New idea 2LIVE4 finished
-
Finished the idea 2LIVE4 i posted couple weeks ago after i lost mans best friend. Few people encouraged me to do a full song from the little idea, here it is, i perk it up in the middle 8. Spent 14yrs with the mighty pigpoo, always sat by me recording when he was not destroying trees haha hope you like
-
Thanx, i think my next one is better. Should be ready this weekend 😉
-
Thanx Tim, I'm a year into cakewalk so been mixing up the styles to learn my way round a daw, however iv'e spent more time on last couple of tracks messing with recording mics and levels
-
Working on acoustic track at the moment you might like. However, having problems with mic placement, buzz, high frequencies, mud and my playing haha
-
For sure Freddy your bang on "Music is a real reflection of life, it is a delicious vibe born out of belief!" expressing our full emotions or your not doing it right i would say lol , the pain, love, humour and every other trait we have form our conscious to our subconscious i would say. Thank you Freddy, rock on...

Cameraman had a great amount of fun haha

The the message is what people want to ever make of it. That's the beauty psychology of people self promoting their thinking.

My dog (pigpoo) died at the weekend so i started writing this, he would have been 14 and had a good life. I agree i should finished it now iv'e started, i wasn't sure at the time. The idea is there to build from and i have some ideas, thanx Lynn

Was setting up my bass tonight, new strings, strat new strings and Acoustic new strings. Well i just came up with this little idea after putting a quick loop drum beat together and testing everything, should i do a full song? Was going to call it To live For

People had a good laugh and a few strange looks. I say the first rule of music, don't care what people, it's the number one blocker of the creative vibe. Yes i gave the song gears to tell the story, starts loose on purpose...
-
Got carried away, i really enjoyed doing the middle 8
-
Thank you Michael, i like to mix it up to stay creative and experiment, then from time to time drop back to a stripped down vibe. I just did a track (East BAy Ray) with Two chords only for production experiment and now doing quite a complex track called Black Sheep which is fun
-
Thanks a lot Andy, i enjoyed doing something more stripped back
-
You guys a feeling it for sure, loving it...
-
Thanks, one of my better vocals, i don't practice enough but love singing
-
Thank you Lynn, great to ear, its been short listed for BBC radio, doubt they will play it has they do a background check now on your political opinions haha
-
I found the missing ingredient, will finish it this week, then decide on if to do a quick video or take my time haha.

Hi Paul, sometimes instead of bringing things up like the piano (means instruments and frequency's can compete more when you bring things up) think about bringing other things down (do a mix recall scene and try both ways, save your scene of as up mix and down mix) turning other things down gives you more headroom, trade secrete to mixing and mastering. To go step further if you not already, you can make more room on EQ and panning so it sits in the mix or out of the mix, depending if its a hook to sit out or a rhythm to sit in or if you making some room depth or width etc Interested to here the next mix of this, keep me posted

I am trying to finish a track ive called Black Sheep, having problems with intro maybe scrap intro, i find if your loose interest in first 8 bars or whatever its harder to get it going

Nice clean mix, great work. Honest opinion which is maybe personal preference or my ears. The bass kick has to much of a constant click sound and not a rounded warm thud for what is a warm overall sound where it should be sat in the music. Sounds discounted in the mix, sits out to much and not in the music with the bass. That little break before you sing, you can hear the bass wanting to hit the kick or the kick hit the bass so it blends in more, less separated. I know some people like to hear the kick but it distracts from the good vocals and guitar work in this type of track, should complement together with the bass and not really be heard. Great track, i listen 3 times and that would really tidy it up, great track

i didn't know where it was going lol
-
“Born In The USA” by Bruce Springsteen (B – E) and “Lively Up Yourself” by Bob Marley (D – G) quite a few two chord songs
-
I always battle with drums on certain styles, sidechain doesn't really work on busy drums, i did a panning phase and distortion on these drums, blending the kick into the bass with a light distorted snare. The vocal sidechain in places calm the drums on this track, i should have put them up in places, the fills come through but not the main push .
