I picked up a Launchpad Pro MK3 in a recent sale and was very pleased. Great condition, full warranty and the full software bundle.
-
The OEM version is usually found on KVR and VI-C for $10 or less.
-
If you have an NI $25 voucher, it works apparently. There may be spare ones floating around due to there being a new version of Komplete recently released.
-
They generally have different types of sales, some of which are on full versions and some on Updates/Upgrades/CrossGrades. So it will probably come around again.
-
No idea, but I have an unused one if you want one. Not sure if you will need to create a new NI account to be able to use it though!
-
Isn't this one of those VSTs that has been bundled with hardware, meaning there are loads of them on KVR for ten bucks or so?

Humble Painter, PaintShop and VideoStudio Pro 2022 Bundle $30
Technostica replied to BTP's topic in Deals
That was a shocker for me, I think my eyebrows raised in amazement. ? Maybe there are people that hate changing tools so much that they'd rather pay a subscription than change? It seems to be subscription only now and comes with a bunch of extra features: "The World's #1 Compression and File Sharing Software Suite." The irony is that I pay only a bit more for Office 365 Family than they charge for WinZip Standard Suite and less than they charge for the WinZip Pro Suite. -
Plugin Alliance: Boom $20 Voucher / Free plugins! (No minimum spend)

I haven't used it enough to give you decent feedback but the anecdotal evidence suggests it's fairly CPU heavy. Certainly to the level where it's worth giving it a good test if you are a demanding user. As someone who's projects are fairly light and for whom it came in a bundle, it wasn't an issue for me either way. -
VIC forum was all over that last year when 8Dio had their "10 years of sales glitches" anniversary; I paraphrase a bit. I picked up the Studio Series Fire Trumpet and Santur for under $40 and got Anthology for free. I wouldn't have minded if the glitch hadn't worked as I was happy to pay that price for those two instruments. The bigger deal for me was The New Century Brass Bundle (Ensemble and Solo) for $111, with Century Strings v2 Bundle as the freebie. That's just nuts really and together they cover a lot of bases.
-
Thanks for this. I had forgotten that I had already registered two of them and had a 3rd to register. These were all freebies and Motors was the last one in the bundle and as that one seemed the most interesting I jumped at it at ~$7.
-
I read that they didn't want to open up Opus to all users at once as the tech support surge could have been too much. That made sense.
-
I thought that most newly registered licences for their products will give you an Opus license. If you look at them, under system requirements they mention Opus, which makes sense as it replaces Play. So is this an update to the original World Suite, as calling version two, 1.08 seems slightly confusing? I suspect it is for version 2 of course.
-
I know what you mean. I'm fed up of all the competing players. Also nice to be able to create custom multis in Kontakt.
-
Ethno World 6 uses Kontakt Player.

VSTBuzz: 88% off “Zampler/MPC Bundle” by Zampler Sounds
Technostica replied to VSTBuzz's topic in Deals
There are two potential issues: 1. They give away so much of their content via magazines and also a recent big give-away. 2. You are required to install yet another sample player. I'm guilty of owning over 25GB of their freebies and have never used any of them. That's often the way with free samples I find or even cheap bundles. -
I think so, plus it will be half price next year some time.

Is Massive X out of beta yet?

Best odd/unique character pianos / pianos with a twist?
Technostica replied to Christian Jones's topic in Deals
This is a prepared piano with a lot of control offered. APD had it as a deal last year: https://www.xperimentaproject.com/preparato-piano/ -
Once a year at this time, the elite deal listers are invited to a remote Buddhist retreat located high up on the Indian side of the Himalayas. Here they undergo intense deal training under the watchful eye of an old and smiling Buddhist master. They learn to open their third eye so that they can ‘see’ deals as they are being hatched in the minds of the marketing departments around the world. They can even do this in their sleep and they set deal thresholds which if crossed would trigger them to wake up so they can post the really big deals ASAP. At the end of the training, if one of the attendees has particularly excelled, they will be crowned the Deal-Eye Lama. For the record, the Dalai Lama uses Studio One, so Larry has no chance of being top dog this year. ? Why do they have it every July? They book the retreat in July because it’s out of season so they get a great deal on the monastery.

PreSonus have more music production hardware in their catalogue than most other DAW vendors. Integration with Studio One is part of the selling point of some of their hardware, controllers especially. So if they dumbed down S1 Pro, it would likely impact hardware sales too.

Studio One - The Seinfeld Edition. A DAW about nothing.
