Cakewalk tracks not linkint to correct Kontakt outputs

I am using Kontakt with Cakewalk.  I successfully set up 16 tracks with midi inputs and outputs.  I believe I accidently deleted track 7 & 8, so now instruments 1-6 work fine, outputting to their respective tracks in Cakewalk, but when I set the 7th Kontakt instrument to output number 7, no sound.  Same if I set the output to track 8.  However, if I set the output for instrument 7 to any track 9-16, it outputs to the tracks 2 below where it should (output set to 9 will show up on track 7,  output 10 to track 8…).  Also, now I can only use 14 instruments in Kontakt, not 16.  How to fix?

You might have to explain your setup in a bit more detail for someone to help you. I am not expert at Kontakt but I use it enough to get by.

Make sure you have all 16 outputs defined in Kontakt and that you can see signal going to them from within Kontakt.

Then assign those outputs to the input of your associated audio tracks. Are you a simple instrument track or separate midi and audio tracks?
