Cakewalk not responding due to Buffer size

Hi all, I recently downloaded a plugin that required a higher buffer size than I initially had. I had to change this to an extremely high size, and this resulted in cakewalk crashing and not responding. Once I reopened cakewalk I tried to bring the buffer size back down to where I initially had it, and  it stopped responding again. Whenever I try to bring it back down Cakewalk crashes. What can I do about this?

What audio interface are you using?  Did you change the buffer size in Cakewalk or did you use the control software that came with your audio interface?

I am using a behringer UMC 204 HD, and I changed the buffer size in cakewalk

What happens if you exit Cakewalk and rename your AUD.ini file and then restart Cakewalk.  That file will be rebuilt.

This file is in this location "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core"
