Just a quick update - I'm in a lot more pain this morning but I guess that's only to be expected
I'm on pretty heavy duty painkillers and antibiotics so hopefully they'll start to kick in soon

Really? I mean, okay, may not have been "life threatening," but it would have certainly affected your quality of life.
Got my own thoughts about our "wonderful" NHS, but I'll keep them to myself. All to do with my missus, not me. Taking them ages to diagnose what is going on... Anyway, not for here.
Never great going "under the knife." So it's good to hear that you are on that road to recovery Jonesey 👍
And back home too... Always a bonus. I had six weeks of hospital food... I lost nearly two stone haha!
cheers
andy
Yes Andy, quality of life was well on the wane. I was getting secondary pain directly in the testicle due to the increasing size of the hydrocele and putting pressure on everything it touched. This in turn made it virtually impossible to drive, difficult to sleep, walk, even going for a pee was becoming problematic.
My thoughts at the end of today was simply that the level of care and attention I received from the staff at the Spire was comparable to that expected from the NHS in days gone by. Sadly this isn't the case anymore and I suspect I know why, but that's for a different thread, not this one.

Cool story bro
The consultant tld me a couple of weeks ago about what he was going to do - basically slice the thing open, invert it so he fluid drains out, then stitch it back up again inside out!!
Thanks @Kenny Wilson

Thanks Willard

I had an operation on my scrotum today to removed a rather large (500ml 😲) testicular hydroecele - a sac full of fluid that wasn't being absorbed back into my body.
Coming round afterwards was wonderful - don't know what drugs I was on but felt all sort of warm & woolly without a care in the world.
Just a shame that because it was deemed non life threatening by the NHS, I had to go private. Not a cheap procedure by any means
Still, back home now and starting to feel hungry 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

For freebies the BT plugs were excellent and I've used most of them in several projects

I never bothered to check out any alternative software and was happy to stick with Platinum forever if need be.
Multiple backups protected me somewhat from disaster, it was only the spectre of hardware failure that caused a bit of sphincter flutter 🤑

I've still got my 2 x Fostex D90's in the loft gathering dust & spiders webs
Ever tried slaving them together for 16 track recording? 😡
I remember buying additional hard drives for them and at that time, the onboard OS would only support discs up to 4.3Gb

Have you tried completely uninstalling the assistant before attempting to connect?
Probably won't make a difference but stranger things have happened

Will it work like it should, or do I need to download and install manually like the past number of times?
Like you, I had to install the last few manually, but this one worked straight from within the App

I've actually built a schedule in Excel showing what I need to take and when.
It was getting too confusing especially when you factor in my other meds (Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, gout & Cholesterol) 😮
