  1. Man, they are rolling out the instruments quickly. I haven't even really had a chance to investigate this very much. Now the total bundle is up to $450, but I see there are still quite a few more "coming soon" instruments, so I might just wait and see what the full collection will go for, if they get it before the end of year I'll get the whole slew, since I need to spend a bit more $$$ this year for tax purposes. Anyone have a review of some of the more recent additions to this library or the whole thing?
  2. Upgraded the acoustic bundle (in other words, getting the new Dry Relic Guitar), for $63.00! That was pretty cool. Although it said the sale didn't apply to the Dry Relic, it certainly did to the upgrade of the bundle, so how about that loophole?
  3. I can get it for $99, but I'm on the fence. Over the years I only use it sporadically--not saying it's not good, it is and I do use it on occasion, but it is never really my "go-to" for anything, for some reason. So...maybe...just to stay current and get all the newest ones.
  4. Interesting info...I remember when Samplemodeling was just getting started, it was a revelation, but too pricey for me at that time. THen the company split up, I guess over Kontakt vs. SWAM engine stuff--always about the dollars, I guess) and I never really did a head-to-head comparison, which probably would be a good idea. Thanks for the tip.
  5. Is this an actual Kontakt instrument--I know they include wave files, but what about loops and MIDI editing? This would be great if it works anything like other drum samplers such as Superior, etc. I don't see any instructions, etc. on the site. I don't want to use wav loops, I want MIDI loops rather than to play them myself.
  6. I've recently purchased and then upgraded the Woodwinds Bundle, and I'm very happy with it so far. The company has offered me an upgrade to the All=in (everything) to add strings and horns for only $750. if I could find a coupon to add to it, it's gonna be done. Or maybe even without, still a good price for their stuff, which I wanted for years but it was so expensive I just couldn't pull the trigger.
  7. I was gonna be all over this till I read the reviews...all talking about the drives failing very quickly. ouch. Yet the overall ratings are 4.7 out of 5. Hmmm. That's rather confusing to me...
  8. anyone use these products, I think they could be useful, maybe. I have used Izotope's Rx for doing some isolation of different elements, but not totally happy with the results in most cases.
  9. Downloading the free Steinway right now. While that happens, I watched the video above, and also went through a number of the demos for the various Soundpaint instruments. The piano sounds very nice, Rhodes is fine, but as others have said, it's not quite the Famous E (although a different model) and I think it probably is worth it. As far as some of the other instruments, I think the potential is great, but the demos (other than the guitar and the 808), to me, do not showcase the instruments very well, as the sound of the Brass is rather buried in a mix that has tons of other stuff going on, and I found this to be similar with some others in this collection--therefore it's tough for me to really get a handle on the value here--but I need to explore it more thoroughly--since the bundle price is only a small discount, I may just go individual with some of these, because priced by themselves, they seem a good deal, if you will use them. It seems that there is more here than simply the samples themselves, the interface and flexibility appear to be a big marketing point--but the sound has to be there, and if it's not I'd pass.
  10. Do you have that code, by any chance, sir? Thanks!
  11. THis is infuriating to me. My PC, a custom build by Jim Roseberry with a crapload of CPU, RAM and solid state hard drives, does not pass the Health Checker test, and I am NOT going to mess with my system BIOS or anything else that could inadvertently result in a bricking of my mission critical, dedicated PC in my studio. Whatever improvements Windows 11 purports will have to wait or I'll just do without. I've not the time, expertise or energy to spend doing something completely unecessary just to update my OS. It's enough to finally get me to switch to a MAC, since I have Studio One (but still don't find it as easy to work with as Cakewalk, and have years of projects since 1995 using Cakwalk. I'm kind of upset about it, but in truth I'm guessing it may be quite a while before Win 10 goes obsolete or completely unsupported. Sometimes MS just gets in it's own way. Yuck.
  12. Yes, I am aware they are physically modeled--just being generic, what I meant to say is their "emulations" or representations of the instrument, sound superb to my ears, and I have other modelled instruments that I enjoy as well. Thanks.
  13. I'm checking with them, haven't heard back, but unlike T&S, there is no disclaimer on their site, and the prices are the same--thanks so much for reminding me there are plenty of other vendors, and I like Audiodeluxe a lot--I may even get a further discount from them if they offer it. UPDATE: while waiting for confirmation, I put the Solo Woodwinds bundle in my cart--it's on sale for $487.50 making the price $122 per instrument group, which is a huge savings--and then lo and behold, they have a summer promo coupon, reducing it to 438.75, making the price $110 per instrument...this is practically irresistable, I have long thought their samples were better than anyone else's, and I have a lot of great samples already with other products, but not quite with the expressiveness of SM's stuff. Soon as I hear from them I'm gonna go ahead.
  14. Have you tried to purchase any of these products from these sites in the US? I shop at those regularly, hadn't thought to try them, too, but I was told directly by Time Space that if I purchased there I would have to be refunded, and I certainly don't want to go to all that trouble for nothing. I will inquire directly to audio deluxe, et. al, if you are not sure the answer--but thanks for the suggestion!
  15. IS this true? This message was on the site: PLEASE NOTE: Due to contract terms, we're unable to sell Audio Modeling products to customers based in the USA. 😪
  16. Since I broke down and did the subscription service (which includes RX Pro) I am assuming (or hoping) the upgrade is automatically added once it releases.
  17. $46 when I clicked on the link--guess the freebie is over... Oh...just read the rest of the original post...my bad ☺️ haven't finished my coffee yet this morning...

    Gone again!

Hey, Larry, I live about 40 minutes from Myrtle Beach near the state line, I'm in NC...When you get in, let me know and maybe we can listen to some music, or if I have a gig (I do have one in Wilmington, NC on the 8th, and I play at a high-falutin' restaurant on Thursday nights in Myrtle Beach. Would be a hoot to actually meet the King of the Deal!
  19. Wow, it's time has come....lemme at them....
  20. Dont' forget my favorite, Orange Tree Samples. And so many others...oh, wait...you said "cheap," they are not, unless you get one of their deals and build up "orange slices" discounts, plus their annual group buy--which has recently ended for this year. Maybe Black Friday will bring some bargains. The quality is outstanding; I think it's well worth it.
  21. looks like a lot for the $$$. Love having more vocal stuff, plus all the unusual instruments. May be just the thing...
  22. Do we have to use the download installer to get it? THere's no toast notification and check for updates says I have the latest version. Assuming the answer is yes?
