Listened to all three versions. And I still like the Ventures version. Has more energy. That's not taking anything away fromChet or Johnny. I really like both thier versions too.

I am just a little partial to the Ventures. I remember hearing this song for the first time on a school bus on our way to school (not many buses had a radio in the back then!). Being a aspiring drummer, this was the best song I had ever heard.

Wha? The bass player has the samllest amp?

You have to pick all 10 in one transaction / order, but that can be at any anytime, you don't need to select them straight away.

Assuming my Pro Tools Loyalty Voucher is good once ten new plugins (that I want) are available it might "feel" better pulling the trigger then.

Then again, PA Loyalty Vouchers might get me what I want as the newer release go on sale.

Wait and see is the call of duty today.

I think I read that you have to pick them all at once. You get one voucher that only works on a cart with ten plugs in it.

Well, that's a bummer for me. I own everything except the Deskew and Dear Reality stuff (5 plugins total) and so I'd only be interested in picking up new stuff. If that's the case I'd have to wait upwards of 8-10 months before I could take advantage of the 10 plugins voucher.

  4. If you get 10 plugins a year do you have to pick them all at once or are you actually give 10 vouchers?

I can get the XXL Bundle for $199 as a promotion from AVID. But I don't want to waste the money if I have to wait to pick 10 new plugins all at once.

The FAQ speaks to (paraphrasing) "get them any time you want" but they speak in terms of 3/6/10 vouchers so that's what is confusing me.

  5. I broke down and bought the 2 extra HRK ST552 Tape Emu's for my Warm Audio Bus Comp and a Fatso for my Heritage Audio Successor.

My hybrid final mix chain will be:

Vocal Bus -> ST552s -> TK Audio Bus Comp
Drums Bus (shells only) -> Fatso -> Heritage Audio Successor
Bas Buss -> ST552s -> Warm Audio Bus Comp
Master Bus -> ST552s -> Serpent Bus Comp

I'll be using Studio One's Pipeline XT to handle the hardware integration into the premaster mix.

  6. This sale finally capped it for me.

The only items left available for me are these that I have little or no use for:
    Dear Reality dearVR MONITOR
    Dear Reality dearVR MUSIC
    Dear Reality dearVR PRO
Deskew Gig Performer® 4 PA Edition
Deskew Gig Performer® 4 PA UNLOCKED

Stay tuned for free $75 vouchers in the future from me as I receive them.
