  1. Not my thing, but I do suspect that your Vocal is out of phase or you are using a widen FX on them, which for me here on the Adam's results in the vocal sounding almost three feet in front of the monitors whilst everything else is sort of glued in the middle. You have obviously spent some time on the lyrics which work well with the tune. Thanks for sharing.

    Make me Smile

Nice driving groove track here Nigel, mix works well here. nice job all round.
  3. Nice driving groove at @Hidden Symmetry, drums sound OK but I think I understand why you might want to use something else, what did you use? Horns are a nice touch, mix sounds dense but it works well here.
  4. Thanks Tom, you are most kind, glad you enjoyed my little song, for your information the following synths were used. Arturia's CS-80 V and DX 7V in parallel in Analogue Lab 4. Korg's Wavestation Version 2 and M1 Version 2, the recent updates to these are great, re-sizeable GUI, exposed CC values for ease of Automation. Arturia's Mini V on bass duties. Along with Superior Drummer 3 Rock Warehouse Tight Rock kit tweaked a little. Thank you again.
  5. Floating on the Wind Of Dreams what would we see? Another little one 3':25" thanks for listing again this carries a possible health warning Finalised to -14.1 LUFS On The Wind Of Dreams Remixed Finalised to -16.9 LUFS
  6. One of the things to remember with their early stuff much was done on 4 track and intended for a MONO pressing. When they started doing Stereo pressings they had to get inventive with the panning, so drums would be one side with possibly the bass and backing vocal and then lead and other guitars would off to the right. They did a lot of bouncing down. If you get the chance to hear Sargent Peppers in its Mono format it does sound quite different to the Stereo version on a number of Songs.
  7. @batsbrew You are welcom,e because your guitar playing is slick, smooth, precise and then slip in a sweet "greasy" shred in the middle of it all. ?
  8. Works @Douglas Kirby like Tom suggest a lift in the chorus would put some fairy dust but it works as is.
  9. Super slick and greasy guitar on this @batsbrew, nice one. One tiny little nitpick there is something about that snare sound that just did not quite gel for me, other than that as one would expect from a master such as yourself.
  10. Hi Steve sounds like you did it justice as I said elsewhere always a difficult band to cover. Well worth a
  11. @Douglas Kirby Thank you, not sure did someone say Floyd, maybe ?
  12. @Lynn My thanks it mean much coming for one as talented as yourself.
  13. Well after the last one. Thanks @daryl1968 you are most kind, it was an excellent job you did with your wife's choral group.
  14. @bjornpdx It is a known fact that Wookiee signing is lethal to all none Wookiee life forms with in a Par Sec. But it appears it is only when we sing (if that is what you care to call it) in our Native tongue. ? Thanks for the listen and comment.
  15. Nicely done Daryl, a round of applause to all involved.
  16. Nicely done sir, mix sounds OK very dense but OK.
  17. @Makke Thanks nice to know you enjoyed your time ears and comment is appreciated.
  18. Not a bad tune a little repetitive in the groove and like Tom the drums sound like you could do with some variations in velocity. What drum sampler are you using if at all? Sorry if what is below is teaching you to suck eggs but as an ex drummer here are some ideas to help you get more realistic drum feels. No drummer is time perfect they are always a little behind or a little in front of the beat with each hit. There are a couple of tricks you can try on drums, make use of the Vary Velocity CAL script only needs to be a spread of 10 to 15 velocity changes say 85 to 100 will make all the difference. Also nudge can be useful, move a few hits forward 5 or so ticks and a few back the same amount. There are two type of drum rolls Double stroke where the drummer plays two hits with one stick and then two with the other, this normally shows up with one hand being consistently quieter. Single stoke rolls where only one hit is made per hand these tend to speed up as played so the hits get closer together.
  19. Unfortunately Vimeo does not seem to want to play nice @bjornpdx, but hey if I can make noises that might be vaguely cause signing I know you can. I will try again later see if it want to play nice thne.

    Hobo boots

@Makke You got your groove on with this one, sweet furry paw tapping stuff.
  21. @Max Arwood Thank you for your ears and comment, Arturia's CS-80 V provided the organ-ish pad and their Jup-8 V provided the bass.
  22. @Bajan Blue Thank you glad you enjoy my little excursion into the world of vocals.
  23. It has a some what repetitive vibe to the groove, could do with a breakdown or a totally different groove in a middle 8, mix wise it sounds balanced and the individual instruments are obvious. Keep it up you will get there in the end, anything worth doing takes time to learn. Thanks for sharing.
  24. Nicely done @jsg it just shows the power of the MIDI editing facilities in CbB, I applaud you. Well worth a
  25. Nice easy groove, as usual quality playing and production nice one Bats.
