  1. Oh wow, that was brilliant! Really liked the song, so clever.
  2. Sometimes after using cakewalk for a while it will get terrible static during play back. Seems the only way to get it to stop is close the program and reopen it. I thought it might be the buffer was too fast so I slowed it down but that didn't matter. I thought maybe I need more ram so I increased from 32 to 64gb - still does it.

    Out of the Dark

Using my new used Sterling Audio ribbon mic on this one, it sounds great with sax I think, very nice quality mic and not expensive. Usual suspect here tenor sax, Fishman midi guitar, EzDrummer3, Jazz bass with Amplitube4 SVX
  4. Good song, interesting details in there. I would bump the drums up just a little.

    Lookout

Cool rocking song. The drums are very quiet and the bass is pretty low too, it takes some of the rocking punch out of it.
  6. Another cool song Keith! For me the keyboard is a bit loud and drowns out the vocal. I would back off slightly on the guitar delay/reverb too.
  7. There's so many that I use and like. BiasFx 2 for guitar has been great. Amplitube4 SVX bass amp for free is a go to. MEQ and Mcompressor are free and good. Ezdrummer3 sounds great. Been using Xpand2 for synths but feel like I need something else in addition, a lot of the synths are so complicated, I like simple.

    SUMMERS GONE

Very nice song, great job on the vocals too.
  9. I really don't like watching a video unless it's a live performance, I feel like it influences my take on a song, that's just my problem. Really good song and production, sounds totally pro.
  10. There is so much reverb/delay on the guitar that it's hard to tell what is happening with the mix.
  11. Cool stuff, you did some crazy playing on there.
  12. Thanks freddy j,. markno999 not familiar with that plugin, looks interesting but not cheap.
  13. Thanks for the thoughts Mark. I have felt the bass was kind of muddy and have played with EQ quite a bit but doesn't get much better. I think it might be my sloppy bass playing letting the notes ring out over each other. Hadn't really thought about the piano tone, I usually use it as is, it's Addictive keys grand, maybe there is a better grand out there, I'll take a look at the options in there.
  14. Thanks for checking it out Nigel.
  15. Really good work and nice arrangement.
  16. Good song and nice work on all the vocals. I think the vocal could be just a touch louder and the synth horn or whatever that is needs to come down, it's overpowering the vocal.
  17. Nice track, very chill.
  18. Let me know if this sounds good.
  19. Thanks for the listen and comments guys. l agree the piano is not great. I did some work on it and will repost.
  20. https://www.bandlab.com/studedude/brazilian-breeze-c26f0829?revId=2e084e64-db65-ed11-9f5e-000d3a980004 This is one I posted a couple years ago with piano but never loved it. Reworked it with sax and remix. Let me know how the mix sounds.
  21. I've had to resort to recording the synth to another track so I don't loose it. I've had the same problem with Sweetcase and the strings Cakewalk includes.
  22. I've had recurring problems with a recorded midi keyboard part that will randomly stop playing, I have to replace the synth to get it going again. Today my Xpand2 kept stopping and even after a reload it stopped in the middle of playing a midi section.
  23. Hey the Beatles wrote a lot of bubble gum hits too. Good job, another hooky tune.
