  1. Curses UJAM and PB. How dare you give away something I paid good money for two months ago? This is actually a fun little tool. I really have no qualms about paying $9 for it when it was released.
  2. Yes, I know that you weren't calling me anything. I said that kind of jokingly😉. I actually agree with some of your points which is why I suggested people like me contribute to companies like Aria Sounds resting on their laurels.
  3. From my perspective it depends. I am willing to pay for a product if it does what I need it to do and meets my expectations. To be perfectly honest, I can count on my one hand, the number of times I have contacted support for any product and received a satisfactory solution. So I guess I am more than a little jaded. I have received more support from community efforts like this forum than from any official company support. Now I guess you could say that people like me contribute to companies like Aria Sounds providing poor/non-existent support. Oh well. Call me a reprobate. if you want to.

Here is a plugin that lists support for Windows XP 😁
  5. Okay. I am back. Phew. Still okay with my card.
  6. Just checked my updates and there was another seemingly larger cumulative update for 21H1. It is KB5004476. I have an Nvidia card. Maybe this update will screw up my machine. Machine is restarting. Be back in five minutes, or maybe never depending on the outcome.
  7. Being a glutton for punishment, I decided to try the update. Everything worked fine at this end. It didn't take that long to do the update either. What graphics card do you have cclarry?
  8. Hmm. Works fine for me in Studio One 5.
  9. Funny how each of us have our developers that we just can't stand and we post our negative opinions each time there is a deal highlighting the developer. I am just as guilty as the rest. For me it is StageCraft. I will never buy anything from them no matter how good their new releases might be. For many others, it is PA or Waves. I actually like the Aurora Choirs, especially the sopranos. I did buy it for what it was, knowing that if there was issues, I would not get much support. This thread from 2017 seems to indicate that Aria was more responsive back then to issues: https://vi-control.net/community/threads/aurora-choirs-by-aria-sounds.63813/
  10. ^^^This^^^ The only thing I have actually sold, was a license to Kontakt, only because I had upgraded my Komplete Select to Komplete 12. So no regrets there.
  11. @Reid Rosefelt, do you have to be logged into your Adobe account or have a license to access the Adobe CC sound effects? The link from your video goes to a 404, for me.
  12. Upgrade from 8-track is $217.56. That is getting into the more doable range.

    Windows 11?

I wanted to try that once, but I couldn't get my Mac in the microwave.
  14. I agree with you on this one. I wanted to get into Bitwig because of Grid, but the price is just too steep for a year of support. I can justify never paying for WUP because Waves rarely updates their plugins and I don't feel compelled to pay for WUP (being on Windows). But while Bitwig does do meaningful upgrades frequently (I think), they are just too expensive for me over the long term.

    Windows 11?

In other words, no news at all.

    Windows 11?

Pretty sure I have a tape plugin to handle that.
  17. Got the same email. Don't mind the delay, especially given the circumstances. Delayed gratification may be a factor here as well.
  18. That was what I was told.
  19. Or KVR. Actually, I came for the free booze.

    Windows 11?

Got mine already (I am in a closed test group). Side effect though is that I have this strange urge to donate the the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
  21. I am with Grem on this too. The content was fine. It was the presentation that was off putting. Had you posted links to reliable, reputable reviews and evaluations rather than make us go hunting and sifting through dozens of YouTube videos to find those golden nuggets, you might have been taken more seriously. I had done that before you posted your comment on my search abilities and did not find the overwhelming evidence you were seeing. True, my search parameters were actually M1 verses AMD/Intel performance because of your assertion that AMD/Intel were in the stone age, or if not the stone age, then two or three years behind. To be honest, I was never really that interested in the 8GB/16GB question. I would never buy an 8 GB machine, period. My search told me that the M1 was a great processor especially in the power/performance ratio. But it also showed me that there was a lot of hype and controversy and I just was not ready to swallow the blue pill of the red pill yet. BTW, tacking lol onto something does not automatically turn something into a joke, especially if you have pissed people off already. Also being able to joke about someone especially in this community requires that you have already established a relationship with them, and so you know they are not going to take you seriously.

    Windows 11?

Bring back a full command line based OS. Forget this GUI BS.
