  1. I own the modules (and spares). Love em. At 48k and 44.1k only. The AutoFlanger is... *chefs kiss*. The AutoPhaser is... There's a low pass filter that rolls off the top end on this plug in that's... wrong. If you automate it on, say, your master fader... you're going to hear an instant filter rolling off your top end. Minus this top end issue, it's great. It's usable in many situations you want a phaser. And perfect at 88.2k and higher. I still bought it.
  2. Atlantis and some of the amp sims are the only Softube stuff I don't own. The Fix Phaser is a good deal. And some you should note that they (like the phaser) work within Modular and Amp Room, if that matters to you. Hail Paul Wolff and all that. But some of these, you may want to pass on if you plan on getting one of their volumes that include stuff. I only find myself using the TubeDelay and SpringReverb within Modular.
  3. Thanks team. Some of these are actually great so don't sleep on them.
  4. Sudotack Professional USB Condenser Microphone w/ Aluminum Storage Case on sale for $72.99 - 65% off when you apply promo code 6584T6WB at checkout = $25.55. Shipping is free. Again, enter code: 6584T6WB Comes to $27.98 with tax here. Probably doesn't sound as good as a Tube47.
  5. Stage Right by Monoprice SIC1 True-bypass Silicon Fuzz Guitar Pedal One of those small batteryless ones. Apparently true bypass. Shut up. It's 14 bucks shipped.
  6. I'm ess-my-pants excited about this. My biggest beef with API compression has always been how it destroys my low end. I'd always use it in parallel because on this, sometimes with a non-lin eq as a crossover of sorts to make things work. *points stern Techno Viking finger at unprocessed wimpy drums* "I'm comin' for you...."
  7. I don't believe it's a Gates/Collins/Retro unit they modeled. The pic on their site looks like a Fairchild 670 clone (the Analogue Tube version I believe).
  8. I like the GML, I mean, Amek eq. I also like this GML, I mean, Amek compressor. Bit of a learning curve, just like the 8900, I mean, Amek Mastering Compressor. The detectors really are helpful.
  9. #1. Learn ins and outs of all my modules in my modular rig. Some are straight forward and I already know them. Some (I'm looking at you NerdSeq) are much more involved and I need to make the time to learn them. And some I just use very simplistically. #2. Use said modular rig for even more audio that's actually released and not just some pbr sippin echopark soundcloudonly dorkjerkery. #3. Get a set together with the rig involved. I have something specific in mind. #4. Sell some gear. For really reals. #5. Turn ear-breaks into ear-walk around the blocks for a little bit of exercise. #6. Work less hours this year. I worked very hard and very stupid over extended periods of time in 2022. I'd like to reduce both. I wasn't to blame for most of this. #7. Finalize the home studio updates, including upgrades to my current immersive setup. #8. Alphabetize my vinyl. #9. Talk Fleer into WUP.
  10. I got this a while back for more. I use it often for the classic Juno sweeps a lot. We compared it to the Roland cloud and preferred it. I sent my 106 off for service (voice chip, grrr) and ended up selling it. This will do. The fact it also adds chorus to Amp Room, and a bunch of modules for Modular is a bigger deal to me than most. I use Modular a lot, I just wish it had as many modules available as something like VCV. Now... if Atlantis would go on sale for the same price....
  11. Link to beatlab: Beat Lab Comes out to $62.23.
  12. I'll play. Reverb: Seventh Heaven Pro. Honorable mention, Altiverb. Track Compressor: Arouser. Bus Compressor: Magnum K. Multiband Compressor: FabFilter Pro-Q 3 (with dynamic settings engaged). Precision EQ: Metric Halo Sontec. HM: SPL PQ. Character EQ: Hammer DSP. HM: Maag Eq4 (for the Air band... not sure if this counts) Delay: Echofarm. Don't care, I like it. HM: Echoboy. Chorus: UAD Dimension D (the best for bass width). HM's: TC Stereo Chorus Flanger, UAD Dytronics TriChorus (stupid good on E Pianos). Pitch Shifter: Serato Pitch N Time. Basic Filter: Soundtoys FilterFreak2. Glitcher/Stutterer: Stutter Edit 2 Limiter: Massey L2007. Stereo Imager: Mathew Lane's Dr. Ms. Amp sim: Line 6 Helix Native. Vocoder: Izotope VocalSynth. Saturation: Softube Overstayer. HM: Phil's Cascade. Restoration: I'd say, Izotope suite because it depends on the type of restoring, but since we are limited to one, I'd say DeClipper. I fix bad edits with this all the time and the oddball lip smack (which I use the vocal version for but the regular version can do wonders here as well). Clipper: Massey Golden Master. Bonus round. As time goes on, you are allowed to expand with utilities and combos: Utility: VocAlign Ultra. HM: Source Element's Source Connect. Multieffect: Output Portal. All-in-one Mastering: DMG Limitless Channel Strip: PA SSL 9k. HM: Lindell Audio API or Neve.
  13. I just got the Hitsville stuff with a free upgrade, so I have no opinion on them yet. My favs or ones you should definitely demo are: TubeTech CL1b AMS DMX AMS RMX Capitol Chambers Lexicon 480L Lexicon 224 Ams Neve DFC Dytronics Cylopanner Dytronics Tri-Stereo Chorus Oxford Envolution AKG BX20 Massenburg Designworks EQ Maag EQ4 Ocean Way Studios Room Modeler Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor Little Labs VOG Little Labs IBP EMT250 Sound Machine Wood Works Some of these are available in different formats, PA offerings, Softube, etc. so that should be taken into account. Some may or may not sound different. There's also a question of if you partake in using UAD hardware for modeling.
  14. That Sontec is crazy good. Pricey, no doubt. I have four Sontec channels in my rack, and ended up getting the plug in. With that and the SPL PQ, my cup runneth over this year. Smart move by MH, imho.
  15. Buy 2 Korg Volca, get one free! So... where's the best deal to be found here?
