It's possible your bestcoins may have expired, but it you email the guys they should hopefully be able to restore your previous orders. Might be worth asking about the coins too 🙂

Yeah it's so bizarre! Have to give them credit for dropping the download expiries though. That was a huge way to alienate customers. If they got someone to proofread some of these things, or maybe even ask AI to write it, or check it, they could solve a few more!

So true Brian, I'd agree with all of that. They're lucky they have some great products and generous group buys, as otherwise there's no way they would do as well!
-
Would've caused a lot less confusion if they just worded it differently, like you have 🤣
-
Agreed, I think they went a little far in that direction this time too. If it sounds good, then it wouldn't stop me using, it buying it and it would be easy for them to update with a skin/update but I don't like the visual aspect of it.

Almost (if not) everything Neold make is good.. I don't think I want to demo this, otherwise I might want to buy it.. haha..

https://help.uaudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/42235504915988-FAQ-LUNA-Pro-2-0-Update When is LUNA Pro 2.0 releasing? LUNA 2.0 and LUNA Pro 2.0 will be released on Oct. 21st, 2025. What’s going to be included in LUNA Pro 2.0? We’ve decided not to announce the entire contents of the updated LUNA Pro quite yet… but you can expect 15 additional UAD plug-ins, hardware inserts, Melodyne Essentials, and more! What will LUNA Pro 2.0 cost? LUNA Pro 2.0 will be priced at $199; however, anyone who owns the original LUNA Pro bundle will qualify for a FREE upgrade to LUNA Pro 2.0 once it is released on Oct. 21st. Even better, LUNA Pro is currently on sale for $129, so it’s a great time to make a purchase now and get upgraded to LUNA Pro 2.0 for free on Oct. 21st. Who exactly qualifies for the free upgrade to LUNA Pro 2.0? Anyone who owns the original LUNA Pro bundle will be eligible to redeem a free upgrade to LUNA Pro 2.0. This means if you purchased LUNA Pro outright, or simply purchased all of the plug-ins that make up LUNA Pro individually or through purchasing another bundle like UAD Ultimate 11, 12, or 13, or UAD Complete 2 or 3, you qualify for the free upgrade. Note: Promotional plug-in licenses do not count towards LUNA Pro ownership. If you only own a promotional license for a plug-in included in LUNA Pro, you will not qualify for the free upgrade. In this context, promotional licenses are defined as a license you got for free, like as part of a plug-in giveaway or bundled with hardware. I only own a promotional license for one or more plug-ins included in LUNA Pro, but otherwise own a full license for all the other plug-ins. Is there a discount available for me? Yes! If you only own a promotional license for one or more of the plug-ins included with LUNA Pro, but otherwise own a full license for all the other plug-ins in LUNA Pro, you will qualify for a $49 upgrade to LUNA Pro 2.0. I bought LUNA Pro a long time ago. Do I still qualify for the free upgrade? Yes! Anyone who has purchased LUNA Pro since it was originally released qualifies for the free upgrade. How do I know if I qualify for the free upgrade? The easiest way is to go to the LUNA Pro product page while logged into your account and see if there is an “Owned” badge in the top left corner. Additionally, if the bundle is owned, the “Add to Cart” button will say “Buy Again” instead. You can also check to see if you own all of the following plug-ins and extensions that make up the LUNA Pro bundle by visiting the “Plug-Ins” page on your account. LUNA Extensions API Vision Console Emulation Bundle Ampex ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder Studer A800 Tape Recorder Oxide Tape Recorder UAD Plug-Ins & Instruments API Preamp API Vision Channel Strip Collection API 2500 Bus Compressor Century Tube Channel Strip Galaxy Tape Echo Oxide Tape Recorder PolyMAX Synth Pultec Passive EQ Collection Pure Plate Reverb Studer A800 Tape Recorder Teletronix LA-2A Leveler Collection How long will the free upgrade be available for? You will have until Dec. 31st, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST to claim your free upgrade. How exactly do I get my free upgrade? When the free upgrade is available, we will update this FAQ with instructions on how to upgrade. Can I trial LUNA Pro 2.0? Yes, once LUNA Pro 2.0 goes live, we will have a 14-day trial available.

I looked at some of their plugins ages ago, but from wherever I could see, there was no mention of any of them being VST3. It would be interesting to know if these are still being developed / supported.

I kind of like this analogy, but I'm also a little mixed on it. A lot of craftsman will often buy the very best tool from whichever brand makes the best of each particular type of tool, rather than just a manufacturer that is able to sell them all. Much like the stock tools in the DAW are a complete toolkit, they're often not the best option for all of them (although some stock plugins are often seriously overlooked gems!). I would say Omni is a caliber above stock plugins of course, but I look at it more not as in spending less, but spending the same amount as you could on Omni, on options that surpass some of Omni's functions and add breadth to the options when they might be on par. Same with the car analogy. From my limited use of it and all the demos and walkthroughs I've seen, I'm not sure I'd personally class it as a Ferrari, but instead more an XL, or Sports Edition, or something. I think Omni is a really good tool, but not orders of magnitude higher than the others and not in the same way that a Ferrari is a whole lot more horsepower, design and quality than an average comparison. But I can see the convenience of having very capable options in the one tool for speed and simplicity, especially when you're on the clock. Even for staying in the creative flow there's a case for it too. Unless you have a shortlist of go to best in breed options that you know like the back of your hand as well, as then you stay in zone anyway. That's not to say I'll never buy it.. I think it seems really good and interesting. I might get bored one day and pick it up anyway, but for that price, there's no real gap it fills (for me) to justify spending that much in today's market and even less so with the alternate options I already have for it.

Will be interesting to hear your thoughts on it once you've been able to get it installed and had a chance to play around with it Mark.

I'd almost considered grabbing this at $45 a few times on sale.. glad I didn't! Not that it wouldn't have been worth it at $45, but knowing I could grab it for $20 now instead makes me glad I didn't. I've picked up some decent libraries since then, but I do wonder at such a low cost whether it's worth grabbing simply for a different flavor, or inspiration. I've read some reasonably positive comments about it, although it is a much older library these days.

No probs 🙂 IK have some weird upgrade ideas... Basically there are Upgrades, Crossgrades and Maxgrades. It's all explained here, although most people end up more confused by their explanations most of the time it seems! 🤣 https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/?id=1191 Most of the time I don't really rate their upgrades, or whichever flavour they want to call them. Rewarding loyalty is not generally their thing. I think I now have everything in Total Studio (apart from the Max of Tonex although I do have all their Signature Collections for it anyway and yet, a new customer with nothing will get into Total Studio for a very similar price. That's why I ignore their TS. Tonex is better than Amplitube in my opinion, so if you don't already have that, then that's what I'd recommend instead. I do actually quite like Amplitube though. Audio Plugin Deals have (had?) some offers that get you into the group buy. If you use the code STUDIOUPGRADE it should drop them down to the base price. With those you could get get Tonex plus Amplitube and a truckload of the signature or Amplitube expansions. Just make sure whatever you get isn't on the exclusions listed here: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/allingb2025/ (That page also spells out exactly what you could get for free, depending on what price the item is you buy to join the group buy) I'd probably go that route if I was doing it and didn't have them. If not Black Friday is around the corner.. there will always be deals and bundles, so you can't go too far wrong 🤣
-
The Max versions aren't included unfortunately. They would get more sales if they did, as a lot of people already have everything else, so without them, there's less point in some people buying in to the group buy. I can see why they might not want to do that and same with holding back their latest releases, but it would generate more sales as well, so it's double edged.for them.

The discount is a cart discount. So if you added Appassionata Strings to the cart, then it's over $150 so you're getting 30% off ($249.00), so that all looks right. IMO the current discount is only really good for EDU discount peeps as it's generally not supposed to stack, but sometimes does.
-
I have a feeling a number of these aren't entirely intentional, but when they realise, they don't hurry to fix them as it's good for sales.
-
That's a good point, I was buying BBC Symphony Orchestra Core which made the stack 30% off the EDU 50%. "Spend £150 or more and save 30% on your cart." Price for the strings was $87.15 and BBC Core was $157.15

I agree with a lot of that Carl and Scheps is famously known for using those cans. Like you said if you know whatever you have really well, then you potentially don't need it. The same could be said in some ways for room acoustics and as long as you know your room well you don't need them either, but I still think there's merit to having treatment. Speakers+Rooms can have challenges that are harder to solve though. As for room emulation, depending on how it's done, I personally don't mind some of them. I use Realphones and some of the rooms / devices help to highlight issues and balancing them you can find a happy medium when you're flicking between them. It's more likely the car test goes better afterwards. That solution isn't perfect either, but still another handy option to have for mobile, or when you're not in a properly treated room. I do tend to think some of these are just stepping stones to get you to more closely recognise what things should sound like. With the last few sets of headphones, they're more than capable, but I'm still OK with a few crutches here and there while I'm still learning!
