Maximum PC has some articles in it that I will try to remember to look up for you. They have low, medium, and high priced gaming rigs you can build. I know you don't build, but that gives you a very good starting and ending point as references. For a good gaming pc you wanna go with at least a 1060 nVidia GPU. AMD GPU's are good too. I just don't know off hand what the equivalent model number would be. And Jim's advise above is spot on.

Yes that is much clearer to me now. So, if I bought the bundle with a LE version in it, I could not upgrade to the full version at an upgrade cost? I would have to pay full price? Still sounds like IK BS to me.

I have always respected Melda and their policies regarding upgrades. I am finding this hard to believe that it would screw the user this way. For a company that has at times bent over backwards for its customers, this is highly unusual.

So, if I understand what you wrote, if I have MTurboReverbLE, paid for, then upgrade that LE version to the full version (paid for) I will loose the full version license if I ever upgrade to a bundle that has MTurboReverbLE in it. If this is correct, this is even more stupid than IK upgrade policy (if you wanna call it that!)

Well not so fast. After I posted the above, I went to play with ST4 and three of Syntronik's libs were still locked. Went to IKPM and it shows those same three libs as installed and activated. If I open Syntronik stand alone, those same three libs are not there either. So, I bought them, d/l them (more than once), have them in my account, and IKPM says they are installed and activated, but yet I can't use them.

I d/l it, installed it, but did not have a chance to try it yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Well, it took forever!! I had to go to work this morning, was in a rush, so I couldn't come see if it was finished before I left this morning. But I gotta give it to 'em. IKPM finished the job!! It stuck with it and did what it was made to do. Install it without me being around.

I went and got the Syntronic Deluxe offer. That unlocked ALL my sound libraries for d/l. Since I already have all of them, and have them installed, I never bothered with what IKPM was saying. But.... I took this opportunity to see what the heck, let's see how long IKPM will take d/l and installing all of ST4MAX sounds. I started around 3:00pm CST US. It's now almost 8:00pm and it's not even half way through! Out of 93 files it needs to d/l it's only on file #22. I do understand the amount needed to d/l, but this seems like it's taking a little long? Or is it just me!!?

But isn't creating profiles of stuff the whole idea behind the plugin? Maybe I am reading more into it than there is?

Agreed. On my regular monitor in my "studio" I have no problem reading any of the stuff on the UI. However, on my Surface Pro and my home PC, it's another story. Especially at night on my Surface when I have the screen brightness lower. IK can solve this issue with different UI themes, a light one, and the one they have now.

I agree with Ed. For my needs, ST4 is more than I could hope for. Never thought I would have this many quality sounds at my disposal. Like ED, I really like the organ sounds. Really nice. If you can get ST4 in one of the sales they have and you don't pay the full retail price you really can't go wrong with it.

I am a guitar player. When I went to see Steve Vai, I really didn't care what he played out of. He was great. When I went seen Eric Clapton and when he played "Wonderful Tonight" the hair stood up on the the back of my neck and my wife's neck, we didn't care what he played through. That said, my amps I play through are tube. I have played through a FX processor at one time. And would not be beyond me to play through my phone if it served my purpose. When I play for enjoyment, I prefer Boogie tube amps.
