Can't take this DAW seriously because I was using it when I was 12. Am I missing out?

That’s exactly why I’ve got it in the first place. :)

I still wish to have a much smoother workflow like Ableton has, to copy-paste, select and save plugins and racks so I could reuse particular stuff from old projects, but other than this… FL is a great DAW.

My favorite feature is when I’m clicking on a sample in Browser and I’m replace the sample in the channel while playing/previewing the song. Couldn’t find anything like that in other DAWs, and this feature saves me a lot of time when producing a song.

Another feature is that I can load fxp presets the same way. No other DAW can do this as fast as FL. Ableton won’t even list fxp/fxb files in browser.

I love lifetime free updates. And FL Cloud Plugins just gave me a serial for Ignition Keys.

These guys just keep on offering free updates and free new stuff.

Love the new welcome screen with the templates and chord progressions starter, and FL feels more snappy in Mac. ❤️

I wouldn't personally, but apart from Serum which was never discounted (apart from one or twice where a discount slipped through with resellers) I don't think I've ever paid full price for a synth. If I have it must be pretty rare!

Bought Serum and Sylenth1 at full price with a rent-to-own option. If a developer is not offering a rent-to-own plan, then I’m just waiting for the best deal of my life, till I get it or die. ?

I’m the stupid one who paid $ 40 on Massive, when a license was sold with $ 8-10 on KVR or KnobCloud. ? So yeah…  it goes like this.

    T-RackS 5 MAX v2 Grand Finale for $/€49.99!
    https://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?id=T-RackS5MAXFinale2024

Summer deals going lower than Black Friday. That’s more like it!

One question though: why is adding an Upgrade, if the deal is for the whole pack?

What if I want to sell all the others, or to gave it for free to someone? That doesn’t look right to me.

So, someone who doesn’t have any product would pay 50€ for T-Racks Max V2, while existing customers would get an upgrade key. That’s weird. Now I’m thinking to revert the transaction via PayPal and get the deal from JRR. The weird things of IKMultimedia. Lol.

Yes, their templates are very expensive. But good. Sometimes you can get it a little cheaper, like 20% off or so. Fun anecdote: I thought their template "1982" was stolen from Marvel83's "Atlantis". But it turned out to be the opposite. The template is older than the track from "Marvel83".

If you like template/project files, I've got a few recommendations for you:

WA Production has a lot of free FL Studio templates. You can convert them to Ableton Live with https://jukeblocks.io/convert/, which usually does a good job.

Also very good value is F9 Audio Trax series, currently up to 40% off in their summer sale. Electric Disco II for example, contains 5 templates for £20.65, plus 6 startup project, and 160+ Live Racks. Or if you're into synthwave, I recommend their Grid Trilogy Deluxe edition. No plugins needed. All instruments are multipsampled Ableton Live instruments, made with Sampler, converted to Simpler, so they work with any Ableton Live edition.

You can get some free Ableton Live templates every now and then if you subscribe to the https://dawpro.co newsletter. I got Vintage Culture and Saint Jhn - Roses for free.

Synth Ctrl often has good offers for Ableton Live templates. Like right now you can get all their 10 templates in a bundle for $19.99 with the code SUMMER01, so that's only $2 per template. I wish I had gotten them that cheap ? They require Serum though.

The user Alivelooping has templates for 6€ on wemakedancemusic.com and if you sign up to the newsletter, or search for coupon codes with a search engine, you can get 50% to 60% discounts. I got Alivelooping's templates for 2.40€ each. They're not bad. The structure is a little strange to me (some tracks have MIDI notes but really the tracks are routed to play MIDI notes from a different track) and they're all themed around the love of christ and such, which isn't that appealing to me as an atheist, but they sound great and they come with vocals, which you don't often have in template files.

Thanks man for showing the way! ❤️

I’ll check them out for sure!

My pleasure. If you're new to Ableton Live then maybe you don't know about the other Abletunes freebies yet?

    Foundation instruments: https://abletunes.com/free-ableton-packs-instruments-foundation

    Free projects and stuff:

    https://abletunes.com/search?type=0&bpm=0%3B300&tags[]=115&sort=1#

After downloading these you will get another txt resource with even more freebies. Thanks for sharing these!

These are HQ! I would get 2 of the packs, but man… 63€ is a lot of money. I could get, 6 full bundles (~10 sample packs per bundle) on WA Production: 1 + 1 (free each month) for 60€. If I could have a 50% discount code, I would get 2 packs. But 15% or even 20% off is too less for me to get them.

This month, I’ve doubled the money (120€) and preferred to get Melodyne instead. IMHO it’s better value for the money.

But still, if I would get 50% off right now on Abletunes, I would instantly get 2 packs. ?

  7. Sorry for reopening this old thread, but…

Did anyone got this and wants to sell/trade it?

I’m looking for Titan EDM Bundle 1 & 2 to complete my collection. :)

PM me if you have them please.

    Thanks!

Bapu didn't state any conditions to the free serial.

Don't be envious, is bad for your soul.

    You’re definitely right. Point taken.

I’ve seen a few videos about Melodyne and probably I’ll get the Editor edition. Hopefully they’ll do a rent-to-own option in the future in Splice or themselves. Definitely a good software to play with vocals without getting too much artifacts. ?

  9. Not cool man. Not cool.

I mean, I have a UAD Galaxy Tape serial on KVR to trade it with something else because I already have it with UAD Essentials.

But what I wanted to point out is that, usually you sell stuff when you don’t need the extra ones or when you don’t need the single ones you have. It’s not like you first sell stuff  you want to try it out. You first try it when you have the serials, then you sell it, if it’s one of the case above. And if you sold it before, probably you won’t need this one either.

This has to be the most lovely place for music producers and I’m so glad that someone pointed this out.
