  1. Screen size and resolution is also worth conidering. I've got CbB on Asus with a fairly small screen. I just use it for playing around when I'm away from my DAW PC . (and for offline activation). Lots of the CbB controls can't be seen on it without messing around with the resolution controls. Then everything becomes hard to see because of small size of the visuals. ms
  2. Wayne , Very cool and Creative song. I totally agree with @equality about the break. Very unusual but worked Great in this song. It kind of invoked a sense of confususion and mood swing . I thought the backing guitar tones were Steller and very well played. If I was mixing this , I think I would experiment a little more with the vocal FX 😁 Looking forward to the next version. mark
  3. Thanks Guys for the listens and comments. I'm calling this one "done" and surrendering. Special thanks to @garybrun for offering to remaster it. I sent him seperate files of the instrument full mix and a seperate soloed mix of the vocals. I never really know how loud to process my own vocal tracks. It was nice to have a competant person make that decision for me. As usual I think he did another Great job on a mix/master. Thanks .. mark
  4. Thanks @KSband , @freddy j , @DeeringAmps . Thanks guys for the Great comments. I've been tweeking things and the link now reflects my last changes. Guitars were narrowed in towards center. I widened the mix so much they were spread out a little too much. @noynekker helped with that decision. I carried it a little further in this mix. Reverbs were boosted a good bit. I think what helped most was moving most of my bass track a 1/4 bar downstream. It played better on the offbeat. I'm going to give it a rest , but there will be a new master coming before long. Thanks .. mark
  5. Bruce , You've sure got some great energy flowing in this one. I Love the harmony in your chorus tracks and that changeup around the 2 min. and the 2:45 marks. Killer bass tack as well. No crits or suggestions from me .. I'll bet you enjoyed grabbing the faders instead of the mouse .. Loved it .. mark
  6. David , I'm going thru the same problem with the kick/bass and low end on a song that I've already posted. I'm not much of a bass player.. I tend to play on the heavy hittting 1 beat. I just slid my bass and kick track next to each other and realized I've got Way too many spots competing with each other. I slid "most" of my bass track down stream a 1/4 beat to the downbeat. The problem was nearly 100% solved. Not sure if this is related "at all" to your song , but there were a few spots I've listened to in yours where I think it would help. I got Tired as well with fighting with EQ and plugins. best of luck .. ms
  7. Killer song ! You did a Fantastic job on the vocals and acoustic guitar around the outro. I'm kinda on the fence about the intro EQ. Listening on laptop with somewhat hyped bass headphones. The low end does get a little confusing in some spots , but in the chorus(s) I thought the bass guitar came thru a lot better. I downloaded and will check it out further on my monitors in the morning. Mainly .. just to hear it again. I'm sure you've listened to this a thousand times. I normally have to get away from one for a while to get a grasp of what is bothering me about it. I recently found a proQ preset for bass that helps a lot for situations like you think you have. Loved the song .. mark
  8. Excellant ! Always loved this song . Used to do it in an acoustic band but with no synth. Synth tracks were Real nice ! Very nice job on the lead vox. Tone did a wonderful job with the vocal shadowing and harmony. If I were to make any changes .. I would balance the voices a little bit. I think yours needs to be more up front with Tone a little further under you.. Fantastic cover ! I Really enjoyed the first listen of probably many more. mark
  9. @jack c. , Thanks Jack. In my younger years I actually could fake a Crosby song .. @noynekker , Thank You for the suggestions. 👌Exactically what I was wanting , especially early in the mixing process. The mix now reflects changes you suggested. Fairly small impact , but it sounds much more balanced to me. @equality , I appreciate the comment. Hopefully the changes will elevate it a little .. mark
  10. Hello , here's a cover of one of my favorite David Crosby songs I've always wanted to attempt. It's still a work in progress so any help for improvement is welcomed. Thanks for the listen and for any crits or comments. Thanks .. mark https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14827461
  11. Hey SubVibe , I love the structure of this one. All the changes are Very Nice and flow to the next sections perfectly. I really liked the different vocal deliveries. It almost sounds like 2 different singers that work very well together. I Really enjoyed this one .. mark
  12. Give this free vst a shot. I use it all the time without any issues especially on guitars. ms https://polyversemusic.com/products/wider/

    Endlessly

Very Nice .. You've got a smooth flow going here. It's very easy to get into the relaxing groove. Excellant mix and master .. Enjoyed it .. mark
  14. Chrome is my default browser. This is the "first" time I've had problems , Never a problem before. I did read in the release notes after updating my laptop , that the new product center now includes CbB. ?? I'll try again and make sure my firewall settings didn't get changed during my last MS update. I'll probably wait until I finish the project I'm on now. Thanks .. mark
  15. It won't let me. Using the help menu I get the same results... I get about a one sec. spinner but nothing else ever happens. Check my OP. I closed and reopened CbB several times and rebooted the pc. I did another "offline" but , I was really wanting to get the update that just came out . Thanks .. mark
  16. So .. I'm into another reactivate cycle. Last time I did it offline and picked up the countdown screen again . I brought everything to the house for internet service this time. I immediately got a "sign in to Bandlab" message instead of the normal reactivate toast. Clicking on sign in to Bandlab does Nothing. Going to the help menu and clicking sign in to Bandlab does Nothing. What am I missing this time around ? mark
  17. That was one hell of a production ! As soon as the guitars started , I was taken back to a living room of a girlfriends house. Hypnotized and staring at the needle moving on the album. Time warp .. Fantastic guitar work and vocals. Enjoyed it .. mark
  18. Awesome writing Steve ! Loved the entire production .. mark
  19. Roy , I've also read some posts about TTS troubles , but I've Never had one. I'm using the brush kit right now on a song as I have many times. If you are worried about it , do a "save as" with a new name for your project and load the TTS kit in the new copy. If you have a problem it won't be on your present project .. ms
  20. Looks like your send from track 30 is set to go to "bus c" instead of track 29. Delete the send and see if it's availabe for track 29 afterwards. just a guess ..
  21. I've seen a few AI music generating Vst's come out lately. They've really been jumping since 2023. Dawsome "Love" is a pretty cool one to add to a basic boring synth line for granular enhancement . Scaper has seemed to take it further. I do think it would be a pretty goood tool for adding some synth type backing (for those of us not so proficient at synth work) using a the basic song guitar vibe to build the backing . I think they're still a good ways from "out doing" a Real soundscape producer. But .. I do think the producers with their exceptional skills could take some of these programs to a different level. We haven't seen anything yet ..
  22. Loved this cover. I thought you did a Fantastic job on the vocals. ? I especially liked the breakdown just befor the fade out. Very creative. Enjoyed it .. mark

    Intoxicated

Hi SubVibe , This is pretty "chilly". I Really liked the low end build up at the halfway point , and how you released it. Very nice synth sounds through the entire mix and I especially liked the E-piano. I also thought the fadeout was awesome. If you're looking for any suggestions .. I believe I would drop the solo intro vocals and just let it come in with the next section. I Enjoyed the listen .. mark
  24. Hello , I've gotten a remix done now that I can live with. I kept feeling like something was missing and the song was dull and without any energy. I added an electric guitar playing off more of a blues/jazz feel. Mostly just fills , but that led to additional editing. I'm calling it finished and won't bump it back up if I make any other minor tweeks. @Lynn Wilson maybe Sir Paul would like this one better .. Thanks for the listens and all the great comments. mark
  25. Very cool .. Was that a real violin ? Woodwind whistle worked well .. I really enjoyed the production. I've got quite a few songs buried away with former players who have checked out. Musicians have an extra layer of memories you can tap into . Enjoyed it .. mark
