  1. Wow. I like this update more than 4.0 - lots of great functional updates (plugin manager, waveform improvements, etc.). I was concerned that it was all things EDM from here on out, but there's a number of big improvements for instrument recording, CPU efficiency, etc. in addition to the MIDI updates.
  2. I was thinking along those lines as well. The articulations are equally unique in both. I don't have a solo strings collection besides a couple of Fluffy Audio instruments so I hope to use at least some of the louder solo string patches in British Drama Toolkit with the softer edge in Albion V. I really want to take the dive with Albion One for a more traditional orchestral tool but find myself going back to the Tundra "sound" more often than not. Seems like BDT is a natural progression for me.
  3. Matthew, have you tried mixing British Drama Toolkit with Albion V? I'm considering BDT for that reason but not sure if it will work. It seems to be a good deal at the Wish List price.
  4. Do these self-destruct after your 15 uses???
  5. I agree with mibby. Got the same two issues and one of them had a CM version of Mercuriall's U530 that, while limited in cab options, is one of the best ENGL emulations I've heard. The three issues I bought added a bit of bloat to my download folder, but I just hand-picked the instruments and effects that interested me and I deleted the rest. Thanks for posting, Larry. This is a great deal.
  6. Thanks for the feedback on Izotope. I was SO close to getting O8N2 ($200 offer via email) but I missed the sale. I did pick up Neutron 2 for a great price though, and have been noodling around with it. I've been using the Softube and NI plugs in Komplete 10U but Neutron (and Acon from the looks of it) give more visual tools to help ID masking and the like.
  7. How does this compare to Ozone or Neutron? Looks like it is suitable for mixing and mastering. Looks like there are a lot of similarities both visually and functionally.
  8. Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I have enough trouble carving out time and attention to record music so I don't need policies like this to get in the way.
  9. I have no experience with VSL or this package, but I'm looking for an orchestral VST. Granted this hasn't been released yet, do you have a sense for how this might compare (based on size, comprehensiveness, etc.) to Albion One?
  10. Did you see-the-saw??? http://www.cmusic.pro/product-cat/folk-instruments/small-saw/ I WILL find a place to use this.
  11. Good eyes, Piotr! Thanks for this heads-up. BFD3 is also stopping support for Windows 7 in future updates, so at some point this may be a reason to update.
  12. Been waiting for some time now. Based on the S-Gear forum comments, it could be in a couple of months I suppose. ?
  13. I feel the same way - just bought in December. What I really wanted for Christmas was Scuffham 3.0 with just a couple more amps, some pedals, and an updated UI. Call me done at that point.
  14. Hopefully the "redesigned" UI addresses some of the sluggishness. Not sure I'm ready to dive into this but it looks interesting. Got a good deal on the Pro package around the holidays so just maybe... https://www.positivegrid.com/bias-fx2-preorder/
