Ross, Had listened to your solo version, which I thought was good, but was waiting for your collaboration to comment. The duet version is really superb, your voices blend well and the harmonies are excellent. Well done. Regards

Not comparing the mixes side by side but maybe this one is a bit punchier and maybe a bit more low-mids (thicker/fuller) than the previous mix. Just going by memory which ain't that good anymore:) Sounds good. Regards

Jeff, Great work, a lot to be entertained by in this song, you have a lot of ideas in there. Super enjoyable listen(s):) Regards

Bat, Nice track full or power and interest. Also maybe a masterclass in the importance of mixing up your guitars and amps to create a better overall blend. I admit I often use the same guitar/amp for multiple parts and it really affects the overall production in a negative way. Great work, super listen and when I need a boost of energy will revisit the F1 Trilogy often. Regards

Sounds good, a little like a Disney production. Personally not a fan of choirs or choral music in general but did enjoy this so it must be good:) Regards

No doubt Benni was quite happy with the music and performance of his words. As a listener one can imagine a lifetime of memories in 4:21. Great work. Regards

Nice work, super suspenseful and nice use of risers and sound effects without going over the top in part one. The 2nd half is a nice continuation and suggests maybe partial resolution or a protagonist moving toward some conclusion. Nice build up. For some reason the 2nd part reminds me of Time by Pink Floyd. Cool stuff, you did a really good job. Regards

Pretty Good song and production:) Surprisingly didn't seem like a 6+ minute song. Very well done and I like how you changed things up throughout to keep it interesting. The guitar with the envelope effect on it at the end fits well with other instruments you have in there. Regards
-
Nice one Rik, looks like your testing was successful:) Cool Jam. Regards

Dean- Thanks for the listen, very much appreciated. Regards

Very good, enjoyed this very much. If they had a Sons of the Pioneers VST for backing vocals it would sound just like the old cowboy movies:) Regards
-
Very solid pop song, sounds to me like a little of Bread meets Steely Dan. Very cool arrangement and instrumentation. Regards

Good song, very upbeat and well produced. This song would fit nicely on my 70's Playlist, which is also my favorite playlist:) Might boost the horns a bit, you might add a bit of chamber or room verb with a little compression to the horn parts. That would sound good. Stellar production. Regards

Larry, Cool track, enjoyed the song. I might add some mid-high EQ boost and maybe widen the Stereo image a bit but otherwise a good mix. Regards

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. So easy to get distracted with the technology/engineering which takes the vibe and the fun out of it. The Strymon looks very tempting, have found some good videos on how to dial in sounds. Super powerful unit and sounds great.. Regards

Thanks very much for the listen Make, much appreciated. Andy- Thanks for the listen and comment. This mix took a different approach by mixing Vocals, piano, bass and drums first. Normally I was doing vocals last but tried a different approach so the strings, guitars (other than guitar solo) took more of a backseat to these main items. Since it is a fairly busy song it was important to keep supporting elements in the background. I have a bad habit of pushing some supporting elements I think are cool out front, however, it can be distracting for the listener if things don't stay balanced. Always learning:) Regards

Jeff, Nice piece, definitely prefer the updated version. I also like that you kept a natural room ambience and didn't go to far with reverb. Sounds really good and well played. Regards

Bat- Super high-octane track and well played. You have definitely captured the excitement of F1 racing in your trilogy. Huge props. Regards

Thanks Wookiee- appreciate the listen and comment. Nigel - Appreciate it, the song was a lot of fun to do. Treated it basically like 3 separate song and a reprise when putting it together so that made is easier. Thanks Steve, appreciate the listen and comment. The "contains samples or splices" is a new checkbox on SoundClick. I ticked it because the song contains sample libraries. All the strings and woodwinds are EW Opus libraries as are BGV's at the end which are EW Hollywood Singers. Drums are all Superior Drummer 3. The only live parts played by us are bass, rhythm guitars (except Steel Guitar), piano (Alicia's Keys), guitar solo and Lead Vocals. Regards

Rik Thanks very much for the listen, appreciate it. I miss the good ole days on the old forum, and a lot never made it over here to the new one. Jack Thanks very, appreciate it. Regards

Ross, Nice cover, really well done. Regards -
Ross - Thanks very much for the listen. So many people covered it over the years but seems so long ago. Great fun to work on this classic. Thanks very much for the listen. I agree Geno did a great job on the vocals. Regards

Ross-Nice work. Was thinking, when is Steve Stevens going to come in, then 2:20 mark came and there he was. Lot of good stuff going on in the track, I like how you built the momentum and then went lighter at the end. Really well executed. Regards

Mark, Good job on this. Tom's Diner was never a song I particularly liked but I do like your rendition of it. Vocals really make it shine. Regards
-
Thanks Larry, yes Geno killed the guitar solo, never get tired of hearing it. Fortunately for the fast part, and particularly the fills, Superior Drummer 3 Tap to find is quite useful. I usually start with the drums using a guitar or piano guide track to get the drums and bass right because I feel if the good rhythm section foundation is there it will influence the rest of the parts in a positive manner. Thanks for the listen and comment. Regards
