Everybody's favorite drum VST and more
Mánibranðr Studios replied to Stephen Simmons's topic in Instruments & Effects
Recently I have been just using Session Drummer 3, SSD5 Free and Druminator. I also end up just opening up Roland SCVA and exploring the included percussion kits. -
Garritan Personal Orchestra - Stuttering
Mánibranðr Studios replied to JoeGBradford's topic in Instruments & Effects
It is possible that you're rubbing up against the limits of the data transfer speeds of your HDD, considering that most sample based instruments use DFD mode streaming. I'd recommend investing in a solid state drive, and migrating the sample collections to that drive. -

I personally would suggest just using your ears for this task and manually tweaking note start times, durations and pitches. -
Which multi-timbral bread and butter VSTi in CbB?
Mánibranðr Studios replied to pbognar's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
XPand! 2 Is great, but I also use Roland SCVA for my bread and butter sounds. I consider it to be a great upgrade to TTS-1 and is compatible with most of the MIDIs I had previously written out of the box with little extra routing/setup/editing. -
Oh nice, I guess that's something I might save up for in the future.

How do I edit individual drum / step sequencer loops?
Mánibranðr Studios replied to Bevan's question in Q&A
Try selecting the clip you want to edit and bouncing to clip. This SHOULD force a re-render of the clip, and unlink it. -
Title theme for a game me and my adoptive sister Alice are working on, this time arranged with the Palette Orchestral Sketchpad.

This is a neat little VST, the lack of sounds isn't that big of a deal when you consider that the sounds are of high quality, plus there is nothing stopping you from finding the original synth and running it with jBridge.

Why can't I use Cakewalk TTS-1 for instruments?
Mánibranðr Studios replied to Rick Rickoff's topic in Instruments & Effects
Yes, XPand!2 is a very good investment. I'd been able to find my preferred sounds fairly quickly with it.- 34 replies
