Very talented and generous developer Doug and all coded super efficiently in C++. There are some gems in there for sure. I haven't used VSTManager. Will have to check it out π

Yeah good point. I hadn't considered that. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Really good value bundle, but for people using them as cheap upgrades etc. they may just miss that sweet spot. Will depend on how their sales go I guess and whether they choose to recalibrate a lower price.

I noticed that as well. I wonder if that's just a change for this bundle, or whether HB is going to start doing that going forward.

Thanks Brian! A heap of useful and interesting info in there and I always appreciate your opinion on the guitar side of things in particular. I had grabbed that free Tone Junkie one, but hadn't gotten around to importing it yet, so I've just done that now. I've got a few of those trems including the Sound Toys one so will definitely try that with the 65 too. I gave that Tube Modulator a demo a while back and had already decided to buy it. Their Black Friday price wasn't that uncommon, so I bought some other things instead, but I'll be picking that up at some stage for sure. They make quite a few really nice sounding plugins. Will check these out.

That's a good question... I had been keeping an eye out for it, but it's normally been out by now. Maybe they're going to roll it into their next sale. Unless they're just dropping it altogether..

If you use the inbuilt effects, or mainly presets, then Pigments for sure as their effects are way better than Hive. But I really love Hive too and as soon as you use other plugins as effects it really shines. Pigments is more feature rich though..if I had to pick one, I'd go that first based on capability. That said, everything is really accessible and simple for programming Hive on the flipside. Its not a bad problem to have either way, as they're both fun π€£

Handy to know Craig. Do you know if anyone else makes an emulation/model that includes it as well? Or if there are good models that sound just as good when adding a tremolo effect, or pedal separately?
-
I would say that these are a step above all the ones you mentioned, so hopefully you would like them Out of curiosity, what don't you like about the ones you have tried so far? Are you looking for more obvious and colored, or more transparent? I have heard a number of producers say they don't like them in general and they just use delays instead to get some of the benefits verbs would add. Often it depends on what types of instruments / sounds you're using them on too. Drums for example I find I don't like some of my more preferred reverbs for other things on. Sometimes they also need some treatment (EQ, ducking, etc.) Although they're expensive, I do really like the Relab and Liquidsonics reverbs as well.
-
I like leaving it installed, but inactive to check for updates, or install a new plugin, so for me it's not too bad a compromise. The fact you need to do it, is appalling though and they just seem completely ignorant to customer demands for changing it. I've read pages of criticisms about it in their forums and even mentioned it in support tickets too. They just don't care. Same with them force installing .aax even though I'll never use them.
-
Welcome Xoo and you probably don't.. but I do really like some of these! If I didn't already own them, I'd be grabbing it! Reverbs and delays in many ways have such unique character that I don't mind having lots of options.. definitely not needed though.. Haha..

I'm glossing over this one for now.. I tend to not buy anything UA now unless it's a bundle / upgrade. The best prices are all for new users, not those that buy each item over time. As for their sims, I've managed to pick up about 3 for free, or included as a free upgrade (Luna Pro bundle) and I think they actually sound very reasonable. I'm already pretty well covered with Tonex and a bunch of others though, so I just can't see much need to buy this one for myself personally.
-
I'd agree with most of those, apart from UAD. I just rename it to UA disConnect.exe and it never starts unless I ask it to. I do love some of those simple ones like Kilohearts which I think is just an exe installer that runs on demand as you need it to, without even needing to install it.

There are some additional cross-grades, especially from the Guitar Amp Bundle I think I saw.

Online, but a simple serial number from memory and seems to be the same according to this:

Thanks Carl, I wasn't aware of the ujam link, but now some of their symphonic ranges make a little more sense, as I thought they were a slightly unusual fit for them. I'd actually love to see consolidation of a lot of company's installers, similar to how we have iLok being common across many developers. At this stage though, I'm only thinking the likely contenders would be either Native Access, or Pulse and I'm not sure either of those would be a desirable fit.
-
I have that exact same problem with a few different companies too!

Valid concern and you're not alone there. Spitfire definitely has a mix... They all seem to have a preference for their own players at the moment. It is at least somewhat reassuring that Spitfire have literally just released new additions for free to SSO though. Still looking forward to trying them!
