd the RMX16 and really didn't like it to much. I mean it was lush, it was rich, just almost like too much. And the only good setting I found was a short room type setting that really gave it some airy space. Then seeing Zok's suggestion I will have to give that a try. I put RMX16, Capital Chambers, and Oceanway head to head with Waves Abbey Road Plates. I liked AR Plates the best (for what I was going for on that vocal) over RMX16 and Oceanway, but Capital Chambers really sounded nice! Ocenway I was really looking forward to re-micing the vocals. But to be honest, it just sounded like I put a lite blanket over the vocal. So I tried IK Sunset Studio and it wasn't much better. With out either the vocal was dry, but definitely had more focus and clarity. I recorded that vocal recently with the API Vision console strip. So I am not sure if the room reflections are more pronounced now or what. I got to dig into this some more. But I have decided that Capital Chambers is a winner!! Gonna get that one for sure.
  5. Yes. I got those and the La2a. So I am good on comps for now. More channel strips would give me more variety when recording. And my experience so far with the Unison technology is something I want to dig into more as far as large console emulations. What do you suggest Zo?
  6. Agreed!! Good try. Gotta start somewhere!! LOL
  7. I have that one, and I am getting the API Vision. I like the Neve better! But that API has very nice character too. Still thinking about the Avalon channel strip. My third is the AMS RMX16 Reverb. Trying to decide if I want the ones I got picked or just go for all the most expensive. Think I am going with the ones I will use in the near future. I am mostly recording right now so it will be that guiding me.
  8. That could be the way I go. Not sure. Thanks Zok, going to read that right now.
  9. The plugins I am picking are more than $100. Two are $149, and the other two will be that much or more. Looking at two right now that are $169 and over. With the choices I make it could save me anywhere between $150 to $200.
  10. I looked at that one too!! I have almost all my picks selected. I am on the fence about the Helios 69. I want to demo it first. I demo'd the API Vision and picked it, I also demo'd Capital Chambers and Oceanway Studio (leaning towards the Oceanway), the last one I want to demo is the Helios. From what I read and heard in the demo's, along with recommendations from some forum members, I know I would be happy with it. Just trying to get the most for my money with the 3+1 deal. If I select the Helios as a pick, then it's almost like I am giving up $50 - $70 in plugins because I can get the Helios for $99. The others I am looking at are $149 - $179. So I may get those and purchase the Helios on it's own, or wait for another sale.
  11. I have Thorn, and thought about Geist too. IDK why I haven't grabbed it yet.
  12. When someone posts a quote and the word "Fixed" is in the reply, read the quote again. Something has been changed or Fixed.
  13. Fleer just dropped the mic!!
  14. I am going to get the 3 Custom Bundle. I get a free one with it!!
  15. Looking at the Neve 1084 and I may be wrong, but it doesn't look like it has the Unison tech. Am I seeing this wrong? Maybe those of you who are more experienced with UA plugins could tell, how can you tell for sure? On the plugin page the plugins that have Unison tech have a Unison badge by them, the Neve 1084 doesn't have one. And neither does the product page state that you can trk with it.
  16. I think I will pick up the Helios. The DFC is one of those plugins that I would not have given a second glance at. I may go ahead and grab that one too!! This ^^ is what really surprised me. The interaction with the "red knob" and the mic is something to experience!! I guess mine is still going on!! And loving it!! : )
  17. That's what I said to myself after using the Unison technology a few times!!
  18. Yes I have the Unison Apollo Twin. And man.. I never thought tracking with something like this would really be that different. You know, this is all just hype and BS... right? Man was I ever wrong on that! I love that Neve 1073. And was looking at that Helios 69. That's on my wish list. edit: thanks for the advice Larry!!
  19. Yeah, that's where I am now. I am telling myself... just one!!! But it's a fight between the BiaB Style Packs, the Melodyne 5 upgrade, or these!!
  20. Oh yeah I know! But you got some that I never would have thought about getting (Fender Deluxe comes to mind!). So what you would get would help steer me in a good direction. If you had to pick one, which would it be? : )
  21. Agree with Reid, the packs are worth it. Makes BiaB much easier to use. Because he's right about the quality of the styles, that makes a difference. Now be aware, you can make your own styles. And if your good you can make some quality styles to. But I am not that guy. I use their styles. I have one song that I use all the trks from BiaB. Sounds really good. Has a great feel too.
  22. Alright!! Been waiting for this. Which one would you get Larry? They offered me the new Neve 1084 for a intro price because I own Neve 1073. I really love and use the 1073, wondering if the 1084 would really be worth it, so I held off. Might try a SSL strip.
  23. My comment was meant to inform others that there is a lot of us running them without issue. Never really considered trouble shooting as a waste of time. I kinda like to do it and I get satisfaction when I do solve the issue. But that's just me. I know, I'm weird!! : ) That said, some Windows issues ain't worth the time!!
