    Lockdown Blues

I decided to revisit the blues with this little instrumental. Once again had the pleasure of playing with Dave Sharp (Hammond C3 and Leslie as well as the bass) and Larry Rose (drums). Guitar once again was the Kemper direct into the DAW. I think that it came out really well. It was great fun putting this together. Hope you enjoy! Cheers Peter.
  4. Unable to update. If I try from within the program, it downloads and then gives the message "ready to install". If I tell it to install nothing happens. If I try to update from Bandlab Assistant I get the "installing" message and that's how it stays. Any ideas?
  5. Well Jack, At least you can see that it was completely live. No post production.
  6. Thanks for watching and for your comments! Cheers!
  7. We recorded our CCR tribute in my studio and filmed it as well. This was done during lockdown as a live stream back in April. A bit strange to not have an audience but it is what it is. We decided to put it up on Youtube for viewing if anyone is interested. The link will be up for 48 hours. Happy New Year to all! Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the kind comments, Tom! Yes, Larry gets a lot of comments about his guitar face (live and in the studio) ?

Just had an interesting spin off to my video. A top end Hi Fi company wants to use my music (starting with this one) to use as a demo in their showrooms and on their website. The best part is that they're paying a decent amount for this. In this music climate I'll take any kind of new business model for my music.

Thanks, Starise! We certainly do play gigs, unfortunately due to the Covid restrictions our gigs have been cut to a minimum.

Thanks for the comments, Paul! Thank you Douglas! Much appreciated! Thanks DC! Yes, I am fairly hard on guitar strings. I use quite heavy gauge acoustic strings, so in order to get any kind of vibrato on a wound third requires an aggressive approach. Cheers.

Maybe think about dropping the reverb a little on the drums. That will bring them forward a touch.
  14. Your arrangement is excellent! Well done!

This is the fourth track from my upcoming album "Big Moving Parts". I decided to create a rough theme to this video. I think it works in the context of the title etc. Hope you enjoy. Cheers.
  20. Thanks so much for the comments! Cheers!
  21. Thanks, Bjorn! Basically a Kemper is a digital hardware device that mimics the tone of a miced up guitar amp which allows you to record directly into your DAW.
  22. If anyone uses a Kemper, the main profile used in the first part of the song was my Marshall JCM2000/Drivemaster amp/pedal combination. It's available as a free download on my website. www.peterhanmer.co.za Cheers.
  23. Well you're not wrong. The Kemper profiles were made from my Marshall. Cheers.
  24. I would really like to have the ability to copy a file from one project (maybe an older project) of the same song and be able to paste it at exactly the same time on the timeline in a newer version of the song. At the moment I have to make sure that the cursor is in exactly the same place on the newer track to ensure that the audio is pasted in the correct place on the timeline. To have a "paste in place" option would be great. Thanks.
  25. Thanks for your comments guys! @ Mark, the Kemper was a game changer for me. The profiles used in the track were my own profiles which I created from my live rig. Cheers.
