  1. Ha ha, When I saw your post I just thought you were trying out the embedded music player. Thanks Mort. Good to know. Seems I cannot change my User name from John to Cactus, I don't see any edit buttons on that part of my Account settings options.
  2. Stability is tied to W10. Your on your own when using W7. I use both and definitely have stability issues with my W7 version. ANd one of them is that crash after save I used to get on both W7 and W10. For me now W10 is rock solid. But my Laptop is licenced to W7 and I'm to cheap to pay for the upgrade
  3. My Roland GR 50 menu screen only shows ( I think) Japanese. And because I can't read it I can't find the menu to change the language. No problem, it still plays my pre sets and the tuner works.
  4. My recommendation to anyone using ANY new software is to first explore all the menu's and poke around finding things. I think a common mistake is to jump right in and try to get any work done before you have actually figured out the basic layout. A huge help with CbB is the HELP module which will show up on your right in the browser window if you select it from the "Views" menu. It's at the bottom of the list. Now when you hover the pointer over anything on the screen it will tell you what it does. If you need some simple tutorials on using MIDI see my signature for the link to my website where I have an easy to follow basic guide to midi posted.
  5. Ya I find HUGE signatures with giant pictures large fonts and boring details of what Power supply someone owns really trash the reading experience on the forum. To the point that I have often blocked those members so I don't see those HUGE signatures. Some were like self promo adverts. What might be a cool add on to the forum is that there is just a link at the bottom which opens a sub page with all our details and photos. Really do we need to know anything about our computers anymore? I think we are well past worrying about computer specs these days.
  6. I think us "Loyalists" where the ones who tried demos etc and decided Sonar was what worked the best for us. Also that Sonar would be "Usable" for a few years at least so why jump ship at all. Just saying in the end I'm glad I didn't change DAW's.
  7. Yes, I think the issue with staying with Splat or any older unsupported version, is most of us will write those people off as being sort of foolish. And don't trot the 32 bit excuse out as that also seems foolish to me. I use a few 32 bit Plug ins without issue. But that said I think you'll still get good help here.
  8. Well it was around this time a year ago we were all freaked out and people were blowing money like crazy on other DAW's.. I'm sure glad I stayed put. I was one of the "loyalists" Only other DAW i spent money on was Harrison Mix Bus for I think $32. It's been sitting there unopened since. As it is here we are a year later and look what we have. Good software-Free- and now even our beloved forum is also still going. Looks like a good year coming up. I'm more stoked about learning how to use Vegas Movie Studio Plat. My wife also bought me the BBE Sonic Sweet which I "opened" early and have been pretty stoked about what I can enhance. Check it out,, big thumbs up. http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info.php?products_id=1757
  9. Just tried to change my picture in the profile. Anyhow I then noticed that for some reason I'm called by my name here even though my account is under Cactus Music like always. Oh well time to come out of the closet. I wonder what Steve will show up as?
  10. He probably has already posted that many times!
  11. I actually did have a computer that wouldn't turn on once. It was all Sonar's fault too
  12. Ha ha, I just wanted to be the first to post Looking forward to helping all those millions of new comers.
