  1. Dammit. I resisted. Now its really futile.
  2. Bueller? Sticking with BFD3 for the same reasons, Zip. Haven't heard a reason to move at this point but always interested to hear other's opinions.
  3. Ah. Kurre, way deeper than I was looking at it - thanks for the details!
  4. Sooo, I got a message that read: "Could not reach server. Please check your internet connection." Gabe sent me this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3140245/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-default-secure-protocols-in-wi which fixed the install. Now I'm having trouble getting the routing configured. There was no indication anyone was having trouble installing so I simply commented on the fact that I was getting great service, too; I didn't even mention what the problem was to begin with - it wasn't the point of the post. No need to be grumpy.
  5. I was having an issue getting this to work with Windows 7 and Gabe responded to my email within a couple of hours. Great service!
  6. Picked up Obelisk for $4 and Phoenix for $10. I'll second the "favorites" comment - there's a ton you can do with Phoenix, especially once you lift the effects hood.
  7. I thought you were just making your point, Fleer!!!! Or just goading Peter...
  8. iZotope Music Production Suite 2.1 upgrade from Neutron 2. Loving the new features and all that i didn't have with Ozone Elements. Still a bit CPU heavy at times but seems more efficient than before.
  9. No, but it's a much cheaper mountain of nuts today, vs. waiting for a (maybe) relatively cheaper mountain of nuts months later. Honestly, for the price (and for what I paid for Neutron 2 Advanced second-hand), I'd do it again. And again. In fact, this will replace a mountain of cheap (formerly expensive) plugins I paid peanuts for in the last year. Totally get your point, though. The Waves $29 phenomenon is probably just one of the tipping points (along with the movement to subscription) we get to witness these days.
  10. Yep - so far I love it. Haven't even gotten past Ozone and Neutron, but I'm really tempted to use a sick day to help speed things up!
  11. Jumped on the upgrade from Neutron Advanced 2 for $125. I see Neutron loading faster, lower CPU hit, and a few new bells & whistles. Plus all the other goodness in MPS. I swear I think it sounds better than Neutron 2, but I'll make myself believe ANYTHING after hitting the Pay Now button. But I think it's for real this time.
  12. Best Service deal: $138 *** Music Production Suite Crossgrade for registered users from at least one of the following Products: Neutron Advanced Ozone Advanced O8N2 Surround/3D Reverb Bundles (including Exponential Audio Everything Bundle) I'm still on Neutron 2 Advanced - it SOUNDS like this would work. www.bestservice.com/deals/izotope_music_production_sale.html EDIT: looks like this is 2.0 - 2.1 probably means Neutron 3, amiright?
  13. Thanks a ton, Ryan! I appreciate the details.
  14. We should plan on a Cake contingent - I'll be there, too! Peter, not sure if you saw my post about MODO drum, but if there's any details you can provide, I'd appreciate it. Now, back to our regularly scheduled blackout discussion...
  15. I was in Utrecht all last week and only felt a slight dampening of the gravitational pull...but that might have been GDPR at work. Save yourself, Fleer, whilst Lars' power is out!!!
  16. They did do a one-off sale called "Apex" last year which i used to score Albion Tundra at half price; it was the only product on sale. Not sure I've seen that since.
  17. This explains the gravitational force exerted on my wallet at peak posting times...you're two miles away.
  18. Larry, I'm in Livonia and we're still dealing with brownouts...but still got SOME juice. Gonna be cooler today. Maybe we should ask Bandlab to donate a generator to keep the forum humming!
  19. So I have a ton of questions about MODO Drum, as many probably still do. Asking a few here in case anyone has heard the answers (or if Peter wants to fill in gaps): Will I be able to use my 3rd party midi files inside the platform (ie: I can organize MIDI files a la SD3 or BFD3) using their directory structure and will there be drum maps to accommodate? Will IK be releasing new grooves in the future for MODO Drum? On the Kits & Grooves page for MODO Drum, there is an image that shows ride cymbal choices of Ride 20" IK, Ride 22" IK, Ride 24" IK, Ride 20" Vintage, Ride 22" Vintage. Ride 24" Vintage, Ride 20" Elegance, and Ride 22" Elegance. That's 2-3 ride cymbals per set. In their instrument list however, it states that there are 3 cymbal sets that include one ride cymbal each. Any idea which setup is the real one? Are the parameters for the 8 convolution-based room reverbs editable? Do any of the on-board effects include presets? I need another drum VST like I need another nostril, but I'm interested nonetheless if it is flexible enough.
  20. Hey, Mesh. I went back and forth with whether to upgrade and i'm glad I did. There seems to be more sonic glue in these profiles over and above what I get using stock presets and adding my own IRs which were very good to begin with. Just an opinion, for sure. I'm embarrassed at how many amp sims I've chased; variety is good, no question, but dam*. ZincT, the real meat of the libraries is found not in the presets themselves but by clicking on the patch name in the amp (kemper?) head. There's over 240 of them for the Friedman amp alone and can take some time to sift through. Based on them changing amps, stomp boxes, cabs, etc. for each set up, there's a ton of variety for anyone. My only gripe is that you can't change the settings on any of the outside hardware independently; mics and pedals come baked in to each rig. Having said that, there are 240 setups....
  21. I went for both of these expansions and am not disappointed. I don't know if I really need anything else in the amp sim category but still holding out hope for a new Scuffham release this summer.
  22. Thanks for the response, John - glad I asked!!!
  23. Yeah, I've been saving up for LCO since it was released earlier this year. This year, it was going to be K11U upgrade to K12CE, but LCO came along. They've released some really nice instruments via their LAB program, so I'm all set for sound-type stuff for the year. Dang, forgot about MODODRUM.
  24. No worries, Larry. Picked up London Contemporary Orchestra Evolutions for $209. Looking for Ambient inspiration? Look no further.
