I have installed this world of cake from the need I was looking trough my Midiplus to access better quality for midi clock, and Asio Performance, the need just happened discussing and I got it not only installed but taking other features from the original state as their predecessors, but even uninstalling it, it has got not undertake uninstalled, brokening the build of the sound on the Operationing system, Some Music just got broken on the featuring these elements of sound configuration from what Asio4All has taken for their liability in some kind of promised functionality, as I agree for simple Interface it just do the Job as control it for better taken elements for Asio. But it in other manners as official Asio assignment is conflicting, and regard it are getting out of the regulated agreements. Anyway, I found all that from my Control Room in other states, in my operating system functioning in all states, anyway with some conflicting as assignment to work as quantization and driver recon I found that at other level in my state of Art!

At hard states to configurate it, on Device for Latency driving it are not changing from Asio4All to Midiplus!

*ps. My Control Room Studio is costing $ 100.000, not only by the fact my work costs, it's not so much working!

ASIO4All was designed for software that requires an ASIO driver where no reliable ASIO driver exists.

Like all "generic ASIO drivers" ASIO4All is a wrapper for native Windows drivers, in this case WDM.

Cakewalk does not require an ASIO driver (although it generally performs better with a manufacturer supplied ASIO driver). The DAW works with native Windows WASAPI, WDM and MME drivers.

If you are using the sound chip on the PC motherboard or have an external interface without a manufacturer supplied ASIO driver, try the other driver modes.

If running Win10, try the WASAPI modes. For older OSes try WDM.

At this moment, forgeting about this topic for the moment, I was working here on something about my settings and stuff, even with this problem changed trough to other meanings, just like used on the system timestamp, and it are changed again! About this message:

I was working here in something like recorded audio and something like automatized drums and bassline vst, on other sequencer and just it got the quantization escaping from the responsibility. - From what I am! And scrambled the stuff even more, on my front the subject of audio I'm working on the operated system! It's just a quarter of audio init, anyway, it are not giving the way to continue! And the control still are not the same as what was before even worse, getting the time and quantization for no own!

  1. do NOT install ASIO4ALL till you are sure you need it and you are ready to accept all other audio drivers will stop working as before. Uninstalling not always helps. It does something which is probably revertible with manual editing of registry only. I once had the situations, after installing it for test. Note that major Windows update probably helps, that has helped in my case. Also note that with Cakewalk and current Windows you never need ASIO4ALL, there is no situations it performs better then other options.
  2. in Windows based $100k studio, investing $1-3k into audio interface make sense. Especially in case you want life monitor throw DAW.
  3. MIDI can be bugged from time to time. Audio interface can help only in case the keyboard is connected by MIDI cable throw it. While MIDI cable is slow, USB connected keyboards can have even worse latency. But when not bugged, that is rarely an issue.
