  1. Nice song, I liked the echo, perfect place for it.

Wow, really enjoyed listening to this! With my headphones on the guitars seem to dance around the top of my head. Very clean sounding recording and great playing. I think it's pretty perfect as is. If I were to add anything to it I think a flute solo would wound sound nice in there. Outstanding man.

    Thanks a lot guys!
  5. I'm using Jamstix with the percussion add on. It works OK for some things but it kind of sounds the same, not very versatile.

    Bad To Be YOURS!

Not my style at all but well done pop track for sure.

Miguel, thanks for the suggestions. Larry, Jobim is my inspiration for sure, love his stuff. Also Russ Freeman of the Rippingtons did some beautiful work with his nylon string that makes me want to try to emulate.
  8. I have some free wav files that have worked well on a song or two but they didn't work on a slower tempo, just sounded awful. Looking for suggestions of how to get some good sounding bongos, congas, timbales, shakers etc. onto my tracks.
  9. I think it sounds really good, I might increase the bass just very slightly again but I like a big bottom. Nice work.

Made some subtle changes to the mix. Slight EQ to guitars to brighten a bit. Slight decrease in reverbs. Changed to simpler drum fills and brought down the intro snare.

Thanks David, Wookie, jack! David, there are some conga/bongos on the bridge part. I tried to add some wav percussion to the song but when it synced to the tempo it sounded terrible. I'm open to any ideas of how to add good sounding Afro/Latin percussion to songs.

Thanks Steve, I couldn't play without fret marks, I'd be lost! I pulled the frets on my 75 dollar Glarry jazz and filled with wood filler then a couple coats of CA glue, really fun to play.

  17. Excellent sounding recording, catchy song.
  18. I like this one, quite a toe tapper. What are those horns? They sound really good.

Thanks Andy. I was shopping for the SLG and then decided I like playing unplugged too much. Years ago I saw Lee Ritenour playing one so I know they sound good. My wife would probably like the silent version when I play a lead part 100 times trying to get a good recording!

Thanks! I actually had some percussion in it initially but took it out because I thought it sounded too busy. Jamstix has jamcussion but usually I don't like it. I also have some percussion wav samples that I tried but none worked real well. Open to any suggestions on good percussion vst or wavs.
