I never heard back on a bunch of applications (2-3 months on those!), but did get a delivery driving job that I'm really enjoying! Not Uber or Door Dash, but one where I camp out behind a BevMo and only delivery from there to somewhere. Because I mostly deliver alcohol, I've been getting very decent tips! (Averaging about $96 / day so far!) Yes, it's a lot of driving and you don't make a lot of money, but I get to relax, listen to music and be outside so I'm liking it! I'm doing extra hours for a while until I catch up (10-12 hour days), but I've already paid one of my back rents and should have another by the weekend. I just finished my second week! I'm currently scheduled 2 pm until midnight though I tend to start early. I'm taking Thursdays and Saturdays off because I have other commitments on those days. I can work as much or as little as I want too! Yay!

That's one thing I was grateful for! I never took a puck to the teeth. I played when I was young, so I was tall and thin back then. Although I was the fastest on the team, when I got hit I semi-glazed over and seemed to always hit the ice chin first! LOL. Once I finally bulked up for other sports, I would have probably been put on defense. My transition was from a 6' 3" 160 lbs. to 6' 4" 225 lbs.

Oh, and I did break my nose (more than once) and have over 230 stiches in my chin (not all at the same time) from my hockey playing days!

Never had to play Jocky even though we were in some of the same tournaments, but he was a blast to talk to! I still remember one where he was so drunk that someone had to hold him up at the oche for him to throw! 🤣
