Many thanks @sjoens and @Kevin Perry. I'll see if I can suss out the "hide" option. If it's easy to explain why we need two types then I'd be very interested.

Hi all, is there a way to delete items from the Browser window please? It's probably staring me in the face but I just don't see it.
I have two instances of AD2 (I moved the second one from the "Synth" folder) but the VST is installed only once.
Thanks.
EDIT: looking in the plug-in manager, there are actually two instances, one in "VST Instruments (VSTi)" and another in "VST3 Instruments (VST3i)" - have I inadvertently installed two instances?

Isolate each offending S (or sibilant) as a separate audio clip.
Thank Jim. Having had a play with Melodyne's functionality, I wholeheartedly agree.

Which in turn reminds me of Dr Evil 🤣
I really must have a listen to some APP stuff. If you've seen the "Get Back" footage on Disney, that's him lurking in the background in the control room at Apple.

Always liked his singles, would you recommend his albums?

I feel there's something under the surface after the first listen.
Thanks Lynn, I did enjoy using the phrase "creature comforts" in different contexts and I left it just a little bit vague overall so as to try and get the listener to paint a mental picture of their own rather than spell out a specification, if that makes sense.

Very nice indeed Mark. Well recorded and mixed. FWIW I can hear no sibilance issues.

"Revisited" because I'm fairly sure I've posted about this track before but probably a couple of years ago. Comments appreciated.

Hi Jesse, do you mean the solo starting at 2:02? That's from my 1990s vintage Yamaha SQ16 keyboard, "Hawaiian guitar".

I can hear your pain in this, I'm so very sorry for your loss.

The Garden
in Songs
Nothing to do with a garden but this is a song of mine, newly recorded, but from about 25 years ago. Partly based on what I was experiencing at the time and partly on a TV drama in the same period. Very stripped back arrangement but I think it's all it needs. My first dalliance with Melodyne's sibilance control.
I don't use profanities lightly in a song, but this contains one because I think it is appropriately descriptive. Fully understand if an admin chooses to take it down as a consequence but we're all grown-ups here so I hope it's not a problem.
Comments invited as always.

Hearing an ace production like this makes me realise how ill-qualified I am to comment on it. Very nice job indeed, well done 👏

I too can hear the bass and the kick ... but only just. Great rock song and cool guitar sound though 👍

use Melodyne to reduce some of the sibilance
I didn't even know that Melodyne did this, I have much to learn. Thank you.

I usually have buses for my lead vocals and backing vocals. Where best to put a de-essing plug-in, on each individual vocal track or is it possible to de-ess an entire bus to achieve the same effect?
Many thanks.

why not EZDrummer all the way through?
It's a "quiet" kit at the start and I couldn't find a way of including two instances of EZD without crashing CbB so I opted for AD for the "loud" kit. Of course, this is potentially now all up in the air as I consider all of these useful comments so far 👍

What are you using for drums?
I'm using the EZ Drummer 3 "tight/small" room kit for the first bit (going for the Paul Simon "Fifty Ways" sound) and Addictive Drums 2 for the second bit.

Well, horses for courses, I believe the saying goes? the real question is, do you think it's worth it? That personal muse provides all the answers you should ever need.
I've heard a number of your tunes here, and liked them all. Does it matter what a bunch of tossers think? Likely, not really, no. But you did graciously invite some critiques so I'd say for me, I found the musical parts and the arrangement very interesting, lots of great instrumentation choices, a hooky melody, with a lot of potential for mixing, and I think there is room in this world for this wonderful music!
I also thought the music was much, much more interesting than the lyrics. Your inventive song structure could be used to say something a little off the well-beaten "love" path? Something more powerful or opaque? Just a thought, worth what? Probably not that much.
If it is speaking to you, never mind the background noise, go straight at it.
cheers!

Thanks Tom 😄
You know, I was just thinking the same thing about the lyrics and maybe that's what's stopping me from liking it unreservedly. They don't make an awful lot of sense for a start but I've had the song in my head for so long ...
I'll put me thinking cap on.

I think the synth`s (sax as well)let it down and cheapens what is a great song and the midi drums are not very nice
That's food for thought Paul, thank you. I'd be interested to know what you don't like about the drums - do you mean when the "loud" drums come in?
