  1. Cool! Here's a picture of me playing in my huge, CJ-style studio with the lights off! Damn I look GOOD in front of those full-stacks, don't I??? ?
  2. Steve looks annoyed that some old guy is trying to butt in on his action! ?
  3. Um, there's printing on each that tells you? ?
  4. Pro-Cakewalk Tip: Save your money up and have Jim create a kick-ass DAW for you Andy! ?
  5. Or, we are just part of the Source (as is everything else!). ?
  6. "But they all have true bypass!" ~ Proud Owner probably
  7. Some people are unclear on the concept! ?
  8. Wow! I didn't realize how many went last year... Jim Dunlop Dies (Plus a list of everyone who passed away last year.)
  9. Wait... Just found the torrent... (I'm kidding!!! ?)
  10. To answer the title, I'd go with "Yes!"
  11. You can also watch it on YouTube for $2.99 apparently!
  12. I used to have some really nice speakers (for the day - the usual one cabinet with subwoofer, midrange and tweeter). I did a neat trick with them instead of the usual method of putting them on the ground with the subwoofer at the bottom. I hung them on the walls upside down which gave the music a lot more definition. When the first CD's came out I immediately bought a player and a few selections. The very first one was such a drastic improvement that my 2,000+ albums were put up for sale the next week!
  13. I think it would definitely be more fair to pay based on airtime than by the song however, to prevent every song from going on forever, maybe something like a flat amount per song than something based on time up to a cutoff like six minutes.
  14. Limp becan is still WAY better than no becan.
  15. Damn... Sorry for your loss! He sounds like one heck of a guy.
  16. Sounds like a Blues band, but how can you have the Blues if you have becan??!
  17. Oooo! I liked this! Other than a Nine Inch Nails concert you're unlikely to see that many guitars on stage at once! LOL. I'm definitely going to have to listen again while wearing headphones. Talk about a wall of sound - heh... I like how the two guitarists in front pull out E-Bows towards the end.
  18. I still prefer to buy a whole album, but it definitely makes a difference if they intended to put it out as an album (and not just a collection of songs). That Mystery album I linked to (in the Yes/Rush thread) is a perfect example. The entire album fits together and features both topical as well as musical themes throughout the whole album. I think the main issue stems from the fact that people no longer have any attention span (hence the simplistic, repetitive nature for most of today's noise, er, music!). Good luck for them enjoying Classical music!
  19. So it's the year of Becan? Isn't that every year??? (Plus it's an Earth year and I'm a Water sign, so mud is predicted... ?)
  20. As James already knows from Beyond My DAW, you guys ought to check out the Mystery. The best prog band from Canada you've never heard of! (They formed in 1986!) The guitarist/founder was definitely a fan or Rush. I can't stop listening to their entire discography... Here's just one of their albums that's a personal favorite plucked from the middle of their collection:
  21. And now you live in Vantucky! It's a logical progression! ? My Mom's at that age (will be 90 in May) where she's reliving old memories (what I get for having her take supplements that help remove brain fog! LOL). She was just relating to me yesterday how I would stand at the edge of my playpen and sing like crazy. Apparently the Double-Mint Chewing Gum commercial was a favorite... Then, when my voice changed as I got older, it put me right in the middle of octaves and the singing stopped, but I would doodle on a piano at every given chance. I just wish they could have afforded to give me lessons (on anything musical!) - actually, it was the instrument itself they couldn't afford since I was already costing them an arm and a leg with my sporting endeavors. I didn't discover guitar until late at a friend's house in Junior High.
