  1. Do you really feel qualified? A stranger was seated next to a little girl on the airplane when the stranger turned to her and said, ‘Let’s talk. I’ve heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.’ The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, ‘What would you like to talk about?’ ‘Oh, I don’t know,’ said the stranger. ‘How about nuclear power?’ and he smiles. OK, ‘she said. ‘That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?’ The stranger, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it and says, ‘Hmmm, I have no idea.’ To which the little girl replies, ‘Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don’t know sh!t?
  2. heheh, no, not me. the original covid-19 probably came from bats, but it's not bats' fault. people should not eat bats. Bats don't get sick themselves (superior immune system) but they can carry all kinds of nasties, because they road trip a lot. Bats are the only mammal capable of true flight Insect-eating bats may save US farmers $3.7bn each year by reducing crop damage Hundreds of plant species rely on bats for pollination Bats are under unprecedented threat from habitat destruction, climate change, hunting and other pressures
  3. and now this: Second strain of coronavirus causing pigs to vomit in China 'could spread to humans' SADS-CoV is thought to have come from bats and has been threatening the livestock industry since 2016 but new research shows humans could be vulnerable to infection
  4. this would explain why some people get it, EVEN when they've taken what they think are every precaution. case in point: Nick Saban.

  6. yep, covid held up the cd replicators... there are others in town, but these guys did my last 3, so i'm sticking with them. maybe monday, i'll be able to hand it off, they turn it around in about 3-4 days, usually... but nothing is usual these days!!
  7. no one will know, until the virus is under control.
  8. he had a great voice... the clearly song, was probably my earliest exposure to reggae style.. i also liked tears on my pillow, RIP JN
  9. oh, i still have files to create, the plague around here slowed things down a bit, haven't even taken the cd files to the replicators yet... i'm guessing it's a couple of weeks out, then i'll post an official thread with links, sound clips, etc. it's a cdbaby thing, and since they don't sell anything anymore, but handle the digital uploads and send the cd's directly to amazon, it's a waiting game. when i get the discs next week, if anyone wants to get one then, i'd be happy to just send them directly

  14. this will be album #5. i thought, i've written so many instrumentals thru the years, that no one will ever hear, why not write some new ones that are a 'get away' from this phuckin' covid mess we're in.... it will be that kind of album, one you sit and listen to from top to bottom, because it's kind of a journey, the way the songs are sequenced... it's also the first album i've done that features zero amps and mics, except for a few percussion tracks... it was a BIG experiment in tracking guitars and bass with modeling, after 40 years of pure tube snobbery!! LOL
  15. baby jabba....? my first full length instrumental album. this one is REALLY good! being baked as we speak...
