  1. Eventide: Physion Mk II $83.16 @ JRRShop https://www.jrrshop.com/eventide-physion Use code: GROUP Official: https://www.eventideaudio.com/plug-ins/physion-mk-ii/ FREE for Anthology XII owners! Eventide Physion Mk II First Walkthrough - Split Transient & Tonal In Real Time
  2. Yeah times have definitely changed. I hardly pay attention to their sales any more. I do wonder if they'll keep it up, or eventually start having proper sales like they used to which will make people flock back and buy heaps again. But the alternative is they just keep crap sales and try (unsuccessfully at least in my case) to get everyone on subs. I was there for the good days though and have most of what I wanted so I'll just be buying from some of the other great Devs I haven't bought much from yet.
  3. Triad is a bit of a beast. Well worth it for that price. I don't have experience with Crispy Tuner, but compared to the alternatives, that doesn't sound like a bad price either.
  4. That really is quite an unusual process! I guess it's not really too bad though, it's just not common, or what I would expect. Thanks for sharing the info.
  5. I think you nailed it there Vernon, that's what I get from them too. They are fun to play and you can definitely get some great sounds out of them as a bonus. This one is a very unusual synth and not really like anything else I've got from them, or from anyone else really! I've just been watching a walkthrough of it.
  6. Cherry Audio: Quadra @ JRR Shop ($20.16 instead of $59) $20.16 with code GROUP https://www.jrrshop.com/cherry-audio-quadra
  7. I think it might have been you that shared that tip before. I gave it a shot and the combo worked quite well. I need to remember to try that on some more tracks in future ?
  8. I just recently got this and quite like it ?

    Absynth is Over?

Absynth definitely needed a UI overhaul.. for some reason I feel like I want to start using it now ? They should either hand it over to him to continue development, or open source it. Given it probably has some proprietary code they re-used elsewhere I'm guessing handing over is the only choice other than them changing their mind..
  10. There are some great guides out there on the different types. If someone doesn't link one, then when I'm free later I'll see if I can add a useful one. For this and FET compressors in general I like them for drums and drum busses most. FET compressors can be snappy and aggressive which often works well for drums.
  11. This is also a good entry point into getting a discount on Softube Volume 5 (or 6 when released) as the upgrade price is only based on your single most expensive Softube plugin you have from the bundle already. So if you only have the cheap ones and ever plan on upgrading, that might make it and even better option.
  12. I have T-Racks Tape Echo, but not Pulsar's and I would recommend not demoing this one unless you're prepared to buy it. Some of the demo videos alone made me add it to my list of plugs to consider buying in future if it's the right time/place. A quick listen sounds much better that T-Racks and better as a creative sound design FX too.
  13. You do qualify for it free already I believe due to the grace period, but sometimes it is easier to just get it directly.
  14. At least it saves re-registering some of them again. Trash 2, Iris 2, Melodyne which I picked up another copy the day day from Steinberg. "Extra hoops" as in having to register them all separately and different download install methods, or extra steps when buying?
  15. That's a brilliant price for it. Up there with some of the great FET compressors.
  16. This looks really good. I've binged a little too this year on plugins and have ended up with a heap of delays, including tape delays in particular! If it wasn't for that, or it was cheaper again, I'd be all over it (it's totally worth it at this price though). I've been quite impressed with some of the Audiority plugins I've tried too.
  17. I initially thought it's not for me, but after watching a few videos, I can see it could be useful outside of dub. For those making dub styles in particular, it looks like a winner for sure though.

  20. Here you go Kevin, $149 at Best Service. If you grab it, it will be interesting to see whether it's individual codes or not this time around. https://www.bestservice.com/everything_bundle_2022_crossgrade_rx_pps_6.html

  23. 12 is out, I think you mean 13 ? They normally honour the grace periods well. I sat on the upgrade to 11 for ages and that got me 12. They have changed the activation process now, but I'd like to think that would still work moving forward. Only downside this time, is that you would miss out on these freebies it seems.
  24. I'm not sure anything makes Waves worth dealing with ?
  25. It is a large install for sure and I was pretty surprised at that when I first got it, but when you consider all the samples it comes with, that you can reshape into anything you want it makes sense. My main criticism of this synth is it can be a little heavier on the CPU, but that's become less of an issue as CPUs have gotten faster. In terms of sound, you can get some insanely good sounds out of this thing. If it can't make the sound, it's not the synth! Hell you could probably program a good sounding 12 layer Kazoo out of it ?
