  1. Wow! Thank you for your comments! I'm really glad that the song had such a great effect on you! I hope you're feeling much better! Cheers!
  2. Thanks Keith! Thanks Mark. Yes, that's the reason we did it. We really don't know if we'll get another chance to do it again.
  3. Thanks for the comment Wookie! Thanks noynekker, yes, I don't know if or when it'll ever happen again. Just glad we were able to do it at all. Thanks Olaf!

Lovely production! Great guitar tone in the choruses. Well done Nigel!
  5. Thanks Antler! I'm amazed that you could make it out!
  6. Thanks for the comments, Paulo! Much appreciated! Thank you IntrEd!
  7. Thanks so much for the comments guys! To answer your question Nigel, I have three Sony HD video cameras which I place around the studio when I know I'm going to record various instruments. To be perfectly honest, I don't spend as much time as should with the camera placement etc as I'm more concerned with the actual performances of the recordings. If only I had another pair of hands to be a kind of "roving" camera that would be great. It is nice to have three views of each instrument though! Cheers!
  8. I've known David Myers for many years and never knew that he played piano. He mentioned one day that he'd like to record one of his original tracks and asked if I'd produce it. I was completely blown away by his composition and playing. This has been a most enjoyable project and I hope there'll be more like this from him. As usual, we filmed the sessions...
  9. I did try Elastique Pro and the result was unusable. Audio artifacts everywhere. I remember when Sonar closed down before Bandlab took over, I tried Samplitude Pro. I couldn't warm to it but I have to say that the time stretching in Samplitude was excellent. No artifacts, glitches etc. The funny thing is that it also used the Elastique algorithm.
  10. Thanks for the replies guys! I will try the Elastique Efficient. There are no extra markers in the file so hopefully it'll render out OK! Cheers!
  11. I'm trying to bounce a piano clip which has had some slight timing tweaks done to it with Audiosnap. I have to say that the results have been pretty underwhelming. I haven't used Audiosnap for a while and previously I've never been very impressed with Cakewalk's audio time stretching. There has always been artifacts on the final rendered audio. I thought that by now things should have improved but unfortunately it seems like it's still the same. I'd just like to know if there's anyone who has been successful using Audiosnap and if so, which rendering algorithm did you use? Thanks.
  12. Thanks so much for the comments, guys! Nigel, I'm originally from Cape Town. I hope to go back sometime soon. Cheers!
  13. I had a visit from a very good friend from my school days way back when. He was the drummer in our school band back in the 70's. He came out from New Zealand to South Africa and to celebrate the visit I put this track together. It's the first time we've played together in over 40 years! The track is quite a laid back bluesy sort of song..
  14. Thanks guys! Wookie, I wish it was a rock classic!😂 The album revamp is coming along nicely. Only a few songs to go.
  15. I've had a listen and can definitely hear the resemblance. Thanks for the link!
  16. Thanks for the comments! Interesting comparison. I'm a huge Purple fan but I've never listened to Queensryche. I think I'll go and check them out.
