Have fun , it's really a superb release , the more i use it the more i love it ... if IK would have released that like a year agao , i don't think i would have spent so much on 3rd party amps including neural , stl and PA (ampegs) , i think half of those would have been skipped ....

Personnaly i do think limiting option is better and learning well a tool makes a hudeg diffrence, you're good with AT5 , learn it well and get add ons when sales comes (like orange , fender , ampeg ) ect ..it's usually cheap as 49 $ druing heavy sales /... max is also an option but wait until it goes 149 $ (usually tha price even lesss at jrrshop and other shop sometime , Larry will makes us notified as usual !!)

Their UX ? shuuuuttttt don't let Larry start a fire about that lol !!!

So I played with AT5 today and I am loving it!

If you take out the calculator, AT5 Max definitely makes more sense. But then because I wasn't able to purchase from IK Store and JRR website had that written as AT5 Max Crossgrade instead of Upgrade, I couldn't help but think what if something goes wrong and IK is like you got the Crossgrade and not Upgrade.
Since I am a student and earning from working Independently, I took the safer option and went with AT5 Upgrade from JRR.
Also I had this feeling that alright, if you're spending might as well get Max, but then there was gonna be a lot of gear that I'd probably never use.

Like you said Zo, sometimes the lack of excessive variety is better and I am loving what's in AT5.
Love the German 34, VHandcraft 4, Metal Lead V/W, MH-500, American Lead MK3, Red Pig, Miniplex, Brit Valve Pre, Brit Blue Tube 30TB.
Got some nice tones straight without even tweaking the Cab section, can't wait to fine tune my own presets now.
I think I've got a nice playground now and got my favorites for the tone I want to get the job done and not endlessly dragging and dropping.
Coupled with the Fender and Ampeg collections that I already have, there's only little stuff I am missing from Max.
In the future as I get good with AT, DAW and Guitar playing, I'll get max or ENGL, Soldano or Mesa collections but AT5 is still really amazing!

About AT5, there are a few bugs/crashes I experienced and also some gear missing the Green Check Mark in the CS.
But it'll get sorted in the next patch.

Overall, I am really loving this software for what it does/what it costs. (Neural etc are too expensive for me).
I feel really confident that I have one ecosystem for my Guitar tones and don't have to fiddle with 10 different things.

Feeling positive about Cakewalk + AT5 as permanent members in my pipeline and learning some skills to create some nice music now.

Ok...that way, yes, there are 4 if you are including the "Full Version"...
I was going from the offerings if you already had Amplitube 4....

    So, recap..

    Amplitube SE is $99
    Amplitube FULL upgrade is $149
    Amplitube MAX crossgrade is $299
    Amplitube MAX Full is $499...

Crossgrade should be from any IK Product $99 or more I believe...

Thankyou for taking the tie out and helping @cclarry!

So I finally purchased the AT5 from JRRShop.
It was cheaper as I payed in $ instead of EUR.
AT5 is now there in my products finally. Thanks to the giant leap for mankind that IK took, it took me 2 days to buy the software with cash in card and got AT5 instead of Max.
I'll see how the UX is before I spend on Max. Right now Upgrade shows me full $299 if I want to upgrade from AT5 to AT5 Max which is stupid as its equivalent to buying a new software and not upgrading.
Hope they get their UX sorted, both web and AT app because it's bad.

Thanks for helping fam and special thanks to master @Zofor the JRR link.

First, there are only 4 versions

    Amplitube 5 CS - FREE
Amplitube SE - current intro price is $99
Amplitube 5 - current intro price is $149
Amplitbue 5 Max - current intro price is $299

What you are seeing for $199 I have no idea what it is. Do you have a link?

YES, you get Jampoints for the purchase.  They will be deposited to your account
when you register Amplitube Max (or whatever you decide to purchase)

You CANNOT buy Amplitube Max with credits...only the other 2

When you purchase at JRR you will be issued a Serial # instantly to register at the IK Site...

    Hope that helps!

    Thankyou for the help CClarry!

Here are the links on JRRShop.
    Amplitube 5
    Amplitube 5 Upgrade
    Amplitube 5 Max ($499)
    Amplitube 5 Max CrossGrade

Really confusing as the Upgrade and Crossgrade reflect the prices on the IK website.
Also when I add Amplitube in Cart from IK it says "Upgrade". I am not eligible for Crossgrade as I don't own any AT4 products.
Probably they mean AT5 Max Upgrade.

    Really appreciate the help!

Assuming that you want the crossgrade you can get it here https://www.jrrshop.com/ik-multimedia-amplitube-max-upgrade

unless you have somejampoints or credits you wanna use ....

Hey Zo, I am thinking of purchasing from this website.
I am a little confused though.
There is a version called "Amplitube 5" which is discounted from $299 to $199.
Then there is "Amplitube 5 Upgrade" which is discounted from $199 to $149.
In IKM website, I see the same price for Amplitube 5 ie. $149 logged in from my account.

Little background, I own the Amplitube 4CS and some Fender Gear that came with my amp.
Since I don't own a legit paid version of AT above $99, I am not allowed to upgrade.

So should I go for"Amplitube 5 Max Upgrade"?
I have only 10 jam points so I have no issues buying it from the website you suggested, however if I go the gear credits way I can get Max for EUR 214.
Since that is not available, it's still okay.
    But,
    1. Is the website safe to purchase from?
    2. Will I get any jam points for the purchase?
    3. How am I supposed to register it at IK?
    4. Should I get the "Upgrade" thingy?

No worries, IK sales are very common, and deals are typically only getting better. As for amp suggestions, if you browse this and other forums, you'll see there's thousands of opinions about hundreds of amp sims. It's all inherently subjective. Demo some of them, at least to figure out what' s important to you in an amp sim. There are some other ongoing sales, too. Kuassa, for example, have a sale now  - they're cheap and sound good, great value. Try their Vermilion amp.

I was wondering if there are any other places from where we can buy Amplitube 5 Max or 300 Gear Credits?
I think it's a backend issue on their side. And I'll probably not able to concentrate on other stuff now until this itch is sorted. 😛

Around a year ago I was buying ARC from IK store, with paypal, and once pressed the final "pay now" or maybe was it "place order", anyway, I got the same error 502. It didn't let me through so I ended up not buying it. Looks like the error is still present :/.

I tried again today, and it's the same error. Tried all the different permutations and combinations but the payment fails everytime be it Debit/Credit/Paypal.
I wrote an online support ticket and it said, "Thanks we'll get back back in a few days." Few days?
No way I am buying this at full price.

On a different note, any other Amp Sim ecosystem you all would recommend?
I play guitar and am learning music production for background scores for client CGI animations.
I've got a few free Amp Sims and they sound nice, but really liked the whole Amplitube ecosystem and the tonal possibilities.
Such a shame I am not going to get AT5 Max if this doesn't get sorted before the deals close.

Contact their sales support. They will see what's going on.

Are you trying to buy through Custom Shop? Or on IK webstore?

Right now I am on AT5 CS with some Fender Gear carried over from AT4CS.

I wanted to purchase AT5Max via Gear Credits, and the payment is being declined while purchasing the credit pack through IK Store.

Cleared browser cache, cookies, history, tried with chrome and IE, changed PC, internet connection, tried Debit Card & PayPal, but the issue seems to persist.

I'll try contacting the sales support & really hope it gets sorted.

  8. Greetings everyone!

I am having a weird issue here. I want to purchase AT5 Max & when I try to checkout with the 300 Gear Credits Pack, I get an error saying "Code - 502".
Tried buying from Visa, PayPal, Laptop, PC, Phone, Cellular Hot spot but it's the same error every time.

Anybody else experienced this? Don't really want to miss the current discounts.

So my Audient EVO 4  arrived from AMAZON today. All rigged up with my Lenovo Core i5 16GB and 1 TB Hd system. No prob installing though I did come a slight cropper with the FRUITY LOOPS ASIO Driver installed. It caused CW audio engine to drop out with the cursor on constant whirly thing.

SO I uninstalled the FL Asio and the Asio4all drivers, SORTED. Works like a dream since then.

Downloaded all the freebees that came with it, done via a serial and a pin on the underside of the EVO 4 and then the evo.audio/evo4/download site

I am a loopcloud subscriber - one of the freebies is a few gigs of samples added to your Loopcloud account. Only issue with that is more on the loopcloud side. If you already have an account with them it doesnt add the Audient freebie loops so I just emailed Loopcloud and 5 mins later they added it there end.

Here is a pic of my system with CW open and the EVO 4 on the right for scale:

I ordered an Evo4 as well. It's on it's way & I'll mainly be using it for recording guitar. 2XLRs and the Loopback function were the main selling points for me.
Can't wait to try it out!
    Congratulations @aidan o driscoll !
