  1. By the way, my gripe here isn't with the regular guys that post news of latest software updates/deals/news. My grip is with the BandLab peeps that have ignored requests to create a few more sections where we can discuss something without topics becoming derailed by talks of you know what.

So, @Meng, @Jesse Jost, please, create some more appropriate sections. Please.

    Says who?

'Bout time the powers that be here step up and create similar (or even same) sections that were on the old forum. The created the CH, so why not all the other sections?

  3. Trouble with hardware, though, is they generally don't have a lot of automation/modulation features, compared to VST effects.

Don't get me wrong, I love my HX Effects pedal and my MPX 500 rack mount effect unit, but I only use them for reverb/delay/chorus/distortion effects. When I want to get really creative it is software all the way.

Only other option would be something like a Eurorack effect unit which you could automate/modulate with CV, but that starts to get very, very expensive...

Having said that, my first issue is posting what we have to call a 'rant' about a product on that product's forum

Well, like I said, the person that created that "rant" didn't actually post it here, so kudos to @ChernobylStudios as far as I am concerned for deciding not to post it himself. Scott is a YouTube content provider and I think that it was right for him to tell his subscribers where he was with that particular series. And I do feel for the guy as his problems appear to be genuine.

  5. been following it too... very sad day indeed

apparently, officials are saying that they have saved the the main structure:-

    Quote

Reuters news agency is quoting an official with the French firefighting team as saying: "We can now say that the structure of Notre-Dame has been saved from total destruction".

AFP is also reporting that the main structure has been "saved and preserved", citing an official.

  6. Nice walk-through Simeon :)

I pulled the plug on NOIRE a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for a piano VST, although I am far from an accomplished player (just one finger and I don't use the black notes at all). NI actually had a Piano Day sale on at the time but the crafty so and so's placed a link at the bottom of that sale page for NOIRE.

I'm a bit of a Nils Frahm fan so that is what attracted me first.

But that particles engine, for me, nailed the deal.

A great piano library, and I don't own Kontakt so it was a real boon that NI have made this available for Player too.

    cheers
