Just FYI, there was a limit… forgot exactly what the number was. But I eventually received a msg saying I couldn’t redeem any more free sounds. I think the limit was 300

Also, the lowest price RC-20 ever dropped to was $19.99 at PB.  If Rekraft ever goes for around that price, I’d buy it.  In the meantime, I’ll happily stick to RC-20

Just a heads-up if you sign up for their newsletter... This dev sends out emails way too much.  Felt like almost every day I was getting some sort of email from them.

I was so mad when NI discontinued Pro 53.  It was one of my fave VIs.  Never knew NI released the source code... awfully generous.  Good on them.

That's great!  It was so stupid getting rid of it in the first place.

I have a dedicated email address for all of my music-related stuff.  Keeps my main email mostly spam free  

But even with my dedicated email for music stuff, there’s certain devs/companies that email waaaay too much.  In those cases, they are insta-unsubscribed.

No spring sale for me =/

There's plenty of "I regret buying this library" on VI-C about this one. 

The general consensus being that it's very inconsistent across the mics/articulations, and badly scripted.

 

I own Spitfire BBCSO and can tell just from the demos of this "London" library that it doesn't compare favourably at all.

 

If you're new to orchestral libraries I would say save your pennies for the next Spitfire sale.  If you just want to dip your toes into the world of string libraries, I would strongly recommend one of their £29 "originals" libraries such as Originals Intimate Strings (which is truly gorgeous).

Basically the same guts.  They abandoned updating the installer/plugin(only for older OS)… Then, they release the same plugin, but with a slightly different name, minor changes and an updated installer(for new OS).

Before it was offered as a freebie on PB, ppl were very critical of A.I.R. for that move… Essentially, an attempt to make more money on basically the same plugin, when they could easily just update the plugin/installer instead.

Very interesting. I very much see this as competition to human-created content.
