  1. I have found that the recorder looper is a nice practice tool. While your playing around with presets and you come across a groove, record it, jam over it over and over on and on!! It has many more uses, but you can see what I mean.
  2. Actually, I went to a GC one day just to browse and came across a very pretty white Squire Strat with a maple neck. I played it through a Boogie Mini Recto head with a 1x12 cab with Celestion in it. Anyway, the GC salesman was trying to sell me the amp and cab, but I was so impressed with the Squire that I told him leave me alone, I may not buy the amp and cab, but I ain't leaving without the guitar! I ended up getting them all! When I got the guitar home I did what I normally do, put my strings on it and give it a good clean up. When I took the pickguard off, I was totally blown away that it had conductive shielding paint all on the inside!! Then I noticed that the pickups were Seymour Duncan single coil sized humbers!! I also noticed that the tremolo was a knock off of a Floyd Rose floating trem!! The pickguard was 5 layers, in a type of MOP swirl, definitely not the standard issue on a Squire. Then I got to looking at the paint, this was not a regular Fender white. More of a pearl color. I am even thinking they did some kind of fret work on it also because it is just so smooth!! So I concluded that somebody bought a Squire, fixed it up, then sold it to GC for whatever reason. Some salesman over there saw a Squire label on the headstock and placed a $200 price tag on it!! This thing plays like a dream!! Sounds fantastic!! It will never leave my possession I can tell you that!
  3. Wow.. that was a long time ago! Well let's try to look at this in a positive light... we've learned from you not to buy more than we need!!
  4. Thanks Tom. I didn't even try the Toontrack website. Worked like a charm!
  5. You were the one I was thinking of when I mentioned "Be aware of how to use GC!" Do you still have GC left?
  6. Tried to get these. But everytime I go to checkout, it empties my cart and tells me my cart is mt!!! Tried 3-4 times, I was logged in too. IDK. Will try later I guess.
  7. Good question. This is all I could find on IK FAQ: Custom Shop Gear Credits are the currency of the Custom Shop. They can be purchased either in the IK webstore or in the Custom Shop and used to pay up to $0.5 per credit (see more below). With the Gear Credits in your Custom Shop account, you can use those towards purchases of a-la-carte gear in the Custom Shop or towards Collections that appear in the Custom Shop. I have added the bold type to highlight what I think are the keys to using GC. They are not Gear Credits to be used to buy anything. They are Custom Shop GC. They can only be used in the CS, and if IK offers a new product in the CS, then you can use your GC to purchase it. But if IK doesn't offer it in the CS, you out of luck. If you want that new item that's not offered in the CS, and you have many GC in your CS account, your SOL. I have purchased stuff in CS using GC because I can get a discount buying them. But I don't buy much more than what I need.
  8. Have often thought of doing a kit over the years. With a quality neck (frets in and finished) it is a very desirable guitar. I bought one from a guy already made with a Performance neck, Floyd Rose Trem, Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio pickups, and had his friend that worked in a body shop paint it with metal flake car paint, (pin stripes and all!!). Great looking and playing guitar. I played it on stage for years and I would work that trem hard!! Looking back on it now I don't know how I didn't break the arm off the tremelo!! Neck never got loose, stayed in tune like you wouldn't believe. So a kit guitar, done right, is a keeper. I still have that guitar!
  9. I had to log in, go to My Products page and then the message came up saying I was getting the free JP. You can use JP to buy Gear Credits. And the more GC you buy at once, the cheaper it is. IOW, 25 GC will cost $24.99 - 7 JP= $17.99. Buy 1k GC will cost 549.99- 165JP=384.99. So you get 1k worth of GC for way less than half the cost. How you use the GC, and how you are allowed to use your GC, is another story (be aware of restrictions). But they give you a deal on GC if you want it. But I can understand why IK doesn't allow GC and JP to be combined.
  10. Wow!! You too!? I only thought that happened to Larry!!
  11. They seem to be working as expected. Thanks
  12. Yeah, they could more than likely use it
  13. Got one of these for the same price about a year ago. Works as expected.
  14. Yes, this is a great spring reverb. I never thought a spring reverb on the master buss would sound as good as this one does.
  15. That's what I gathered from you description. But if it works to check on excessive frequencies, that helps in the end.
  16. I will give this a try. Thanks.

I have though about getting one to play guitar on. Any thoughts on that use?
  18. I went many years playing live through a Boogie Mk IIB with no Reverb, or Graphic EQ. I finally got a Ibanez Flanger and and Analog Delay pedals and used them for years. About 6-7 yrs ago I started getting into more pedals. Now I got what I think are way too many. Not even gonna talk about my guitars... or amps!!
  19. Sorry to hear that you got the covid virus Marc. I had it back in July and it took me several weeks to get over it. At my age I was lucky it was only what they called a moderate case. It didn't feel moderate!! My biggest complaint with it was the fever and EXTREME tiredness. I slept a LOT! My wife and I had it at the same time so we just stayed home the whole time. Over 5 weeks... Take care and hang in there. If you got fever drink plenty of water.
  20. @Jesse Screed I heard Steven Stills on XM radio where he was playing some of the best blues I ever heard!! I mean he can flat out play!! Really didn't know that about him.
  21. What that is telling you is that you have not made any MIDI output selections. Not at my computer but look in Preferences/MIDI and see what's available to you. If your running Win10 you should at least have a midi playback synth show up. Choose that.
