  1. People on this forum of who I trust their opinion all have stated that the 64 bit engine will do nothing for you and can possibly do harm.
  2. Not sure My experience is the knob only seems to work with TTS1 But I’ve never tried it with East West. With TTS-1 the control seems to override the control inside of the TTS1 GUI. Just like bank and patch changes do.
  3. Freeze it, Export it, loop it back using audio cables, etc. If it's a Arp pattern generator and you want to get it to play another synth then look up using Arps. I forget how it works but it's not hard to do. I think you send the midi output to the other synth.
  4. Curious, If you open that tracks advanced midi settings strip in the track inspector what happens with the reverb control found there?
  5. Thanks @Tim Elmore for posting that signal flow chart. I've never seen that one before and it's defiantly the best and easiest to understand. @chuckebaby Here's some screenshots of the clip effects set up that scook mentioned. I've never used it myself as I use one of the many other options that will work the same. Like putting a Effects chain at the top of the pro channel strip. Just right click a clip or audio track. What I don't like abut this method is it becomes hidden and would be easy to forget it is there. So I personally would not recommend it unless its used on one clip that is part of a whole track where only that one clip needed processing. But I would then render in those cases using the Process Effects option. I'm not afraid of destructive editing.
  6. Did you know that Pro Tools doesn't have Mix Recall! I Googled a bunch of different DAW's and ask about Mix Recall.
  7. It's actually very simple. Top to bottom unless you change a Pre / Post setting. So the output of a track goes to the Gain control first. This is why it's important to have this adjusted so the rest of the pathway will receive a proper level. A lot of people ignor the gain control but it is one of the most important parts of adjusting levels and The Pro Channel is next and within the Pro Channel once again, top to bottom. What's cool about this is you could insert the Effects chain module and put it at the top. That give you an important option for none Pro Channel processing. Then the Effects Bin is next and once again top to bottom. Then the sends and Auxiliaries can be added to send to buses or Aux tracks. Then the Pan and last is the track fader. From there it goes to the top of the Bus it is assigned to and starts all over again top to bottom. That bus goes to the Master and starts all over top to bottom.
  8. What is the model number of the Behringer? Some interfaces have more than one set of outputs like my Tascam. It has a monitor and then 1/2 and 3/4 outputs and I think only the monitor out is controlled by the level knob. You might be using the wrong outputs jacks if there’s more than one choice.
  9. And this is probably the root of the problems! USB powered interfaces have a long history of issues. If the unit also has a power supply option you should use it and see if the problem goes away. Computer USB ports are all over the map as far as supplying a dependable source of power. 5 volts is marginal and there's so many other factors involved like USB 2 and USB 3 etc. My Motu will only run on a totally dedicated PCIe card USB 3.0 port. And even then it has way more weird issues than my Scarlett that uses a power supply. I often have to totally re boot my computer when it stops working. I will never buy another interface that doesn't have at least the option of using a power supply again.
  10. Somehow I knew my answer would not be well received. I was going to move on but thought I could help but I would need clarification on a few things first. The point is I try and help anyone who comes here and it’s often we have to guess what is wrong. Miss information is a huge problem when trying to troubleshoot something. Terminology might not matter to you but it makes a big difference to me and other who are regular “ helpers “ here. So the whole point of my break down was to get some clear information so we can help you. And ya, I could only assume by how you described your issue that you were either a part time or new user. Sorry if that offended it was not intentional. But once again I can only assume that a user who doesn’t know about basic stuff like that hasn’t used the software much so might not understand how a lot of things work too. Glad you got it sorted.
  11. Was just reading all the documents regarding mix recall. I was unaware that you can totally customize what it saves. Example in my case when working with multi song live recordings each song will have different track automation. So you can tell mix recall to not load that. I think this calls for deep research and a tutorial topic. Interesting what Noel said later in this thread I started exactly 2 years ago about possibly updating it.
  12. Don’t feel bad. I didn’t know that tiny button was there until last year. You need a magnifying glass to see it!
  13. I only just noticed it as I was editing and had it soloed . First thought was my Yamaha NSM10’s were starting to die. But it was worse in the headphones. Haven’t had a chance to figure it out and then I read this thread.
  14. OK lets break down your question for some clarification; This implies you have a midi or audio track used for a click and not the metronome. The metronome doesn't need a track. So this is unclear. This implies you have enabled the count in feature of the metronome for record but have not enabled the play metronome during recording in the transport or the metronome settings dialogue. ( see @Lynn Wilson comment only Control panel I think he meant Transport module ) You said you are a long time user but this statement implies a very basic starting level with Cakewalk. And just to enlighten, its a Bus not a channel. This implies an incorrect routing as the metronome bus by default, along with tracks or sub buses, should all be routed to the Master bus by default. The Master Bus is then routed to your Audio interface. Your Soft synths are either routed to the Master or to a sub bus that is routed to the master. Check all your outputs, tracks and buses are correctly routed.
  15. Yes this is totally true. And the more knowledge you have of the software the easier this becomes. I can work 10 x faster in Cakewalk than I did only 4 years ago. Simply because I decided to try and learn how it works from the ground up instead of my original method of blindly pushing buttons and doing things the same way for 20 years. It does take time but it's time well spent. I even watch the first few videos I made and see things I have improved upon since I made them last fall. You never stop learning when it comes to software and music and video.
  16. Now you got me thinking and actually a bit concerned about this. I’ve been converting all my old projects over from 44.1 to 48. I wasn’t at all concerned about the midi tracks and instruments. But one thing I’m hearing is Ample P bass lite is all of a sudden sounding grainy if you solo it. I’m going to try a listen to it at 44.1 again!
  17. I feature the LoudMax in a few of my videos. I even use it in my video editing software so my You Tubes are under control. Did you watch #101? https://youtu.be/w24ZQIkY4fw It a very simple overview of using it. If it makes your mix sound bad then you are over compressed and might need to lower your overall output using the master bus gain control or lower all your sub buses. I have a few other videos that explain basic mastering. #15, 22&24 as examples https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/36057-cakewalk-2022-owners-manual-tutorials/ If you have any questions please ask glad to help
  18. This one is about Importing a midi file into Cakewalk but it's title should be " How to OPEN a Midi file" How to Import a Midi file into Cakewalk and play it with TTS-1 - https://youtu.be/lKDfq-hTb7U You can then simply change the midi tracks to Instrument tracks of your choice. Here is the rest of my tutorials and Tutorials # 12, 13 & 14 also go into details of managing Midi tracks.
  19. FYI my videos are short and to the point. I don’t even have intros and I don’t beg for subscriptions. That would waist time. People just need the facts. I made them per topic. If you do watch the ones I listed you will be miles ahead in understanding how to produce a top quality master. There’s much more to understand about Mastering than what I cover, but for most new comers this is a great starting point. I can totally understand not wanting to waist time on yet more videos but mine are different. I only made them because I got tired of typing the same answers over and over in this forum So the sort answer is it seems you have not set your Master bus section up properly. Only the Master needs to be at Unity. It's all about understanding Cakewalks signal flow. All this is covered in detail in the ones you didn't watch. The Video's about Exporting is NOT about mastering. It assumes you've got that under control. You shouldn't be messing with Windows volume setting either, unless you don't have an audio interface. We normally adjust monitoring levels with Hardware. You also might benefit from Tutorial # 1 about setting up your audio system correctly.
  20. In the steps in my video-- once you have deleted all the audio at the old sample rate you have to use SAVE AS and to a new location. You still check copy all audio with project even though there is none so Cakewalk will create a new per project folder with a empty audio folder in it. THEN you drag and drop the exported audio track back to the clean project. Otherwise the old sample rate audio will be all mixed in with the new sample rate audio. Please watch the video again and carefully follow the steps.
  21. I always pay attention to the file size of the sample if available. Like in Dim Pro. I assume that the larger files might be better quality but then ?
  22. The Juno with that midi adapter box was the very first synth I used. It belonged to the music program teacher. He later bought the one with midi built in. I got him set up with an Atari ST and the kids learned a bit about midi , synths and sequencers. I still have some recordings we made with the kids ( now in their 40,s) and that Juno is a big part of the sound.
  23. All volume settings need to be at unity if that is the source for your export. I have tutorials on exporting and mastering projects that will clarify what you are trying to do. #15, 22, 24 and 28,29.
  24. It wasn't a big stretch for me to sort it out when first introduced years ago. I had been recalling Mixes on my Yamaha 01V since 1996. I most certainly wouldn't have expected it to know if I had unplugged or added a new input. I used to store Masking tape Channel naming strips of bands and 8 track recording projects stuck to the bottom and sides. Just recall the mix and stick the matching tape strip on the front. Most mixers now have a little name window per channel. So saving a snapshot of a mix has been around along time. Digital mixing desks all do this. That's why the big shows can travel the world and ask for a certain FOH and monitor desk and just show up, load their show from a USB stick and go. I think it's great Cakewalk adapted this same workflow. I'm not sure how other many DAW's do? One of the most brilliant uses of mix recall is for live multitrack recordings. Say you have recorded a whole night and have 30 CWP project files of audio tracks. They will all probably be mixed about the same. Get song #1 dialed in and save the mix recall. Now from the browser, drag that mix recall from song #1's mix recall folder and drop it on the other projects. Bingo and Cool.
