Overloud We went CRAZY! Another Free Plug-in + Reverb Library
marcL replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Do you have to authorize the FREE REmatrix Player? I am irritated on their site! -
Yes, I understand your argumets. But are Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Pro Tools really more professional than others? Nowadays, if someone is dominating the market in a certain area, this does definitely not mean that their product is best, is professional! IMHO those 4 companies are technically not professional at all (and one could list a lot of reasons why)! Thus I think your wording has been quite provocative! ?
-
What a lordly statement! ? Sorry, that I don't agree! E.g. OpenOffice was really advanced with their file format (much earlier than MS) that allowed to make program-created documents! I clearly remember the trouble when we tried to create MS documents in the IT of a very large company! At that time we would have loved the professional design of OpenOffice compared to the Microsoft patchwork! ?

Windows is definitely enough Microsoft for me! ? I like to use OpenOffice, it satisfies all my requirements.

Up to 84% off iZotope Ozone 11 and Music Production 6 introductory sale,

By the way, is it common that you get new keys for the Exponential Audio reverbs and Melodyne Essentials when you upgrade MPS? Or is this only the advantage if you buy the upgrade externally (from JRR instead of iZotope)? -

Just purchase the upgrade to MPS 6 on JRRshop for $41.16 (with code GROUP)! You will get a MPS 6 serial that you can enter in the Product Portal of iZotope! -

If you go to the site "getmylicense.ca' link" and enter your name/email, then you will get the "real" six serial numbers! -

You just have to do this with their Product Portal, that works! And as soon I have installed it on my laptop it appears on my products page. -

Before I saw the deal on JRRshop ($41.16) I was on the iZotope site and the update price for MPS 5 to 6 was 253.33 EUR for me!!!! Crazy! -

The upgrade from MPS5 is $41.16 on JRRshop (with code GROUP! much better than loyalty offer): https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-music-production-suite-upgrade-mps-4 -
I am a bit jealous if I see the prices you paid! I got it for $40.99 at EveryPlugin (thanks to @cclarry, by the way it's still available for that). But this plugin is worth it in any case, it's simply great! The best channel strip that I ever have bought! I could have saved a lot of money if I had passed on the compressors and so on that it replaces! ?

I hope "Wasted Space" does not mean the space it takes on the disk! ?

I guess also that it is only for activation, but as you said it maybe for each 6 months. My music computers are usually offline (one is 100m away from the net) and I don't like to break this rule all the time! I already have to handle some exceptions and that's enough. There is a lot of pain with installers and permanent updates, I don't need another job doing cumbersome authorization that jeopardizes system stability by being online (Windows updates! I know you can pause, but this does not always work). The other thing that bothers me is that the statements about Cakewalk always change! Once they said that you can use CbB all the time (including offline auth) and now it is suddenly restricted to this latest, forced version. How can we be sure that we are able to use this one in some years?
-
AFAIK they said once that you will be able to use this final version as long as you want. But if I consider the reality that I have seen with Cakewalk, then I know that you never can be sure what will happen in the future! Especially whether you will be able to install CbB on a new PC again when you have to exchange your computer. Also the half year re-authorization has raised my distrust ever since and it seems with good cause!
-
The word "currently" maybe important for me in conjunction with the upper statement! If there would be no offline activation, then I will be out (hope that Sonar Platinum still will work in this case and in any case I have R....),

Universal Audio 1176 Classic Limiter Collection Super Flash Deal
marcL replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
IMO the download/installation with UA Connect is ridiculous if I look at the resulting files installed (e.g. with PolyMAX). Especially I don't understand that there are no installation options to choose and I don't like the lack of transparency of their process. Also using iLok authorization I don't see the requirement to do some additional foggy stuff in this area, everything could be done in the iLok Manager itself as usual. No meanders are required! Also never before I had to enter my iLok password for a plugin installation and it never happened to me that I had a prompt to allow web-access during plugin scanning. It seems to be a very shady company regarding their software (oops this will cause comments I guess)! And it never happened to me that my iLok was unlinked of my system, because I forgot first to put the authorization on it (happened with UA Connect!!!). All in all I am convinced that I will not buy their stuff, it does not matter how good the deal will be, but YMMV! Luckily there are enough good products to a fair price on the market that can be installed/authorized more easily! -
^Exactly that! There is not one plugin in the list (I don't have) that I would pay $30 plus 25% tax for! And additionally they always want you to force to buy two! The last time I spend my money more on other companies than PA!

Oddness with Plugin Boutique account (serial numbers)

In July 2021 MAutoAlign was £17.49 in Plugin Boutique. That was a great deal IMHO (that's why I snapped it)! -

Why are they called "Mixing Night Audio"? They should be called "Toon Audio" instead! ?
-
In the first moment I missed also that not everything is included. Luckily I had noticed it before I purchased! ? But still I think it is a great deal! One thing that has been important for me: Now I have the latest version of the Blue Tubes that support mouse wheel on the controls! ? The version that we got with Sonar Platinum did not support this and it was not updatable! Now all of their plugins except the Analog Signature Pack support mouse wheel.
