Yep - FIRST30. Sorry, its at the top of the Spitfire site - forgot to mention that.
-
Not sure if anyone's seen this but I've been a Spitfire customer for a while and the 30% off worked for my...6th order. Ends this evening, but they're in London so their " this evening" might be your afternoon - or maybe it's already tomorrow where you live! https://www.spitfireaudio.com/shop/

Anyone using this or have experience with the unit? I'll have to update my TASCAM US 122 MkII at some point but not sure if this would be an upgrade in features or sound/preamps.

IK Multimedia Introduces MODO DRUM - Modeled Drums
Marc Cormier replied to Reid Rosefelt's topic in Deals
When do you think this will show up in the MAX bundle? I have enough Jam points to get this down to $150 so if I was going to do it, it would be now vs. waiting a year for it to go on sale, etc. -
IK Multimedia Introduces MODO DRUM - Modeled Drums

Any idea how long it will be "pre-order"? Can't believe I'm considering this, what with BFD3, SD3, and all. I mean, we have promotional videos - that's all - and yet, my Jam Points are at the ready. No way I would jump at this at full price. -
8Dio Insolidus 48hrs Flash Sale - $198 (reg $598)
Marc Cormier replied to Amicus717's topic in Deals
I played with it last night. It's gorgeous. Granted, I've not used a lot of choir libraries outside of what comes with Symphobia, but this is entirely different. The legatos are lovely and the phrase builder is really cool, too. The arc swell patches are inspirational. I can't give you an experienced, professional take on the library but the sounds are chillingly good. I have been waiting for this since the Lacrimosa/Requiem deal a few weeks back. Not the $98/$149 bargain those were but this style and sound are what I've been dying to put into a project with the likes of Albion Tundra. Just figgers I had to leave town for work this weekend. -

8Dio Lacrimosa and Requiem Professional bundle $148
Marc Cormier replied to Marc Cormier's topic in Deals
Yup. I'm holding out for Silka or Insolidus. Someday. They had Lacrimosa on sale for $98 in Feb or March, but the bundle is tough to pass up. As always, there's a good deal of commentary on VI Control . -

25% off at www.ToneBoosters.com with coupon TB_SPRING_2019

These plugins never go on sale unless you have one already and get a discount email. I love them - extremely flexible, great UIs, and resizeable. Barricade is probably their best known plugin but all the V4 versions are keepers. Great prices already but I'll get the rest with this sale. -
Just to add a few observations coming from TH1 all the way to TH-U: As far as inspiring goes, I find the amp tweaking to be very useful, moreso on some amps vs. others but on most. Adds a lot of variation to a single amp head. The new IR loader is MUCH easier to use. I prefer the old UI - easier on the eyes but I hear there will be updates. The value of the Rig Player is TBD. I think they need more modules out there to show the range of possibilities. The controls don't seem to have as much an effect on overall sound as I expected but I probably haven't played with it enough. New amps - very nice additions, both clean and high gain. Their Bugera is brutal!!! I do like some of the Italian amps that I would never have heard of if they weren't in TH-U. I worked with Red at Overloud to translate their splash pages for TH-U. If the rest of the Overloud crew are as professional and accommodating as he is, I definitely will support them in the future. The only reason it wasn't a no-brainer deal for me is that TH3 is already so flipping good. Glad I updated anyway but YMMV.

Wow. I like this update more than 4.0 - lots of great functional updates (plugin manager, waveform improvements, etc.). I was concerned that it was all things EDM from here on out, but there's a number of big improvements for instrument recording, CPU efficiency, etc. in addition to the MIDI updates.

I was thinking along those lines as well. The articulations are equally unique in both. I don't have a solo strings collection besides a couple of Fluffy Audio instruments so I hope to use at least some of the louder solo string patches in British Drama Toolkit with the softer edge in Albion V. I really want to take the dive with Albion One for a more traditional orchestral tool but find myself going back to the Tundra "sound" more often than not. Seems like BDT is a natural progression for me.
-
Matthew, have you tried mixing British Drama Toolkit with Albion V? I'm considering BDT for that reason but not sure if it will work. It seems to be a good deal at the Wish List price.

Flash Sale on Sound Aesthetics Sampling (Over)
Marc Cormier replied to Reid Rosefelt's topic in Deals
Do these self-destruct after your 15 uses??? -
I agree with mibby. Got the same two issues and one of them had a CM version of Mercuriall's U530 that, while limited in cab options, is one of the best ENGL emulations I've heard. The three issues I bought added a bit of bloat to my download folder, but I just hand-picked the instruments and effects that interested me and I deleted the rest. Thanks for posting, Larry. This is a great deal.

61% Off: Mastering Suite by ACON Digital
Marc Cormier replied to Audio Plugin Deals's topic in Deals
Thanks for the feedback on Izotope. I was SO close to getting O8N2 ($200 offer via email) but I missed the sale. I did pick up Neutron 2 for a great price though, and have been noodling around with it. I've been using the Softube and NI plugs in Komplete 10U but Neutron (and Acon from the looks of it) give more visual tools to help ID masking and the like. -

How does this compare to Ozone or Neutron? Looks like it is suitable for mixing and mastering. Looks like there are a lot of similarities both visually and functionally. -

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I have enough trouble carving out time and attention to record music so I don't need policies like this to get in the way.- 33 replies

Marc Cormier replied to Hidden Symmetry's topic in Deals
I have no experience with VSL or this package, but I'm looking for an orchestral VST. Granted this hasn't been released yet, do you have a sense for how this might compare (based on size, comprehensiveness, etc.) to Albion One?- 33 replies

Did you see-the-saw??? http://www.cmusic.pro/product-cat/folk-instruments/small-saw/ I WILL find a place to use this.
-
Good eyes, Piotr! Thanks for this heads-up. BFD3 is also stopping support for Windows 7 in future updates, so at some point this may be a reason to update.

Been waiting for some time now. Based on the S-Gear forum comments, it could be in a couple of months I suppose. ?
