I am getting ready to upgrade my CPU, motherboard, and RAM. But keep Windows 10 and the same drives.

I wonder if I will have any issues with Waves (or iLok) activations afterwards? The drives will remain exactly as they are, except maybe some new drivers.

I would deactivate / move Waves Licenses to the cloud and reactivate them when your back up and running.

Can I buy something I already own and register it to get into the group buy?

i.e. can you have more than two IK licences of the same product on the same account?

I did that a couple of weeks ago. I got a great price on a second copy of Syntronik that got me in the group but at the highest level.

Bought IK Syntronik from them a few weeks ago at a great price and entered the Group Buy. All went well.

    😎 same here. Thanks Lars!

I played the baby grand that was in the living room my whole childhood (my father, bless his heart, tried to have me "trained" to play the piano).
The wife and I packed an upright grand for years.
As stated above, I play a mean 1 handed blues in the key of C (I can, and do, lay down bass lines with the left and/or right hand)
But I'm no synthesist (one who plays the synth)........

So how do I use it?

If you haven't already get yourself a usb midi controller (keyboard) and run through some presets in Syntronik.

  5. I like the 500 series concept. I bought Slate VMR when it first came out. What I don't like is paying for stuff a second time. That's why I stopped using Slate digital Trigger and bought Addictive Trigger. Addictive Trigger allows the use of samples from your Addictive Drums collection while Slate Digital Trigger doesn't allow you to use the samples from SSD.

I would love the ability to use my T-Racks, Syntronik and Amplitube processors in that environment but not enough to pay for them again.  With all due respect to IK, that's a fair price for an awesome product (MIxbox) if you haven't already purchased these processors in the past.

WTF does one do with it? (remember, I'm a guitarist who can play 1 handed blues in the Key of C on the piano)

Any/all advice would be greatly appreciated..................

Midi Guitar by Jam Origin is brilliant!  It opens up the world that keyboard players have had a monopoly on for far too long. 😎

Well you could look at it like that 😁

There are a few 'benefits' to it, depends I guess. I own everything from everything, the ability to mix and match within the one environment I have thought about over time, whether or not it's worth $149 or indeed $199, I'm not sure.

edit - If I could trade my MODO Drums that I got as a freebie in the VI GB I'd give it a go 🙂

I could have stated that better: I've spent years collecting and mixing with those modules. There are some real gems in that collection and I've spent way more than that on them with no regrets. If you don't already have these, the Mixbox is a great value. I like the 500 series format but I'm happy with what I have now.

I'm doing all I can to push this group buy's numbers up!
    (those who know...KNOW...LOL)

Thanks for all you do here! I just can't see a path that makes this group buy worth it for me. I guess I'm heavily in vested in IK.

Edit: My arm has been sufficiently twisted. I'm In!

Fairly close.  Pretty close to the previous office (which was not nearly as nice, love the newer office) too.

That's near my old stomping ground. I lived in Coral Springs from '72 until '91. I still have lots of friends there.

The US office in southern Florida.  I work remotely but I'm close enough and (will, after things settle down and it is safe) visit frequently so I will.  Though for jamming we already have a big "jam room" where we can host a ton of people and have a quasi-stage etc.  It's no Sweetwater campus but it is still pretty sweet.

Is that the near the Sawgrass Mills mall?

At a drummer's request (on my studio drum set) I have added a mic about 2 feet above the ride and crash in addition to my dedicated hats mic. I also have a standard X-Y mic config 5 feet off the ground. These are all Sennheiser 600 series condenser mics.
