One man's easy is another man's wtf. I think scaler is much easier to learn than captain chords. I think there are products that are easier to start, but the functionality at that point is just making somewhat boring 4 bar pop progressions that you could get from a free chord pack. I think where it becomes "easier" than competitors is when you start using chord progressions that even people who understand music theory may not gravitate towards. It provides value to novice and knowledgeable alike.
-
For me it is the captain plugins. I bit at $39 but so far I find it horribly unintuitive and clunky compared to scaler
-
Took me awhile to start using it, but once I started , it has become a workhorse. It does so many things well. It's not as intuitive as Serum but imho does anything Serum can do and things serum can't.

I am trying to find the benefit of upgrading from RX 8 standard to rx9 standard. The updates seem more like 8.xx than anything evolutionary
-
I mostly use studio one now. If I did orchestral more I would probably lean more towards Cubase, although I have seen some amazing orchestral work in FL. I have been using MPC more for certain types of hip hop and lo-fi. I find some DAWs are more intuitive for certain genres than others, but that it is hardly set in stone. I think FL has one of the better if not the best Piano roll view.

Scaler sometimes goes on sale for 29. Another option for free chord playing is ripchord. Super minimalistic in that it only does chords and doesn't actually generate them, but is surprisingly intuitive and useful

The comments here are just as narrow as this ranking. The idea that it's hobbyists driving that opinion is nonsense. If anything , the part of that which rings true is that like the huge athletic shoe industry, amateur athletes outnumber exponentially , but it is the success of pro athletes that drives the appeal.FL is not my choice of DAW, but the number of charting hits produced in FL is long and undeniable. For EDM, Ableton and FL are simply used by too many known producers in the genre. Hip-hop and pop that is heavily hip-hop influenced ( like Ariana Grande, Doja Cat and the weeknd) have producers that create in FL or Ableton and then have those tracks mixed in Pro Tools. And make no mistake, almost every mainstream song ends up in pro tools. This brings us to the point that many top producers use more than one way of producing . London (producer for Ariana Grande's Position) has been shown doing work in Ableton, Akai MPC and other equipment. It's no secret that most of Billie Eilish's songs are produced and mixed in Logic. These lists are made to create division among people who think their own worth is rooted in popularity of DAW. For the most part, any song can be made in any DAW.

FREE UVI Digital Sensations with Purchase at Audio Deluxe

I got this for free and at first thought it was useless, but lately I have found myself using it for creating vintage samples. I went from no use to thinking of it as underrated. For a person who doesn't have all the IK products or Arturia collection this is a nice freebie. -
Coffee coming your way

Highly underrated suite.

Their other products are equally overpriced and their awful handling of unflattering reviews is even worse. I used to work in advertising, so I have no issue with the hyperbole used in ads. I do take issue with companies that attempt to copyright strike anyone who calls them on it.

Akai has some nerve selling VIP

I think there is a huge difference between a sale price that was done intentionally and someone willfully trying to cheat the price. In any case, the person stated from the beginning he was being cheeky. I would hope he wouldn't intentionally try to underpay via deception.

Upgrade is $2.99

I got warning too

I ordered from Everyplugin. They were awesome and i was the one who initially missed the email.

Nope and it doesn't make elaborate claims to do so. What it could do is: 1. Aid you in coming up with chord progressions you might not have come up with on your own, particularly ones not typical of genre you are working with. 2. Assist you in mapping out borrowed chords from modal that make it easier to learn and compose in new ways that go beyond the usual cookie cutter methods used in pop music. 3. Detect scales that may not be obvious and suggest musical directions that might inspire.

I did get reply but code didn't work

It doesn't give you option to buy upgrade if you don't have Scaler 1

I have used it. It is not as extensive as Plugin Doctor, but very useful. The first thing I did was have a glance at similar emulations (pultec and la2a) made by different developers to see the difference in curves.
