Thanks for that tip Glenn, I have never heard of that program, I installed it and it is very helpful!
Be curious what you discovered on your machine.

I always liked Intel boards too. I was very disappointed when I discovered I could no longer get them. Always had bios issues with Asus. It always needed some update they would never put out.
I use Gigabyte now. My last build is stuck on Windows 10. It says I am one generation too old for Windows 11 even though lesser CPUs than mine are deemed acceptable. Frustrating.
I've never had one BIOS update issue with Asus through the years, but oddly enough had them with Gigabyte ...which you had the opposite. So strange.

When I first started building in the 90s, I treated the PC Build Engineer(yes, that was a real job back then) to lunch to help me build my first PC. He was a wiz, and he explained everything.
I'm proud to say I've had boot up first time every time 30+ builds down the road. I enjoy the nuance of it, and having all the cables the way I want them. Also, very few problems over the years with Asus motherboards and Intel processors. The two AMDs I built back in the day just were bears and I sold them off. -

...and stuff like this...
I saw that, and it was awesome. Started with HUSTLE! I've done something similar(though obviously not at that speed). Outhustled a guy to the guy to the corner, used the glass to see my guy coming down the slot and did a backhand blind to him and he put it home. Even this old squirrel got a nut occasionally(and I was NOT known as a speed or skill guy, but did have hustle and awareness) 😜

Good game, the team I wanted to lose, lost.
One thing I've noticed about hockey and soccer; they would be just as exciting without the ball/puck. A bunch of folks running around or skating for 2 hours. YMMV. 😁Boo on your first point, but hockey is MUCH better than soccer because of hitting ...and fighting.

For the first decade of the 2000's, I had a job as part of workforce management, and the last few years, for a company with an office in the US. That was my first glimpse at how big the Superbowl is. A lot of folks planned that months in adavance when they submitted vacation request for the year ahead. I was surprised to see how huge it was.
Some were pretty blunt about it too, and they'd tell me that if their request for that Monday off was to be declined, they would call in sick. Although it was a really bad idea to be "sick" on that day, as it looked really suspicious.
I had a couple of drinks, but do not get drunk(I keep the plane low if you will) ....that is a novice move!

I hate to see the nail in the coffin delivered by the refs, unjustly IMO. But, they came out small in the 2nd half ...can't take your foot off of the gas!
Still have to go to work tomorrow, and at the end of the day, still SPORTSBALL. My life is still really blessed!

also, adverts on the start menu, are you seeing those?
Go to Apps and remove Microsoft News

Performance the same here with minor annoyance at the Win11 interface/menus (which I have about just the same as Win10 at this point). Not putting on the studio box until I am absolutely certain of all the programs/drivers.

Yeah, that I totally understand. If the Leafs aren't leading by a mininum 6 goals with 3 mins left, I can't relax.
It IS the Leafs!! Curios to see if they can take the next step.

Not a Devils fan?
As for the big game: I'll be watching, and I suppose I'm rooting for KC -- although in truth I'd be happy if it was simply good, competitive game.
New Jersey is split in half to the NY(north) and Philly(south) media markets. I was born and raised rooting for all things Philly(which was only 15 minutes away).
I want the Eagles to win andI don't care if it is good and/or competitive if they can win the game .... a close game is stressful! 🤪

Someone posted Motley Crue playing Wild Side last night. The live tempo was 107bpm compared to the studio version, which is 115bpm. I've noticed slower songs with Alice in Chains as well, and it annoys me.
Does anyone else pick up on that kind of thing? If so, who have you noticed it with.
At least with tuning down, there is a more practical aspect to it! -

Sorry again, brother. No more hockey talk.
I guess this time at least I had the right city, just not the right sport and decade.
I mean, hockey is in my NAME! And I'm South Jersey born and raised, GO FLYERS!!

He is great guitar player as is James Young.

I went to a band called Spread Eagle last night that my old band had opened for in the early 90's. They had a very minor hit called "Switchblade Serenade". They were frickin' AWESOME last night and I realized even though the music is a little "sleazy", the reason I liked them is because the music, especially the solos, are more sophisticated than the average bear.
But, I was really impressed by them 30 years later. Tight band with super-solid musicianship.
Who have you seen in recent times that you were impressed still "had it"?

@Rain when I see the KISS mug or other merch, I do the Gene "OH YEAH!?!" every time.
I have so much KISS crap to sell this year. eBay is going to love me.- 2

I'd never use anything but the Pro version of Win10 or Win11. Home edition is just too restrictive.
When you see the upgrade message, it will upgrade you to the same version you have (home, pro, enterprise). -

I had audio driver failures when I upgraded from Win7 to Win10, but none from Win10 to Win11. The one main ongoing issue I have is not with Win 11 per se, but with MS's major updates every six months. They change the machine ID and blow up some of my software authorizations. Melodyne is a good example of that. I have to reauthorize Melodyne after every major update. After the last one, Melodyne wouldn't allow any more reauthorizations, telling me I had authorized it to too many different machines. A review of my account showed that the PC name was always the same. Celemony tech support were very nice and quick to resolve the issue, acknowledging the problem and resetting my authorization count to 0. Melodyne Studio is back up!
Melodyne has done that for me as well, but I would say that is more on them and not Microsoft. We all know there are going to be major updates.
They Finally Let Me Into Abbey Road Studios!
