    Was the cursor at the position marked in the timeline? No? Try going to the point you want to cut in the timeline and then try cutting, that's how it works...

    It installs a compiled help file (chm), no big deal

    With Cakewalk closed, rename aud.ini to aud.bak and let Cakewalk create a new one when you start it.

    Loaded it and it loaded in about a second on an i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz laptop with 8gb ram.

    Discord desktop didn’t wreak any havoc on my computer and uninstalled very easily, perhaps you had/have a virus and wasn’t aware of it.

    Did you try emptying the picture cache? It may be full.

    Freeze is a reversible bounce, temporary or permanent based on if you unfreeze it or not.
