OK ,  I'm calling this one done .   Made some mix changes and @garybrun took care of the mastering for me.

Great groove on this. I Really liked the falsetto vocals. You really sang a nice round and smooth performance.  I thought the low end in the song was perfect.  Enjoyed it ..     mark

Rex , this was absolutely Beautiful. 

The first listen was just with laptop speakers . I brought my studio headphones in and think it was around 1:29 when the 2nd tear fell.  Not many songs have grabbed me like this one did.   I don't see how you could improve it any .

@Mark Morgon-Shaw , appreciate it Mark.  I'm Not satisfied with the vocals either. I sounded pretty unsure of the lyrics and phrasing. I've decided to completely re record All of the vocals. It's been pounding rain here and it's too noisy to use a mic. I'll probably get it done in a few days. I deleted the tracks and quickly hit "save" and cleaned my audio folder.      No choice now .   Thanks ..   mark

@bjornpdx , Thank You. I Really struggled with the simple main guitar part. I had to swap to a nylon strung guitar to get it done and then did a lot of copy and paste.  I think I listened to every version of the song before starting . Thats including all the covers. Apparently Luke Combs (country singer) covered it recently. Get any extra time check out him and Tracy Chapman doing a duet of it at the Grammys. Killer performance and it gave me the confidence to try the male vox parts. I think I got too twangy but the only way I could try and cover both of the vocals.  😁

This looks like a "feature request" to me . It seems appropriate , and the logical way to be done .   Thanks ..

Is there a way to configure the control bar module containing the "mute/solo/fx" etc.. to include bus mutes as it does for tracks ?

This caught me offguard (again) this morning with an offscreen effects bus being muted. With the ability to show or hide the bus pane (or if there are just too many busses to keep visible) the module should still show and be able to control the muted state of the bus(s).

The dropdown arrow on your workspace module will show the option to create a new workspace or save a workspace. Be sure "load workspace at project start" is also checked.

Will it "freeze" correctly?

I'd give 1024 buffer setting a shot until you find the culprit.

Sound Click.  A little harder to navigate but worth the effort. They also let you replace your wav file without having to go thru everything again. Handy for a WIP. They also stream at a higher bit rate than Soundcloud.            

Looks like your 1st screenshot was with an audio track selected. The 2nd one looks like a midi track.  There is a selection at the bottom where you can bring the audio screen back in focus. (if you can see it) I think it's a down arrow and "midi" is probably showing up now where your master was before.

@T Boog , Thanks for the comment. Yep ,  at my age my voice is pretty weathered , but I do adjust it depending on the song I'm doing. I Really enjoy playing mandolin , but honestly I know hardly "anything" about correctly playing one. The Only time I pick one up is when I'm recording a song that could use one.  I'm editing now and will look very closely at what I recorded and look for spots I can improve.    Thanx

@Ray T , Thanks for the listen and suggestion. I'm trying out some different things on the reverb. I'm not quite happy with it either. I keep getting a slapback sound when I boost it and don't like that. I think I need a Long predelay with the right reverb.   Thank You , a remix and better master is in the works ..           mark

Hello , I'm finishing up a song we used to play in my acoustic band. It's a lot harder now being by myself to keep the energy up. I think it's pretty close but , really wondering about the bottom end and the vocal levels. I fought the break with several guitars and cello. I Finally picked up my dusty neglected mandolin and felt better.

Very Nice !   She has a Great voice and knows how to use it.  I thought the performance as well as the mix/master were both Top shelf.   I do think it was Very unusual and risky , but Creative to slow the tempo at the choruses..  I Liked it.

Fantastic Creative production !      Earbud listen so .. I won't even attempt to give any mix suggestions. Vox didn't seem to hot to me though.

SubVibe , I Love how "immersive" this mix is !  I fell like I'm "In it" instead of listening from the outside. Great intro and Really liked the fade out. The little break part around 0:54 was Very nice and the song flowed into it Perfectly. Very impressive Mix/Master.        Loved it ..   mark

@treesha I still have not found the "clips follow selection" screen. I've looked in DAW preferences and on the melodyne screen. Maybe it isn't available to me , only using the "essentials" version ..   ?

Try turning on the option for clips following selection. I posted a screenshot here.

   (The screenshot link didn't follow the paste )  I also read that clicking the orange Blob icon while in the Melodyne screen helps if the "clips follow selection" is set.          mark

@treesha , I've been concentrating so hard to find the blobs , I never looked up to the top of the Melodyne page to actually see where It is on the timeline. This still doesn't explain why the notes instantly show up when I hit "play" on occasion. I had also not seen this in Melodyne 4.     mark

PS.     Hope you are doing well , been waiting for a new song from you ..
