    Winding Down

Really interesting track Mark! Nice groove! The bass seems to be a bit soft on my system. I like the guitar tone! Well done!
  3. Thanks so much for the comments Gary! Yes, the edit took a long long time. I had to go back and find the necessary footage from a couple of years back and then decided what to use. Cheers!
  4. I thought that this might interest those with home studios like myself. I recorded my fourth solo instrumental album over the past few years and decided to film as many of the sessions as I could. I've have uploaded videos from my album over the past few years and have received many kind comments from everyone on this great forum. The album is finally finished and was released last week. I was lucky enough to get sponsorship from a high end audio/visual company who covered the costs of making a limited run of cds and Blu Ray discs as well. Having all this video footage available has enabled me to put together a “making of” video using a lot of the footage that I captured during the recordings. This video gives an in depth analysis of three of the tracks and how these songs are constructed in terms of the instruments, parts, arrangement, production etc. Certain instrument parts are highlighted to provide the viewer/listener with an insight into how they fit into the final mix. As you'll see, the entire album was recorded, mixed and mastered in Cakewalk. All the guitars parts were recorded with the Kemper Profiler directly into the DAW using my own profiles from my pedals and a Marshall JCM2000 combo. The Hammond organ was recorded at the keyboard player’s home studio. This has been a massive job to put together and I'm really happy with the results. I hope that you enjoy this as well!
  5. Thanks, Kevin. I've always liked longer pieces of music. I don't subscribe to the norms that dictate that music should be a certain time length.
  6. Thanks Paul! Yes, I can't remember when last I had to do any drum programming!
  7. Thanks for listening/watching and for your comments! Cheers!
  8. Thanks so much Tom! Thanks for your comments, Kevin! Cheers! Thank you for the comments treesha! That's interesting Kevin! I also sold a Gibson LP Studio to by my second Tokai.
  9. Wow Andy! Get off your high horse! So you're telling me that every guitar player that plays a Les Paul replica should be ashamed??? I can name Ibanez, ESP, Cort, Yamaha, PRS (Gibson tried to sue them and lost the case). These guitars are not trying to pass of their replicas as Gibson knock offs. They do not have Gibson on the headstock. I have a Gibson Les Paul Standard and can honestly say that these Japanese hand made Tokai Loverocks completely blow the Gibson away in terms of build quality, attention to detail and playability. You have no idea of any guitar player's personal situation and have absolutely no right in telling someone what they should be playing. I really don't even know why I'm bothering to justify myself to someone who thinks that they can dictate to anyone about personal choice. I shouldn't even dignify your comments with a reply. Go and pick a fight somewhere else!
  10. Thanks antler! Thanks for the comments Eric! Thanks Kurt! Thanks Wookiee! A vocal would have been great! This is an instrumental album but I'm thinking of doing a vocal album next. Cheers!
  11. This is the final track from my soon to be released album Big Moving Parts. The song was written by Dave Sharp.
  12. Thanks so much for the comments! Glad you liked the mix Mark!
  13. Thanks for the comments and for listening/watching. I'll relay your comments to the other guys! Cheers!
  14. Has anyone noticed a slight lag in this update? For example when cutting a clip in two there's a slight delay before the mouse cursor becomes available again. This definitely happened after the update. I'm not sure if it's coincidence but I'm sure it never happened before.
  15. Thanks Paulo! No need to throw your gear away! 😂
  16. Really nice song and video production. I'm curious, why did you record in Cakewalk and then swap DAWS and finish it in Cubase?
  17. Thanks for the comments and for listening, Peter! Yep, it was difficult to make it any shorter!
  18. Thanks for the comments Larry! Glad you enjoyed it!
  19. I've recently had one of my tracks featured on Mike's Creative Sause Youtube Channel. I'm sure that Mike doesn't need an introduction as he's been putting Cakewalk Tutorials for a long time. I was track number two.
