    It's a D thing

Nice to know it added a positive vibe to end your musical day, thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.
  2. Sounds OK here, the vocal is quite atmospheric. (I was a BBC model B and Amiga so I had two friends)
  3. Your vocal tone reminded me of someone but I will be damned if I can remember their name. Anyways the mix sounds OK here.
  4. The vocals are interesting, there are a few intonation issues but as Wookiee singing kills none Wookiee life forms within a Parsec, I will so no more. Are you riding the vocals or are they compressed it is is pumping? I like the general feel and groove nice job.

You are most kind Sir thank you for listening and commenting I can live with an association to those masters of the synth.

Thanks nice to know i worked for you.
  7. When "She That Must Be Obeyed" speaks one does not argue with the "Senior Management".

    I Like You

Certainly works well here, nice easy listen on a rainy Monday afternoon waiting for a man in a Yellow van to come.
  9. As noted a very pop like song, I do wonder if the HH groove is quite right for the songs groove, just my furry observation. You do also realise that one day someone will smile at you in that way and that ice around your heart will melt.

Thank you Nigel, to be told it reminds of Vangelis is an humbling, nice to hear you loved it.

Thank you Andy you are most kind. The Cherry Audio 8 voice SEM emulation has such a squelchy growl to it.
  12. I do love me a bit a of Tabla, I do hope you took your shoes off to play the Tabla bits, very disrespectful not too you know. This has a very westernised feel to the Tabla as it tends to remain the same, were in Asian Tabla the patterns change as the music progresses. I did enjoy to the end @mark skinner very fluid and engaging track.
  13. This does have promise all the epic-ness of a classic Rock Opera.

    It's About Time

Cool groove from the start with some nice textural tones to keep the furry ears smiling. Around of applause for this one @bjornpdx definitely worth a

The first track certainly has some whoomph in the bottom end. Did they double your bass with a sub bass synth? What have you been told about not panning bass eh eh eh? In answer to the opening question, does anyone know why?

    Forever On and On

    As ever nicely done.
  17. As ever you tell a story Barry, regards the mix the drums sound a little over reverbed for todays market they also sound a little boxy here. Something is missing in the bottom end too, I am not hearing much kick weight. As ever I am sure the mix only needs a subtle tweak or three and you will have another of you good tunes to enjoy.

    It's a D thing

I did once have the pleasure of meeting and talking to Rick for sometime when he played a local venue. He said he would come out with the rest of the band for a meet and chat after the gig for those who might like to meet them all. We also shook hands perhaps some of his magic rubbed off on me (doubtful). He proved to be very interesting chap, his bass player was a true genius too. Thanks for listening.
  19. Again we have started early in going down the wrong rabbit hole. Tickets have been raised against this so I am locking it.
  20. As this thread has gone down a rather sad path I am locking it.
  21. @Henrique Hespanhol Tozzi Unfortunately you will never get particularly good results with that cable and ASIO4all as it is not really a real ASIO driver. Have you tried WASAPI? As has been suggest, however rudely when you cna afford it buy your self a simple 2x2 Audio Interface I would look on the previously owned pages see what you can pickup.

    It's a D thing

It’s a D thing. The opening riff is something I realised I frequently play quite unconsciously when auditioning or creating synth voices. Created using; Three of Arturia’s Mini V (Mini Moog) Each one is the same basic voice that has had a little tweak of some kind, filter envelope reduced, different footage oscillators, filter cut off start point changed, Emphasis as Moog call it. Cherry Audio’s: Eight voice, and their new MemoryMood (Memory Moog) emulation. Written in D major, because I have a thing for both D and Dm. Thanks for listening.
  23. Interesting little piece bounced along rather sweetly.

    8 Hot Dog Buns

I suspect that because of the distortion the little compression you are using is over emphasising the distortion, remember compressors are amplifiers. They will raise the level of everything you pass through, including the noise floor. Another thing to remember the level of the signal out of a compressor should be the same as the compressor bypassed., unless you are using parallel compression.
  25. The repetition get wearing if I am honest. Music needs to go somewhere unless it is under something that really does not need music.
