All 3 Hit'n'Mix RipX modules now 20% off for Spring Sale.

I’m digging into them now with the demo off their site. My hope was that this would allow me to take a stereo track, and extract stems (‘layers’ is the term they use) and use them for immersive mix work. While it’s impressive what it can pull out, I don’t think it’s good enough for that. Since, I could likely use it to isolate a track and listen to that to reverse-audio engineer any legacy work that’s being re-released in Atmos or 360RA. When you load a song it, it’s an offline process. I did a 192k file last night, and it took 18 minutes to process (honestly, still faster than me using izotope most of the time). If you are looking to grab an element for sampling purposes, I think it’s probably the best I’ve found. Other than that, I’d roll up my sleeve and turn to RX. Oh- and I’m still confused about which version I’m even using and what the difference is between each of them. These cats really need a comparison chart on their site. -

APD Deal - Rackmode Signal Processors by Cherry Audio

Welp, here’s my take. $38? Cop it. Now, I own a ton of Moog hardware and software. I still have at least a pair of each of their EQs (1/3¶metric). My biggest gripe is that the “drive” knob on the plug in’s suck total crap. It does NOTHING until you crank it past 7 o clock. I contacted PSP about this and they said : It was decided that they shouldn’t distort too much. If you run more level into them, they will distort more. In the hardware, when you turn up the drive (which is technically input level), there is compensation that turns the output down by an equal amount. It’s actually a counter-wired dual pot that does this. This compensation is effective only up to a point and will distort if the input level is loud enough. This is why there is no change up to a point and then change afterward. With more input level this will happen earlier on the DRIVE pot. I feel they got this wrong IMO, and I do “get” how the hardware works. I even held on to a faulty unit that’s drive was more aggressive. Furthermore, I very, very often use the MID BAND on the parametric EQ to EQ low frequencies, and to my ears the mid and low band are exactly the same in the plug in. My hardware could be different, but they’d have to be consistently off. They do feel moogsque and at the price point, gripes aside, I suggest the purchase. I do welcome a Softube or UAD version in the future. But you won’t see those for $38 for a freakin’ bundle like this, so cop it. -
PSP is a bit hit n miss with me. I consider this one a big hit. I often prefer it to the Api 550 offerings that are out there. Great find, Lar...

https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/Knowledge/Pro-Tools-2023-3-Release-Notes#KnownIssues "Dolby Atmos: Tracks are not properly time-aligned by real time bounce to ADM or multi-stem wav (PT-282856)" Ridiculous that this major bug hasn’t been fixed (and almost every engineer I talk to isn’t even aware of it).

Thanks.

$80 upgrade seems steep for the feature set. At that pricepoint, I was hoping for some revolutionary Atmos feature- a boy can dream. But some of this was on the wishlist for a wrapper like this for a while so they just might get me.

KORG Gadget for Nintendo Switch 50% off $24 Kinda similar to MTV Music Generator for PS. I’m not exactly sure how to export audio other than the aux port, which would be quite limiting. Sale ends: 3/28/2023 at 08:59 AM PT

IK Multimedia Total Studio 3.5 MAX $177 Maybe login to their site (seeing it for $199 there) and check for an update/discount... $99 for me. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/ts3/

Think this’ll show up cheaper elsewhere? The sound examples remind me vaguely of some of the stuff my TC Electronics D2 unit does rhythmically, and I dig this ole unit because it does stuff plug in’s don’t.

Am I stupid(er than normal) or... is there no way to pass external audio through the Leslie cab, bypassing the organ? I can bypass the leslie cab, durr, but not the other way around. I suppose it’s possible they omitted this feature, but that would seem extremely short sited. booo!

Seems a better deal to buy from them off ebay as it includes free return shipping, and is cheaper if you buy more than one. Same on Ebay without promocode + free shipping returns Direct from Monoprice Indio Power Block Fully Isolated 8-Output Guitar Pedal Power Supply on sale for $39.99 after applying promo code PRES free shipping Make sure to enter code “PRES”.

Not atmos? Pfffft. it’s 2023. Get WIFFIT UAD! I kid, mostly. These demos sound pretty good. And that’s pretty much the same way I’d mic a 122.

Copped it. Still learning the in’s and out's. I slapped it on my 2 mix across several genres of music, within a minute had things sounding better- tighter, more ‘expensive’ sounding I guess. Gonna avoid their “magic” buzzword here, but I think they nailed it. The “mid bump” button is pretty awesome, as boring as a button like that may seem. I kinda rolled my eyes at the preset eqs, but they actually seem to work pretty great on a lot of stuff. The pros of packing a crapload into one plug in may seem like they are balanced with the con of not being able to user define a lot of the parameters, but this doesn’t seem to matter that much. I highly recommend you demo it before the intro price disappears.

Moog Grandmother Dark Semi-Modular Analog Synthesizer

I had a lot of reward points in my account that made this obscenely cheap. Something to consider if yours will expire soon. -
Korneff Audio Sale I do recommend the Micro Digital Reverb for 21 schmeckles. The others are pretty cool too. I got most of them on sale cheaper, and they are pretty subjective, but it’s pretty obviously they go after “vibe” and character with their plug ins, and I think they succeed pretty well. And as much as I dig the character for indierock, $140 for the delay on sale is a hard sell. That Pawn Shop comp is pretty cool.
