I already had Noveltech's Vocal Enhancer, which is pretty much the same thing but tuned for vocals. I actually use it now and then, especially when I'm working with dull vocal tracks that somebody else recorded. Character, otoh, seems to work best on acoustic drums and low-pitched percussion.

I've been on the fence about the Vocal Enhancer too. But been looking around for alternatives as well.

    How do you find it?

DId you actually get an email with a code after this?  How long did it take?

Ordered 1 hr ago here and nothing so far.

It took about a day for me. But I ordered pretty early.

The site kept crashing when the voucher was announced, which means it probably had a ton of traffic (and a ton of subsequent orders).

Hope you've got the license by now.

Base game always free. There are paid add-ons and subscriptions available.

    https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/pinball-fx

This title is in Early Access

"Pinball FX is an early access title, and many aspects of the game are still in active development. Early access is an opportunity for us to experiment with new ideas and figure out what works best with the help of direct feedback from the community. Throughout the coming months, we’ll be looking closely at how players engage with initiatives, features and content."

Was this given away some time earlier too? I am already seeing it in my library.

I have got a Buxom Betty for $9.99 with $25 voucher, sweet.

How did you bring it down to $9.99?

The lowest I can see is $14.98 after adding Buxom Betty and another $9.99 product to take the total above $32 which is the minimum required for using the $25 vouvher.

I figured this out by accident. Spent a whole day before that trying to figure out how to get it working.

I was getting an error with e-licenser on the first day when I tried to perform maintenance tasks to see if the free upgrade would show up. It finally worked yesterday. The license then changed to Grace Period Eligible as mentioned by Yan above.

But I was still trying to figure out how to go from there and randomly checking all steinberg installers/ download managers. Then I read somewhere on the Steinberg site that Version 12 and further will not be authorised through the E-licenser but the Activation Manager.

Went smoothly after that. Did the Grace Period check through the Activation Manager, got code in email and it upgraded immediately.

Edit: After the free upgrade the status in the E-Licenser changed from Grace Period Eligible to  Not Upgradable.  The Cubase version still shows as the original one there. Does not show version12. Though on launching version 12 works fine now.

I forgot to add that initially I wasn't seeing the "Grace period eligible" anywhere in my e-licenser.

When I tried to perform maintenance tasks I got an error and even the existing license got removed. As a result I was unable to use even my existing installations of Cubase (the earlier version) which otherwise had been working fine.

I tried the e-licenser again for a few days but kept getting the same error. My existing licenses were no longer showing in my account. So I couldn't even launch Cubase any more.

However, the e-licenser worked on its own after a few days and I went through the steps outlined in my original post above.

    Hope this helps.

I did that and it never changed my License to "Grace Period Eligible".  THAT has been the issue
    from the start.

I did get a lot of errors with the e-licenser on the first day that I tried. I just gave up and tried after two days. It got fixed on its own.

Hope you are able to resolve it soon too.

@cclarry Got this on another forum, maybe you can try it:

So you have to run eLicenser Maintenance to change the Cubase 11 licence to "Grace Period Eligible", then Steinberg Activation Manager to run the Grace Period check, it then e-mails you a Download Access Code to paste into Steinberg Download assistant which pulls up eLicenser CC to perform the upgrade.

    This ^^

That's on me, I named this promo.  Then I thought about this and the "Get Your Tron On" (also my handiwork) aren't great for our translators so I have to apologize to them.  In Spanish I believe the SampleTron 2 promo essentially became "Light your Tron on fire" :P or at best "Turn on your Tron" which is a little better.

I couldn't find it available anywhere yet either.  I think Beat does release issues pretty far ahead of the cover month, but I have yet to see the German or English version of the February issue on sale anywhere yet.

I’m a subscriber of Beat English version on Zinio, and February issue is not available yet.

i cant even find this mag anywhere....was it released? why february if it is january now?

I believe OP has made the post based on Beat downloads that are available via serialcentre.de.

There in the drop down you can see an entry for the Feb 2022 issue and one of the freebies listed is AAS Soundbanks.

Maybe the title of the thread should be changed to reflect that.

    Edit: See post below

At least GOG Galaxy is totally optional. GOG games are the only ones that ever touch my DAW PC, sans Galaxy. Of course that way they have no launcher, and no copy protection! No auto updates, and easily removed!

GOG.com has also been giving away free games this month as part of their winter sale.

Dec 27 freebie was X-Morph: Defense Complete Edition

The next freebie will be announced on January 3rd, 2022.

My current PC doesn't meet the GPU specs for some of the games so I'm saving those for when I have a new PC in a year or so time!

Re GPU - I have a NVIDIA Ge Force GTX 560 Ti but a few  of the games I see have a GTX660  stated as a minimum requirement. Is that card a step up from the 560 or just a newer model so my card may work with games that require the 660 spec?

I usually search on YouTube using the title of the game and the graphics card and almost always there is a game play/review video showing that game being played with that exact graphics card, at various settings.

It gives me a fair idea of what performance to expect, especially if I am about to buy that game.
