I thought they'd got the crunch/high gain kinda covered with the Marshall/Soldano, so I was hoping for some twist on the clean/jangle Perhaps something brownface Fendery or Voxy!

Would love me something Voxy for sure!

It's far better than the PA stuff, Megasingle etc, but still, it's not for me.

Far better than PA? Wasn't megasingle developed by Igor Nembrini as well? Are you talking about amp side or the plugin overall? IMO, PA amps lack in IR department, but are perfectly fine with recording chain section bypassed. I prefer to use ampsims with third party IRs, particularly by Celestion. I suspect that Cali is hardly any better than bx megas if you use your favourite IRs. The real question is - is there any noticeable difference at all?

I've been hearing various comments about having true separation between the amp and cab part of the modeling.  Some of the new Rigs come as "amp only" where you add your own IR to the signal chain.  I can only assume doing this purposefully is better/more accurate than disabling part of the pre-baked signal chain in rigs that are not natively separate?

They've not been very vocal about their Rig technology, but if I understand it correctly, Overloud and other TH-U Rig libraries developers measure the signal both before and after cab/mic setups. Thus users can disable either part and create their own chains. Correct me, if I'm wrong.

Were you trying to purchase an IR Pick and Mix 5 pack?

Seems that is not included in the sale.

Yes, I usually buy Mix packs. Weird, because the poster says the sale excludes Two Notes and Positive Grid. Go figure! :/

I have overall 23k IRs to reindex so it takes every time few-several seconds to wait till it completed to build menu (SSD disk of course).

Not exactly what I was talking about. If you buy cabs from Two Notes, each cab checks your license with TN online services. This slows things down noticeably and proved to be somewhat buggy.

How does this work with User IRs? Worth checking out?

I have a bunch of Cabinet IRs that I never use because they are just too annoying to organize.

It works. Kind of. But navigating user IRs is such a PITA, I gave up using WoS for this. And if you consider buying IRs form them keep in mind that the more licenses you buy, the slower the plugin becomes. To the point it starts crashing your DAW in the middle of the recording/mixing process.

  6. It's a great scratchpad if you need one. Instruments are nice sounding (sampled, think Xpand2), the workflow is very intuitive. No ASIO support, AFAIC, but still works fine with WDM. I got it bundled with M-Audio keys, so I didn't have to pay for it.

  7. Although I didn't really NEED it I still couldn't pass it by at this price. Survey voucher's gone.

i see it more like a tone finalizer than a regular comp ...it's abale to compress , eq and tame highs via de esser in a very great way ... if you need a really good Bus comp

nope , if you need a really great bus or tracks swiss army knif for fast tone and dynamic shaping : bingo

Works great for any mic'ed source. Vocals, drums, acoustic instruments sound awesome and it's easier to dial in the right tone with this plugin than the full blown channel strip or a chain of your favorite effects.

While I love their drum MIDI packs, I've not been impressed with their plugins...... I've used Assault Drums and it's a real CPU hog, despite having a really campy and lo-res interface

This one is no different. Veeeeery CPU inefficient, with a rather questionable UI and poorly designed functionality. I just hope the developer will fix it in not so distant future.

    @Christian Jones

I got to play for about 40 min with it and it does sound pretty good,  but I don't think it's worth the asking price ($79    (possibly may need to spend some more time with it)). I also look for that digital 'fizzy' breakup sounds and didn't notice it with Euphoria.

However, the volume is very sensitive and tends to send the output to red very easily (had to lower the in/output levels to adjust).  The chorus pedal is very nice and makes a huge difference in tone. I also noticed that my freqout pedal would give it a mid/high tonal boost which was very nice.  ATM, I think I can  get similar tones from my other amp sims. Don't get me wrong, it's quite good,   but just didn't quite have a  'wow' factor for me.

You really should test it out and see for yourself. ;)

Same here. Although this amp sim aims to be kind of meat and potato thing, other amp sims provide extra goodies like pitch shifting, acoustic sims, tremolo, you name it. The downside of such one trick pony kind of plugins is that you can't (or won't) use it for roots music, acoustic guitar, bass and creative effects. Lack of all such use cases doesn't help to justify the price tag, IMO.
